Getting into an accident no matter how minor can be a stressful experience. Dent and Scratch Pro made the experience of fixing my car as stress free as possible. Because I park in the garage and seek end spaces when in parking lots to avoid door dings, my six-year-old red Tesla Model 3 looks new. Except for the scratch left by a misreant's car key. A car guy who's also ADHD, I hesitated go get it repaired fearing I'd be more upset by repeatedly noticing a paint mismatch than by the scratch. Still... After reading reviews, I visited four different collision repair shops, including Tesla's in Oceanside. None could assure me the paint would be a great match, just that they'd "try their best." I got some minor scratches and a small dent on my car and after looking through Yelp, I messaged Dent and Scratch Pro and Abraham responded super quickly telling me to come in for a quote. I ended up deciding on Dent and Scratch Pro because when I called, Abraham picked up immediately (whereas the other company I called didn't return my call). I brought my car in on a Saturday morning and got an estimate relatively quickly for about $2,700 (I can't remember the exact price). He said that it would take until Thursday or Friday. When Wednesday rolled around, I called to ask when it would be done and Abraham told me Friday. I told him that I was asking so I'd know if I'd have to extend the contract on my rental car (I would have to had return it by 10:30 AM). As a result, he said I could come at 9 instead. I appreciated his consideration for me and the fact that he expeditated the service so I could get my car back sooner. I got my car back looking good as new! It's as if it never happened. When I went to go pick it up and inspect it, Abraham saw that there was a dirt stain on the inside of my car and immediately went to go clean it up for me. I didn't even notice it. But when they resprayed the car, they left a run in the clear coat and left a bit of orange peel compared to the rest of the car. I actually commissioned another company (whose name I won't mention), but my car was transferred to "Dent and Scratch pro" for a cosmetic paint job. Since I had not commissioned them, and they now had my car, I went to their shop to speak to the manager (Abraham)! Not only was Abraham willing to spend time with me to answer questions and explain why they had my car, the owner (whose name I didn't commit to memory) spend quite a bit of his time talking with me about how it came to be that they had my car and confirmed the work that would be performed. To be honest, I was skeptical about "this other company" painting my car. After all, I didn't commission them! However, after spending about 30 minutes with the owner, I felt confident and relieved that they were doing the work! I'm not sure why this place has a perfect 5 star average, because my experience was pretty average. Abraham was very responsive with a great quote even over the weekend through the Yelp tool. I was impressed by the lifetime warranty. My car was finished a full day later than it was promised. This was my second car, so it didn't matter much to me, but if I was paying daily for a rental, I'd be pissed. The paintless dent removal was good. But the paint itself was not perfect even to my untrained eye. The area was rough before, so maybe the prep work was lacking. There was definitely some orange peel in the paint. There were also footprints on the door sills. I was selling my car, but they offered to re-do it if needed, presumably under the lifetime warranty. Coming to this shop was the biggest waste of time and hassle that I experienced in 2023, and with the exception of dealing with SDGE was probably the most pathetic attempt at customer service I've witnessed in years. My other half contacted the shop to get an estimate on her car and was told to come by at a certain time; this ended up being bogus as he didn't even bother to show up at the specified time or even leave instructions for the other "staff" on site. When we got to the shop we walked into an empty (and filthy) office and we wondered if we were even in the right place. After poking around the bowels of the shop we encountered the other staff and after some rather befuddling conversation one of them came out to take pictures of the car which we had already had submitted earlier via mobile and said we would receive a "quote" the next morning. About 72 hours later and still no quote to speak of. I don't know what sort of front these guys are running or how much they pay people for reviews but whatever is going on is certainly not legit. After my 2021 F150 got in a fight with a random pole on the side of the road, I jumped on yelp and started researching auto body shops. With my truck being almost brand new, I was not going to settle for any ol body shop. I wanted the best. Well.... After seeing all the great reviews Dent and Scratch Pro had earned, I decided to give them a try. It was 1am when I reached out to Abraham to request a quote, so figured I would hear from him first thing in the A.m. NOPE... I kid you not, No more than 5 minutes later he responded and started asking me questions regarding my truck and if I could come in later that morning to visually assess the repairs. After visiting the shop and speaking with Abraham in person, I felt confident enough in Abraham and his team and immediately notified my insurance company that this was the auto body shop I wanted my truck to have it's repairs done at. When I dropped my truck off late Thursday afternoon, I handed Abraham the keys, and he told me that I can expect my truck to be done the following Wednesday. They aren't open on weekends, so In 4 days they had to coordinate with my insurance company, find and order exact parts(which are a pain in the ass to get right now), fix and paint both passenger side doors, replace my passenger side mirror and have it tinted, and contact and schedule a 3M guy to come out and replace my door edge guard. There were a lot of different items Dent and Scratch Pro had to address, but I left confident and hopeful that I had chosen the right auto body shop for the job! And did I ever!!!! I received a call from Abraham late Tuesday evening to confirm that my truck would indeed be done by noon the next day(Wednesday). Just as Abraham had told me. Abraham even sent me pictures of the completed work Wednesday morning and told me to cruise in to get my truck at my earliest convenience. The truck looked great in the photos he sent me, but when I arrived I couldn't have been more happy with the work these guys did!! My truck looked brand new!! Top notch work from the Dent and Scratch Pro Team!! Abraham is the definition of customer service, and I cannot recommend or THANK him and his team enough!!
