Great service and great staff. Went in for a repair and got my car bar in less than a week. Thank you for your help.

I had amazing service at Caliber Collision, Francisco was great and kept me informed through the whole process and got my car back to me before I expected! I was happy to be able to get it back before the 3 day weekend! Would recommend this place to all my friends and family! read more

This place provides subpar communication. I've had a vehicle at this shop for 3 weeks now with a dent and a few scratches - honestly the damage is purely aesthetic and barely even worth bringing in in the first place, but didnt want to lose value on the vehicle. So this place has a text message based status system that is completely useless at best and detrimental at worst. It gives vague updates about your vehicle such as "Repairs are coming along very nicely", and "we are nearing completion"... Except after telling me IN WRITING they are nearing completion April 30, Im sitting here on May 12 and still don't have my vehicle. In fact, after I got the "nearing completion" text, I got another text saying its going to the paint shop lol. Totally ridiculous. In addition to this useless and detrimental text status system, I called this place and had an actual person tell me at 2PM on a Friday "We MIGHT be done with your vehicle by the end of today". Might, huh? This is unacceptable behavior for a place that is getting $6-$7k for body work, insurance or not. I work in a project-based profession as well, and we give status updates with specific details and DATES we will be finished. Ok, so they told me that they needed to get a part. I checked, and the part they needed could be obtained online for $90 at most. This is clearly a large corporate shop that is collecting from the insurance companies and really does not care at all about the customer. The best part of all of this has been sheer entertainment these people have provided me; it's been quite funny. I mean, I almost feel like I should open up a body shop myself and take 20x the amount of time it takes to manufacture and entire vehicle from scratch to tie up someone's vehicle in order to fix a dent while collecting $7k from insurance at the least. read more

My parked car got hit, I am going through the insurance and they sent me here for the repair. Once I got assigned to Noel for my repairs, he was super friendly, transparent, walked me through the entire process, and I knew exactly what was happening at every step. Absolutely wonderful service by Noel! The front desk at this location was great too. They called Enterprise for me to get me a ride for my rental and when I picked up the car, they arrange for Enterprise to pick up the rental from them. The reason I knocked a star down was the Caliber call center. I called a different Caliber in Escondido and the person was very rude. She let me know that they don't service my car there to call a different location. Didn't transfer me, didn't offer me the number or anything. I guess I called ten min after hours so I got the call center and they were no help and said to call back. Once the insurance told them I was going there, I got calls from Caliber but it kept switching numbers. They called working hours so I couldn't answer and I could never get back to the person who called me they didn't help. It took me 2 weeks to finally get an appt for two week later so it was a bit frustrating. Overall, I would def recommend this specific location. All the staff was nothing but wonderful and the car looks great! read more

My son got into a car accident. The car is not drivable. They said they were busy so they could not take my car for nine days. I said ok. I would wait. They call me two days from my appt. and say they can't take my car in. I asked why? They said because they are too busy and need to cancel my appt. Why anyone would want to wait a week for them to cancel my appt. Is beyond me. They hung up the n me twice and then I called for the manger who was conveniently in a meeting. I could have brought the car to another collision repair place during that time.l instead of waiting and I wish I would have. Customer service is important and this place forgot its responsibility to people who need quality service. They lost my respect today and I would never waste another day asking these people to do anything to my car. Step up your customer service or step down as a company, because you have failed the public once again. I wish they a half star! read more

My car was run into and back door was mostly destroyed. Front brakes were brand new a week earlier. After the accident they didn't work right. They took the car to two dealers who couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. Weeks went by and they promised they would fix it. And they did. Ended up with a brand new power brake actuator system at no charge to me. Insured and wouldn't pay them so they took the hit. Really stand up repair shop. If I ever need auto body work it's where I'm going. Also they polished the headlamps and rear lamps at no charge! Wow! read more

I've had my car into Caliber Collision several times. Each time their entire staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very responsive. This last time I had my rear wheel fender fixed. Amazing service!!Ray is great, he was was on top of it and helped me so much will be recommending to all my friends.

When my Toyota RAV 4 was rear ended, Calibre replaced my power lift gate. Within days, I detected a little "squeak" when it opened, which I ignored thinking it was no big deal and might eventually go away. It didn't. The squeak became more pronounced and when the lift gate failed to open, I took it straight to Toyota. When I explained that the lift gate had been replaced at Caliber they recommended that I take it back there for an adjustment. Rather than helping me-- KC Toomey tried to tell me it was nothing they could have done, rather that my pistons had failed or that the latch was faulty-- things he says they didn't address when they replaced my lift gate. He refused to take it in and have it looked at. Then he said that they could call my insurance to try and add the repair to my claim. No offer to warranty their original repair work and no attempt to investigate or fix the problem. Very disappointed and I won't be returning here again. read more

Caliber Collision - Great repair and color match ! - Body Shops Near Me - Escondido, California

I recently had a little bit of ding or two on my car. Since my car is European I was sent to their location in a Escondido. One of the first things I noticed with Calliber is there are a variety of locations throughout North County at least, this is very nice as a customer to have so many options. My specialist Lance Leonard was wonderful. He always responded to me whether it via phone or email in under 45 minutes. He was always positive and pleasant. My car was done the date that they projected. My car came out fabulous. It looks brand new. My expectations were not only met but exceeded. They even offered to drop the car off to me as I was unable to drive as I had sustained an eye injury. Caliber and Lance went above and beyond to help Me through a difficult situation. I highly recommend snd want to say thank you so much. read more

I came to get an estimate for my vehicle after being rear ended and I went to caliber in Escondido and Marina was very helpful

Caliber Collision provided exceptional service in helping me fix my car. From the moment I walked in, the staff was friendly and attentive, especially a big thanks to Marina she kept me informed throughout the repair process and delivered on their promise of quality workmanship. My car looks as good as new, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Caliber Collision to anyone in need of automotive repairs. read more

They fixed my problem promptly after an initial hiccup. Great customer service most of all.

I went to Caliber Collision because AAA uses them and I know they wouldn't trust anyone who wasn't fair or didn't do a great job. I'm so glad I did!! They gave me great advice on what I should do and I got my car back in better shape than it was before the bumper damage Jose and Steve explained everything and worked with me far above expectations! After a hit and run a few years back where I just went to who I thought would be cheapest and got scammed so badly this experience was such a relief, and I can't thank them enough!! I hope I never need them again but there's no question that if I do they are my only choice read more

My car got taken there last week and everything I call to get an update I either don't get any call back or I get a response like I'm annoying them. They tell you they will look at it 1 day but never do. This is my 3rd and final time with them. Stay away from Luis. To give them credit my other times were positive. read more

Several years ago I had my truck professionally repaired here. The service was great and so was the quality of work. The paint on my truck matched the original and the bumper was brand spanking new. I recently got rear ended in a different car and came in for an estimate. Parking was limited and tight but the service I receive was once again excellent. Thanks for taking care of my auto body needs. read more

Spoke to the manager today he explained to me how the repair for any accidents have to be approved by the insurance company. Caliber Colission first gave my car back with the bumper not properly seated due to the insurance provided an after market parts. The car looks great, but the bumper did not fit properly. Caliber Collision took the car back and contacted the insurance company and the insurance gave them the right body parts. After the second try and the right parts, the car looks perfect. Noel informed me everyday on the status of my car. The car looks great. read more

I was very happy with this shop.I have had a lot of experience with auto body shops over years and this was one of the best ones I've used . I received updates on my car , they tried to accommodate my schedule for me to pick up and answered all my questions . It's always tough when you get in an accident , I was mad at the person that hit me but they helped me get thru it by being professional every step of the way. The best part is my car looks amazing again. Just like the accident never happened . I love it. I'm back on the road killer commute but if I end up needing a shop again I know where to go. read more

We weren't actually customers of this business, but my sister-in-law had a flat tire at the gas station next door. The lug wrench we were using on her tires was stripping the lug nuts. We walked to Caliber Collision and they were more than happy to help. We filled the tire with air and drove next door. Peter, one of the techs, took time away from what he was doing to help with an impact wrench to change the tire. They didn't charge us anything and were extremely gracious with their time and service. I have no idea how we were going to change her tire with a wrench that didn't fit. We will forever be grateful to Peter for his selfless service. read more

My experience did not start well but now that I am talking to the Manager she is really doing her best to help me track down the missing cargo net. I really do appreciate her help. It took 2 weeks for my car to be deemed a total loss but this place is super busy. Adrian started going thru the details of my estimate and I immediately got very worried that my car will not end up in its pre accident condition. He just argued that only 1 tire was damaged and thought it would be wonderful if I took 2 hours out of my day to have them walk me through everything. I hung up on him and called my insurance. My agent was super helpful and made notes of my concerns. It is never fun when a random person totals your car. read more

I called Caliber collision and spoke to Mark to find out how much it would cost to put a outside door handle on my car Mark said that it could probably be put on without taking the panel off but to bring it in and he would look at it and let me know wether or not the door handle could be installed without taking the door panel apart so I took it in and the door handle could be installed without the door panel being taken apart. Mark new what he was talking about and saved me money. read more

If you define a collision center based on having your vehicle returned to you exactly as it was pre-crash then Caliber falls short. It all comes down to the fit and finish. While the big stuff looks perfect, you can see the minor short cuts taken on the place where they tried to manually fix an edge.. Just so you know.... - Caliber was sued by the state in 2003 for fraud and settled for 5 million. This didn't sway my opinion to use them. My theory is that large companies like this try extra hard not run afoul of the law. - The communication was good. Obviously they took the lawsuit seriously as the make every effort to guild you through the process. - Problem is they didn't replace a part, they just fixed it. I suspect there is higher profit margin (labor) on fixing than buying a part an installing it. In summation, If your insurance company sends you here don't fret. They did a good overall job. If you're very particular, especially if you have a nice car, make sure you thoroughly examine everything. read more
