I had almost everything in my car stolen while I left my car with them. No, my car wasn't broken into in any way. This was someone with my keys. This person took my owners manual, my registration / insurance, hand sanitizer, sunglasses, etc. They tried blaming this on a homeless person somehow getting into my car (my car locks automatically so even if they had left it unlocked, it would lock itself in a short amount of time). They found the time to go through my trunk to find my wheel lock keys and steal those too. The disturbing part in this all is how long this person had alone with my car in order to pick and choose what things they wanted to take. Clearly no one is watching your car while it's there. Or the employees think the customers cars are a free for all. They took over 10 days just to fix my barely bumped up car. I called every day for a few days and NEVER would hear back from them. If you have to take your chances here make sure you take EVERYTHING with you or one of their low life employees will steal it from you for whatever reason. So pathetic. read more

Don't waste your time with these guys if you need any actual body work done. I'm sure there great at changed bumpers and grills but anything beyond that they seem ill prepared for. I was super clear on the year make and model of my truck when I made the appointment for the estimate, waited two weeks to get it in and was told in 10 minutes they wouldn't work on it because it was 20 years old. I was also super clear on the phone the frame is tweaked and that's all I'm looking to have repaired (I already know a body shop doesn't want to touch the cab) D&E alignment highly recommended these guys for the frame work but after wasting two weeks waiting to be told something they could have told me over the phone is very frustrating. read more

This is the second time we've used this shop. The first time the paint was peeling on our car and they did a fantastic job making it look brand new. That was around June 2020. We had to come back again because someone damaged our suv in a parking lot and never left a note! Jose Rivera took very good care of us both times. I own a 2006 Prius hatchback. Unfortunately, the exterior panel was coming off. I was a previous satisfied customer with Caliber Collision so I decided to give them a visit (2040 Mission Rd) to consider my options. Since it's an older car, I really didn't want to order & replace the part unless I absolutely had to. Alternatively, they were able to fix the problem on the spot with glue. I stopped in WITHOUT an appointment & they still made the time to look at my car. The technicians name was Noel. It was a 15min fix with NO CHARGE. Great experience! I dropped off my car for a repair and Caliber coordinated with the insurance company so I literally just dropped it off and got my rental car. Daniel of Caliber kept me updated on exactly what was going on and time frames. When I came to pick up my car - not only was it repaired ..... they had it completely detailed. My car had not looked that good since I purchased it! They helped me move all my stuff into my car and I was able to leave the rental car so I didn't have to go back to the rental company. Let me start by saying, I really want to give a ZERO star review. However, anything below 3 and Yelp allows the company to delete it so I'm told. We were referred to Caliber by our insurance company, upon arrival, they couldn't locate my data within the computer. After filling out the paperwork to get a quote, the receptionist finally located my claim. Next up, Julian L took the needed pictures and gathered the needed information for the quote. 2 weeks later, still no quote, Julian is hard to get ahold of. Oh, Julian L left and is at another Caliber Collision... fine, the Mgr should have picked up the slack. Nope. Requested to speak with the Mgr, well Ulises was gone, offsite. So request a call back from him or a district/regional mgr... 24 hours later, no call no message. So, off to call corporate. They put me in touch with Adrian, who laughed off my complaints at first. Well after some choice words and a [romise to call back, Adrian called and said the quote would be sent that evening. It did arrive sometime later. Just want to tell about my terrible experience here. Isiah first forgot to order the parts for my repair and when I showed up for the appt there were no parts after waiting a week. Then he supposedly ordered them and was told it was back ordered. All totaled, waited 3 weeks with no repair. Called him, left a message and got no call return. Totally aggravating experience so I went to their competitor, they ordered the parts while I waited, and in 1 day the car was repaired and I am totally happy. Felt totally disrespected and ignored. On a recent trip to Tahoe, we had the luck of having tire tread hit and completely destroy my front end undercarriage on my BMW X3. I had options on where to take my vehicle but it would take an appraisal, pictures...ect., or I could take it directly into Caliber Collision, with estimate to be done within.. I went with CC. The repair took a bit longer than anticipated since the BMW parts had to be ordered, but at least I knew I was getting original BMW parts. Ulysses was always in touch, keeping me updated on the status. There was also a small ding/scrape on the side, which Ulysses took care of.. my vehicle looked amazing when he was done! This is how a business should be run. I've been there 3 times. All of the experiences great. At one time, they were super busy. They told us it might be awhile, but within 10 minutes somebody came out to look at our car. What we wanted done was elaborate, and we wanted it done really cheap. They couldn't help us, but none of the other places we went to could, either. The guy was kind enough to suggest ways we could have it done in our price range. Another time, I took a company car there. I was told to fix the bumper properly would be around $800. For a quick fix, that wouldn't look as good...he wasn't sure. I told him the quick fix. He pulled the bumper off, spent 15 minutes on it, and fixed it. It looked great. He didn't charge me. For a business to do that is beyond classy. So when my friend had a dent in her car, I insist she go there. She was thrilled with the price they quoted her, and she got her ride fixed. Good job, guys! read more

I returned to caliber and had my 2016 Silverado repaired because they did a pretty good job on my last Truck I had repaired there. This time it was just the opposite; the sales rep was rude and condensending make light of the damage to my new truck which actually pissed me off a little. Should have turned around and left right there but thought I would give them a chance despite my gut feelings and his rudeness. After a day I decideded to go with caliber because they did a good job last time. The repair was started on time. He called me back the next day and doubled the estimate which I was paying cash for out of pocket, of course after dismantling my truck.. He told me some of the reasons why but not all the things he was replacing until later when I inspected the invoice. Shady.......He commented the repair would still be done on time. I kept getting updates during the week saying repair was on time until afternoon I supposed to pickup when he called and said they would not be done until Monday morn adding three more days to my rental car. grrrr He could have let me know sooner and not at last minute. When I showed up Monday to pickup truck. It was not ready and receptionist said they were still sanding it, it was in detail department and still need to be buffed and washed again.. (What are you kidding me) Now I I am furious four days later with rental car and I am just getting more excuses followed by more excuses. I had to leave work ( losing half days pay) and drive down there in person to get to bottom of the issue. I spoke with sales rep again and let him know how I felt and I wanted my truck back TODAY. I was forced to go sit in their lobby for hours to ensure I would get my truck back that day! If I didn't I am sure they would have strung it out another day or two. In the end cost me extra 4 days rental and half days pay which he compensated only 100 dollars. Repair was done ok but I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE AGAIN. Not enough adjectives to explain how I feel. I would give 6 stars if I could, excellent service and workmanship at the Escondido Caliber Collision Location. Service Advisor, Jose Rivera fixed my car's side mirror after it was damaged backing out of my garage. I first took it to a Honda dealership where they told me they would have to replace most parts including camera, which still worked. They quoted me $750 to fix and Jose at Caliber Collision fixed the plastic pieces back together as a courtesy, for free! It's not 100% perfect but you really can't tell anything happened. They even cleaned up the scratches, amazing! I have never received such great service at a body shop before. They were quick but thorough, friendly and professional. The entire time I felt like Ulises Salgado (my service advisor) and Caliber had my best interests in mind. It's rare to find someone who truly cares about their customers and I always felt like everyone at Caliber had my back. Every single person I interacted with at Caliber was friendly, supportive, responsive (nobody dodged my calls), and knowledgeable. They kept me informed along the way and worked with the insurance company and dealer for me (my car had to go to the dealer for some repairs). When I picked up my car, they had even washed and detailed it! My only negative feedback is that they don't offer full car services (oil changes, maintenance, etc.). If you are looking for a collision repair place that you can trust, definitely choose Caliber in Escondido (on Mission Rd). I was rear ended and the at fault party suggested that I take my car into Caliber collision in Escondido. Being a skeptic at heart I prepared myself to be disappointed . Surprisingly I got exactly opposite of what I expected. Reagan and Jose went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied and taken care of. And I never felt as if I were a nuisance - even at times my long line of questioning and concerns would and have irritated a many of customer service reps. Vern is the man!! Let's be real, no one ever looks forward to taking their car to a Collision Repair Center. Because if your there it usually means you are about to spend some cash and be without your vehicle for a little while. From the time I walked in the door they were super courteous and respectful. Vern got to me quickly. Walked outside with me and took photos and talked me through what it looked like they would have to do. Let me know an estimated time frame and even offered to get me over to Enterprise for a rental. I received text updates the entire time my car was there letting me know the progress of the work. Absolutely unacceptable. Took our Mercedes into this Caliber, only signed disassembly paper. Without my consent they sanded my car, and broke my bumper during disassembly assuming I was going to repair. Also look like my car was left unlocked. As the whole inside of my car is a mess! My daughter was in an accident causing damage to her rear bumper and trunk. We were going to pay out of pocket and not use insurance. He was very upfront and honest about the work that needed done and he provided the best price! We dropped off the car and Ted called with an update within hours. There was no wondering when the car will be done, will there be extra costs, etc. The total turn around time to get the car back was much quicker than I anticipated and way less time than other shops quoted us.
