There are certain companies I wish I could give 6 stars. Poway Valley Collision is one of them. A little background: I scratched the bumper on my new-to-me car. I'm very particular about keeping my cars in excellent condition, so I wanted professionals to handle the repair. From my first interaction, it was clear they understood that and treated my car with the same level of care. When I got the car back, it was exactly as I had dropped it off--no random marks or scuffs in the interior like I've unfortunately experienced with most dealerships and indy shops. They even went above and beyond by driving me to pick up a part that wouldn't fit in my car and then giving me a ride home after drop-off. When I picked up the car, I noticed a small scratch in the bumper. I expected the usual runaround or maybe a partial discount. Instead, they immediately took responsibility and are ordering a brand-new part and replacing it at no charge. Customer service like that is rare. I'll be taking every future auto body repair to Poway Valley Collision, and if you care about your car, I highly recommend them. I'll update again after everything is done. read more

Poway Valley Collision doesn't take responsibly for its own mistakes. In March 2025, I had my Honda Accord in to repair the front fender. It was repaired, but after getting the car back, I noticed that the door that was blended to the fender wasn't able to lock. After taking the car back to PVC, the manager Matt said he wasn't sure where to start diagnosing the issue, but he would be able to reimburse me if I have Poway Honda fix the issue. Honda said the cables for the door lock actuator were incorrectly connected and charged me $460 to fix the issue. The invoice noted that the problem was caused by the preceding body shop work. I brought this back to Matt, which started a weeks long process of them trying to contact Honda themselves, sitting on the decision, and giving no clear timeline of when it would be resolved. Eventually they decided to reimburse only half of the $460 invoice because they "hadn't done any work on the door", even though it was blended and the lock door lock was working before their work and not working afterward. I was seriously disappointed in their failure to own up to their own mistakes. Was quoted a 1 week turnaround that ended up being week and a half. Communication was very poor until I complained about not getting any notifications on what was going on. Repair work was done well. Received the car with a drained battery, I had no issue with the battery upon giving the car to be serviced. They took no responsibility and said I was just due for a new battery and to just drive the car around to charge the battery. Would give 1 star but repair work was done well. read more

Required minor body repair to rear bumper with alignment to side panel. Fair quote given and a time frame for completion was 2-3 days. I was initially disappointed in the communication of this shop once the repair surpassed 3 days. My initial 2 calls were not returned once the initial 3 day repair time frame was surpassed. The 3 rd call was returned. I was also disappointed in the alignment between the bumper and side panel, which is not flush to each other. My car repair was not available to me for 7 days. read more

We were run into on Fwy and all on dash cam so not our fault. They had good insurance so our insurance promised us we would not need to pay deductible. They would not release our truck to us without us paying the deductible and would not refund it. They claimed our insurance company owed them more but never submitted a revision to the agent. Second time visiting Poway Valley Collision, and if you have to have work done on your car, this is the place. Stopped by to get a bid for some scratches due to a garage door closing on the trunk of the car. Jimmy walked out to the car with me to take a look. He walked me through how much it would take to sand and repaint, but said he didn't think that was necessary. Because he thought he could fix it right there. Whaaat? He put some sort of magic liquid on it, it almost disappeared. Put a compound on it, buffed it a little more and you'd have to get a microscope out to be able to see the scratches. These guys have had my car for 2 months, for damage I did backing out of a parking space into a light fixture. I was told the work would take a few weeks and no one ever called to keep me updated. I had to track down the information every time. When I went to them after 30 days to tell them my rental coverage was up, they said they were waiting for parts that they didn't know they needed from the beginning. Why did it take a month to determine what parts were needed to complete this job! Matt has told me several times that he will try to have it done or that it should be done by a certain date only to change it again once the day comes. I'm a single mom taking care of 3 kids with one vehicle and have had to rent a car off and on for a month to get to work and drive me kids to school. Matt refuses to help me get a rental because he says he hasn't done anything wrong. This is not taking care of the customer at all. I have never been run around so badly by a company ever and no offer of assistance at all!! read more

Terrible experience!!! They took 3 weeks to fix my car after telling me it will only take 1. I obviously showed up upset and Instead of receiving any sort of customer service or an apology, I got one of their employees Jim gets in my face like he was going to fight me then had another lady threaten to call the cops on me because I was "scaring her", after a bunch of empty threats no cops showed up and they finally let me pay and gave me my car, avoid this place like the plague!! So, we just got our car back from Poway Honda, and they said whoever reassembled this door after painting it, broke the Door Lock Actuator and its associated wiring They replaced it for us, and now the car is functioning as intended, no erratic behavior of the alarm and door locks. Someone sideswiped my car and didn't leave a note, so I was recommended to take my car here per my insurance company. Got my estimate with Jim. Then I called back the next day to confirm how long it would take to get the job done. Didn't catch a name, but that guy that I spoke to was not friendly. Was told it would be roughly 2 weeks. So I asked if it was possible if I paid my deductible first and have them preorder the parts and once it comes in I'll drop it off to avoid having to rent a car for 2 whole weeks. I was told they stopped preordering parts. He said Jim (the manager) will give me a call back on whether or not they'll preorder; Jim never called back. It's absurd to think that my car needs to sit in the shop for the duration of the time it's not being worked on. Side note- A rep did follow up but she couldn't answer my question, so I still don't know if preordering was an option, so I ended up going with another collision repair place. read more

My son's vehicle was involved in a non-travel related accident. I chose PVC as my repair shop to fix a damaged passenger door. Over the years. I have used PVC for other collision repair work. I would highly recommend them to anyone that has that need. My experience has been that their estimates are not questioned by the insurance company. They gave me a reasonable timeline for repairing the door and provided me, via email, with almost daily updates on the status of the repair and when I could expect delivery. The front office staff was friendly and very pleasant and cooperative. The completed work was excellent. I could not see any evidence of it even being repaired, particularly the paint job which was flawless. Again, my highest recommendation for their work. read more

Their insurance sent me to a place on Miramar road where I was given a hard sell job to leave my car with them for the work. I chose not to stay there and instead called the insurance company and said I was going to Poway Valley Collision. I had heard a friend say how satisfied they were with the work there. From my call to Amanda to when I got there and Mary immediately helped me. Within minutes they were working on the estimate and calling the person's insurance helping set me up with a rental car. First of all, have you even been to an auto repair shop that was super clean and nice inside? If not you will be amazed by this place. But more importantly, they did a fantastic job fixing our truck. They kept us updated on the repairs AND their communication with our insurance the whole time. They made sure all of the parts that we wanted were used in the repair and the vehicle came back better than new! All around fantastic experience, quality work, and top notch customer service. I have worked with Poway Valley Collision on two jobs. Initially, the work was good and less than 1 and 1/2 years the paint job started to fade. wash away and as it it did it became clear the new paint applied was not the same color match as the rest of the car. They claim to warranty their work and could not in my case because they got a new computer system and could not find any evidence in their computer that they did the work. The crazy thing is the people did remember me when i came in. Go figure. I also want to reinforce some of the other comments, many of the phone people are rude and would rather not be bothered by customers. I recommend you grant them their request. read more

Not too happy about this place at all. Girlfriend crashed her car into a telephone poll and we got her car towed to this place to see how much it would be to fix it. Now I knew the damage was greater than the bluebook of the vehicle. So it would have been salvaged but since it was an older car and she was only one involved in accident (at fault) it didn't have comprehensive coverage therefore we would have been paying out of pocket to fix it. Of course there was some other reasons I won't go into as to why we would even consider paying more than the car is worth to get it fixed but if we want to do that give us a quote and let us decide. But no the people here simply said it's not worth it to fix it. You have 4 days to get it off our property or we will start charging you storage fees. I tried to explain to them I knew the damages exceeded the bluebook but we were still interested in a quote they told me we are not giving you a quote the car is done please get it off our lot as soon as possible. Now the car had front end damage broken windshield air bags deployed but the engine still ran after we got it towed off their lot and to my friends place we turned the engine on and actually parked it. So the car is done? According to them but still runs? Just seems like they were too lazy to even look at the car for us. read more

I wish I can give more stars to this place. From the time I came to drop off my car, I was treated so amazing. They were so nice, honest and always on top of things. Everyday almost, they called me with an update about my car repair. They gave me a target date (because I told them I was leaving town on the 25th for two weeks), they said they would try and treat my car as priority. The car came back fixed a week before my target day. They asked me if everything was okay and even made sure my car was clean and done at pick up. Complete time wasters . Took my BMW to get a paint job did the quote . Had me wait for a month they said they would work on it . Then last minute cancelled the job . Told me it will take 8 months for a paint job . I think they didn't want to accept the job because it's out of their league and couldn't handle the task . After being involved in a car crash (other driver tried to pass me as I was making a legal left turn into my apartment complex on a lightly traveled residential street in broad daylight), AAA directed me to Poway Collision Center for repairs on my Tahoe. Initially, Jimmy (PCC manager) and his staff were welcoming and professional. Once it was determined to 'total' out my vehicle, and I didn't agree, the interactions with PCC deteriorated immediately! I should of looked and read the reviews for this auto body shop before taking it there. this was wawanesa's preferred shop so I figured what the heck it's close by, why not. I did not know however that they influence the insurance company by telling them that my not at fault is actually my fault according to some measurement they take and comments they make. I was parked at the Del Mar horse park I guess they don't take into account trailers. It looks like someone with a trailer backed into my corner bumper. When I heard this from the adjuster of course I was upset and according to the very sensitive ears lady manager I was yelling at her, she hung up on me! the car was already dismantled bumper and headlights, I composed myself called back and apologized and asked her what my alternatives were, she then proceeded to tell me I had to pay $175.00 dollars for the bumper dismantling, I was planing on leaving the vehicle, but she told me to pick it up, she did not want to deal with me because I yelled at her! I guess my apology was not good enough for her... I feel the manager handled my issue very unprofessional by being so insensitive and taking things so personal.
