They tried to nickel and dime us along the way and although our insurance covered most of the cost I'm pretty sure they found things to add to the bill to pad it. Super honest, quality shop. I brought my car in with some paint on the door transferred from another car's door in a parking lot. Another ship estimated $1-2k and said it needed to be repainted along with the neighboring panel, and that there was a small but hard to see dent. The fellow at El Dorado took a look, brought some buffing compound, and buffed it out for free while confirming there was no dent. Talking to him I could tell they do things right and don't cut corners. I'm sure you can find cheaper but you may get what you pay for. I needed a mirror to be fixed, unfortunately had an accident where it took it almost fully off. I called to see what the availability will look like for fixing and mirror and I talk to an individual, James. I was able to come in that day and get an estimate on what would happen if I got my mirror fixed there. James did as what happened to cause my mirror to be broken, so he's your words carefully on what you say. I had a two day delay on my mirror being delivered from LEXUS in el cajon, both not being able to be delivered according to plan. Luckily the mirror that they [the collision center] received was already painted and ready to be installed. The whole timing it took for the mirror to be fixed was about 30 minutes longer than my original quote time. I was satisfied with the outcome of the work that was done at the collision center. Considering I called that week and got everything done by Thursday, it was pretty good. If needed I would come back here again. read more

I had a very positive experience with El Dorado Collision Center. They repaired my Acura fairly quickly and were extremely communicative. I won't hesitate to use them again. I don't use auto body services very often. The last time I needed it, I used a company in Sorento Valley that had very good reviews for repairing Tesla's. That company took six weeks to repair the fender-bender on my car that didn't need parts. EDCC took a week and a half, and that was during the Independence Day week. The repairs look good. The new bumper looks new, and the paint matches. Time will tell how well the repair holds up, but it seems very good. I can't overemphasize how good EDCC was at keeping me informed of the progress of my car's repair. It confirmed that they hadn't forgotten about me or my car. They ordered the parts and I brought in the car. They asked if I needed a rental or a ride but I was all good. The service reps called or texted to keep me updated on their status. They noticed some minor damage to my radiator and gave me some options to replace it or leave it in. They were informative, knowledgeable and reasonable. They showed me pictures of the damage so I can make an informed decision. They weren't trying to price gouge me and make more money. After a couple days, the car was fully repaired and washed. I came in and picked up the car with no hassles whatsoever. It was quick and easy. The customer service rep and I inspected the repair work and the car looked brand new. On April 2nd 2019, I brought my 2017 Toyota Prius to El Dorado for some minor body work. I was in a minor collision in a nearby parking lot (not my fault). They did a wonderful job. The service and repair were first class. John (the owner) and Paul were in contact with me on a daily basis. The original estimate was for 7-10 days and it was finished in 8 days. It looked great and the entire car was detailed inside and out. While being in a minor collision that is not your fault is a bummer, the good folks at El Dorado helped make the whole process a little easier. They are a State Farm recommended shop and John also got me a free rental upgrade at the (very) nearby Enterprise Rent-A-Car. I was hit by another driver and had to get an estimate for a repair because the other driver used Allstate and this company was in the system. Took my car to El Dorado to get my estimate 8/27. They documented everything and gave me an estimate. Was asked to bring the car back on 8/30 in the afternoon to start the repair. Dropped my car off 8/30. As they took in the car, they noticed that the bumper in the front was not aligned. I told them that that was not there before, so it must have been part of the accident. They kept the car and they were nice and gave me a ride to the car rental place. Got a phone call on 3/31at work saying that the front bumper, that was not aligned, was not due to the accident. Told me I could pay out of pocket if I wanted it fixed. I asked them to call the insurance company to see if they would pay for it, since I had never had an accident and they had no explanation how that misalignment could have happened at the time of take in - since there were no scratches or any other signs. The answer to my request - calling the insurance company and taking the bumper issue up with them - was: It looks like I won't be able to fix the car the way you want it fixed (?????) so I am cancelling the work. Come and get your car (????). My co-worker who had been listening was just as shocked as me. I called the insurance company and explained what happened. They told me to keep the car there until a representative of Allstate cleared up what happened. I was on the conference call when Allstate called El Dorado asking them to cancel the claim as they said they wanted to. El Dorado was not able to cancel it on their end, neither was the claim person from Allstate (maybe because there was a hold and the Allstate adjuster wanted to know what was going on???) Got a text 9/1 from El Dorado telling me that the car was repaired and ready for pick up??????? Called Allstate - they told me that the claim was closed - the shop had repaired my car and I had ALREADY picked it up (based on their what they received from El Dorado). I was at work - using the rental car. I went to El Dorado after work to pick up my car. I was on the phone with the insurance company as I walked in. I had the employee there verify (talking to the agent) that they had been in possession of my car and that it was still in their lot and that it had not been repaired. Now I have to wait for this whole mess to be sorted out - since the car was never repaired. The employee at El Dorado actually told me that what happened was the insurance companies fault. So why did I get a text from El Dorado stating that my car was fixed and ready for pick up? I was told by El Dorado that they would talk to the IT person to figure that one out. (sure) All I know is that - the insurance company didn't contact me - El Dorado did. To be continued - Needless to say - I can not recommend this company. read more

This was one of the worst experiences I have had with a collision center. I was promised a vehicle wash once the repairs were done, went to pick up the vehicle and it was filthy, I did not take possession of the vehicle. Came back the next business day, and "Paul" was very rude and told me "go take it up with the insurance company, get off my lot". My former insurance company (State Farm (another joke) recommended this chop shop. Once I got the vehicle home, I noticed that they did not even match the paint on their repair, and the damage was noticeable under the paint in the sun light.
