Nice People, pizza is better than average. If you order ahead your pie will be ready when they said.

We got boba and one of each available cupcake to sample for my friend's wedding this fall…read more The tapioca pearls in the boba were the worst I've ever had. I saw them sitting out on the counter and didn't know that was an issue till I looked it up later. They are apparently not supposed to sit out at all. No wonder they tasted so weird. The matcha powder was not good quality either. We tried the chocolate, german chocolate, lemon, birthday cake, strawberry, and black forest cupcakes. The cupcakes were very underwhelming for a professional bakery. Some of the cake was clearly from a box and very dry. The buttercream wasn't very good and wasn't consistent across cakes. Some were grainy and others had a waxy texture. Some, if not all, of the filling was definitely out of a jar or store bought, especially the cherry filling in the black forest. The filling was also very minimal. The communication was also very concerning and scared us away from considering them for an event as important as a wedding. We attempted to email and submitted an info request but got no response at all. We had to call on two seperate occasions to get someone on the phone and when we did the person clearly did not know enough about the bakery itself to help get us information. Would not recommend at all.

This place was great! So great, we went twice in one day…read more We came right at openings for breakfast and the clean, bright space and fun menu made us optimistic. I had the Holla Tots -- tater tots with ham, bacon, egg, and hollandaise. Delicious! I also ordered a Mangonada Mimosa which was so fun. We ended up coming back for lunch where I shared the turkey club and a BLT. It was packed at lunch but somehow still easy to find a spot to sit. This place has food and drink options to suit a lot of tastes, great staff, and plenty of seating in a cute space. The attention to detail is clear from the fun food and drink names to the decor (especially the bathroom) and the 3 or 4 kinds of ketchup. I wish they had one near me!

"Persnikkity's Food Offers a Lot: Hits the Hungry Spot"…read more Walking into Persnikkity in Show Low (which I have done many times from their old location to their new one), you immediately feel like you've stumbled onto something the town's been keeping to itself. The place has that lived-in charm where locals know each other's orders, and the staff treats you like you're part of the club from minute one. I've made the Asian chicken wrap and twisted beef Philly my reliable go-tos--they nail that balance of fresh and hearty that keeps pulling me back. The morning totchos are a brilliant mess of everything breakfast should be, the chicken and waffle hits that sweet-savory note without trying too hard, and even their bagel with salmon comes out like they actually care about it. The vanilla matcha bubble tea deserves its own mention because it tastes like someone put thought into it rather than just dumping powder into a cup. Service here makes the food taste even better--attentive without hovering, friendly without being fake. The vibe is casual enough that you can show up in whatever you're wearing, but the food quality makes it clear they're taking things seriously where it counts. It's the kind of spot where you find yourself coming back not just for one signature dish, but because the whole experience just works.

We got red velvet, lemon, churro, peanut butter bomb, and German chocolate. Our favorite is the peanut butter bomb. It occupies the space formerly inhabited by another dessert shop. If you're not actively on the lookout, you might miss it. I stumbled upon it while grabbing a snack at the pretzel store next door. I have a huge sweet tooth and couldn't resist. I was immediately greeted by the kind gentleman behind the counter. I later found out he is the husband of the owner and baker. They have a great selection of cupcakes; Ding Dong, cookies & cream, peanut butter, lemon, and more. The cupcakes start at $4 and are huge! Since I had just bought a snack next door, I decided to limit myself to one cupcake. It was tough to choose, but I was intrigued by the Ding Dong cupcake. I wanted to see if it tasted just like one. I took it home and shared it with my teenager. The cupcake was moist and delicious! It tasted like a Ding Dong and even had the cream filling. I kinda regretted not sampling more flavors, but now that I know where they're located, I will certainly be back to try another cupcake!
