Nice People, pizza is better than average. If you order ahead your pie will be ready when they said.

PersNIKKIty's Cafe - Mac and cheese was the best we have had off a kids menu

Great hometown diner with the typical foods and drinks. Recommended to us by another (former)…read morelocal, we decided to go for dinner. Lots of seating and a very welcoming environment. We ordered at the counter and food was brought to our table. They brought fries for the kids meal instead of a fruit cup but quickly and graciously brought it out with a sincere apology. It was one of the best burgers I have had and all three types of fries were the perfect crispness and taste. Will definitely be recommending this anytime someone heads up to Show Low!

"Persnikkity's Food Offers a Lot: Hits the Hungry Spot"…read more Walking into Persnikkity in Show Low (which I have done many times from their old location to their new one), you immediately feel like you've stumbled onto something the town's been keeping to itself. The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

We got red velvet, lemon, churro, peanut butter bomb, and German chocolate. Our favorite is the peanut butter bomb. They're all moist but the red velvet doesn't have the cheesecake buttercream I love. Instead it's just a simple buttercream and the taste did not taste like a red velvet.

It occupies the space formerly inhabited by another dessert shop. If you're not actively on the lookout, you might miss it. I stumbled upon it while grabbing a snack at the pretzel store next door. I have a huge sweet tooth and couldn't resist. I was immediately greeted by the kind gentleman behind the counter. I later found out he is the husband of the owner and baker. They have a great selection of cupcakes; Ding Dong, cookies & cream, peanut butter, lemon, and more. The cupcakes start at $4 and are huge! Since I had just bought a snack next door, I decided to limit myself to one cupcake. It was tough to choose, but I was intrigued by the Ding Dong cupcake. I wanted to see if it tasted just like one. I took it home and shared it with my teenager. The cupcake was moist and delicious! It tasted like a Ding Dong and even had the cream filling. I kinda regretted not sampling more flavors, but now that I know where they're located, I will certainly be back to try another cupcake!
