Well, I feel like I'm just piling on given all the wonderful reviews already received by Spring Street Collision and Paint (SSCP) but it is deserved. By the way, this is a second review despite it showing it linked to a review a few years back. Different trucks and different work. Needed my 2008 GX470's OEM front bumper reinstalled after the truck had been fitted with a custom off-road high clearance version. SSCP ordered the needed parts as items such as front bumper brackets and fasteners were forever lost. They even fabricated (at no additional cost) two small attachment points as portions of the truck were cut during the off-road bumper install. Truck looks great, they communicated the few deviations from a completely stock fit, specifically that the fender liners, due to oversized tires, could not be installed all the way at this time and the cut liners remain. These can be replaced and fit to stock should I go back to stock size wheels and tires. Car was delivered! Car was cleaned / detailed! Both unexpected perks when I first chose to have them do the work. Price was very fair given the ask and I recommend this shop for your car repair needs. I just wanted to add another 5-Star review for "De Alba's Spring Street Collision & Paint." I needed the driver's door repaired/replaced, as well as a fist-sized dent repaired on a 2015 Nissan Juke. I checked with three local collision shops within the La Mesa area, and I subsequently went with Spring Street Collision & Paint. Firstly, I was already aware of their solid reputation just from word of mouth. I also thought their estimate was much lower than one company's and about the same as the other company's, give or take a couple hundred dollars. Also, since I was paying out-of-pocket, they worked with me a bit on the cost, which none of the other companies offered to do. One company's estimate, "Caliber Collision," gave me a written estimate that was literally **88%** higher than what De Alba's Spring Street Collision & Paint's written estimate was, and from what I can tell, for the same exact work. De Alba's Spring Street Collision & Paint is a family-owned business, and they really seem to care about their customers, which I'm sure earns them the well-deserved reputation that they have. The repairs turned out great..."Like It Didn't Even Happen." (Seriously!) When I arrived, I wasn't sure where the entrance was, so I called the location--and they answered immediately. The receptionist was very helpful and kind. I believe it was the owner who personally assisted me. I had a collision that damaged my fender and made it difficult--and very noisy--to open the driver's side door. While the damage might not have looked severe, the grinding noise was hard to ignore. To my surprise, the issue was resolved within minutes. I have nothing but positive feedback for this business. The job I had was small and unique. I needed to have the headliner dropped and then reinstalled due to some mounting nuts that had fallen thru. The Toyota dealership said it would cost at least $2,500 and really didn't even want to help. De Alba quoted be between $300-500. It ended up costing only $400. For me he knew right on the spot what was wrong with my car and instead of trying to charge me for service I didn't need (like other places do) they took care of me. I contacted Armando from Spring Street collision regarding our six month old Tesla model three. I explained that we had scratches all around the window trim. He suggested that I bring the car in for an evaluation and that possibly, the scratches could be gotten rid of with a compound. I was quite concerned, because I thought that the entire window trim would need to be replaced by Tesla and that would've cost thousands of dollars. Upon arrival, Armando took a look at the vehicle and stated that it would be very difficult to try to paint over the existing trim. He also informed us that he could not order the Tesla parts. Then, he suggested he try a bit of compound. The results were amazing! He worked on the vehicle for approximately 30 minutes and removed all of the scratches around the window trim. Our car looked new again!! I attempted to pay him for his service, but he refused. I tried again and he continued to refuse. This is one of those rare businesses that places customer satisfaction above making a profit. Should our car ever need additional repairs, we know where to go and will not hesitate to use him. Had a car pull out in front of me on my 1996 Dodge Ram. Smashed the front end in pretty good. Not enough to total it. So I used Yelp asking for a collision shop and ended up choosing this place. Seemed like a good choice with their reviews, response time amd willingness to take on a very old truck that two shops would not work on because of age or All-State insurance from the guy who pulled out in front of me. While they were fixing the truck, I asked them to install this new transmission line kit as mine were original and had already blown a leak one. They took on the job, and after several months of working on the car, they called me to come pick it up. They called again while I was en route to pick it up and explained that they should have test drove it because the transmission lines were leaking. Ok waited a week, and they said transmission that was new also leaked. I got a new one, dropped it off, and they called to say everything is ready. Drove there, and they were working g on the AC. It was not ready again. Came back the next day Saturday. Picked up the truck, drove it home, and the second radiator leaked. Radiator was not their issue. But they did not test drive it again. So I was too frustrated to bring it back to them and finished the radiator job myself. Then I thought I better check everything they did. Well today I find JB weld on one of the new fittings that was in the transmission line kit. Guess that's how they fixed the leak. I can't believe it. Two times I picked the truck up, and they had not test drove it. And JB weld to fix a leak. Maybe they should find another profession here. read more

After multiple years of on-and off-road bangs, dents, scratches, etc., I decided to finally have the necessary body work done to improve the look of my SUV. I first attempted going to a couple of chain body repair shops but was told the damage didn't warrant their services. Ok, fine. I finally looked into Spring Street Collision in La Mesa and was pleased with the reviews I found on both their website and Yelp. And when I went in to their shop - without an appointment, a plus for my schedule - I was immediately impressed with Armando, one of the owners. Armando was thorough in both his inspection of what I wanted done and his assessment of the cost to do it, both in terms of money and time. As the work to be done was time-consuming, I needed to rent a car while the work was being done. A rental agency was available nearby and his assistant, Gabby, was helpful in providing transportation to the agency, another plus. After the work was completed, I was pleased with the outcome that went far beyond my expectations. Further, Armando helped to make this project a reality in that he provided unexpected discounts for the work that was done. I was very satisfied with both the completed work on my SUV and with my interactions with Armando. He presented himself as professional, friendly, and helpful way beyond my expectations.
