Carnitas tacos and in the back, a po boys sandwich.
    Cindy M.

Cute place in a cute coastal town. Service was decent. They were nice. Plenty of seating inside and outside. The place was bright and welcoming. I enjoyed the caritas tacos a lot. My husband got a po boys sandwich. He wished it had more mayo but said it still tasted good. My kid got a grilled cheese sandwich (not pictured). We tried the kid's sandwich and it was one of the best sandwiches we've had in a while.

Summer omelette & Brio Classic with bacon

We loved Cafe Brio as our morning stop before heading up to the redwoods for hiking. Their coffee was better than other spots we had gone to mornings prior, and we enjoyed the brio classic with bacon on croissant & the summer omelette. We opted to sit outside and were entertained by some of the other customer's dogs on the patio and we got to enjoy the cool weather. This is a casual place where you can go up to order your food at the cashier, grab a number, and they'll call your name to grab your food and coffee. The cafe is in a great location of the Arcata plaza square, so we were able to walk by some of the nearby shops. This is a great location if you're looking for some casual breakfast food in the area. They also had an amazing display of pastries and desserts that I wish we would've gotten to try.

Mimosas, Brio Benedict, Herb and cheese omelet

I came with my friend on a weekend for brunch. I've heard great things about this place and have been wanting to try for a while! You order at the front desk and then get a number, which I wasn't expecting. Nonetheless the service was relatively fast. The interior was very cozy and I loved seeing all the pastries on display. I got the brio Benedict and my friend got the herb and cheese omelet. We also got mimosas to truly celebrate brunch. I love benedicts and this one didn't disappoint - the hollandaise sauce was delicious and the eggs were poached well! The mimosa was good, though I did think that $11 was pricey given the size and the fact that another cafe across the street had $4 mimosas for brunch. Overall, we had a great experience and will definitely return to try the sticky bun!

    Lattes

Stopped in after strolling around the farmers market on the square. It was rainy and chilly and we needed a cup of coffee. I looked across the street and saw that this place was packed. Figured it must be good. Cute little place with quite a bit of room. We placed our order of two lattes which came out quickly even though they were very busy. We found a seat after the very pleasant helpful staff took our order and as mentioned our named was called quickly. The coffee was more than. Just an average cup of coffee. Maybe we were cold and craving a cup of coffee but regardless it was a very good latte.

Fantastic cases bulging with so many delicious sweet and savory treats - wonderful friendly servers and sparkling environment We hit the motherlode Their sourdough bread loaves and little lady bug loaves are simply outstanding - we first bought them at Murphy's grocery store in Trinidad I sliced the loaves - melted 2 tablespoons of butter in a pan and pan fried each slice into toast - carmelizing the butter nice and brown and crispy on one side - soft and chewy on the other side - just like we do when we are camping Nice job Brio !!!!

I have been to Cafe Brio a number of times over the years and this place never disappoints. The cookies are always the best! Love their chocolate chip cookie and tea cookies. This time I tried their mushroom and chevre cheese savory pastry warmed up and it was excellent. Mom got the breakfast sandwich and it also did not disappoint. This place is perfect any day of the week but especially on a nice sunny day for people watching. Until next time!

Got a cheesecake recently for Easter and the whole family went crazy for it! We had to fight each other for the last crumbs All the staff are very friendly and we were helped right away. I ordered a chai latte before leaving and wished I go the large! The cafe is very cozy and cute inside, with lovely outside seating for the sunny days. It's been awhile since I've been able to swing by here since moving. I miss it!!

I enjoyed my brief visit to Arcata and Cafe Brio is perfectly in down town across from picturesque town square. I visited around 12:30 and it was already fairly crowded with their outdoor seating area but there was more seating inside. They have a wonderful bakery section on display and there's also a coffee bar station as well. They were very busy - and you could tell this place is popular. The simple decor of the place is relaxing. I had the wonderful Classic Brio and choose a croissant with eggs and ham - it was delicious. Bathrooms were clean and spacious.

    16 oz. Coffee for here

Great location in the heart of Arcata. Lots of beautiful pastries. When I first arrived I had to wipe my table off since it was covered in crumbs which wasn't great but no big deal. When I ordered my standard drip coffee "for Here" I found myself waiting a while until I realized that a customer behind me got her regular coffee right in that moment from the same cashier. So, I asked if I could get mine as well but she gave a lot of attitude which was pretty unnecessary. I used to be a barista for several years... you should always give the folks who order a regular cup of coffee, their coffee right then and there. Great food, nice music, lots of seating but I think the barista needed more training & experience and the customer service could be better.

Only place open in the beautiful downtown Arcata district on Sunday afternoon, where you can get the best Craft Beer and openly warm welcome from the professional staffs, who can make one of the better breakfast dishes is now our favorite restaurant to go to! The place is a walking distance from the Humboldt College and is a beautiful place to hang out to eat and drink as well as watching numerous homeless and drugged lost souls hanging around the downtown square! It's too bad that the area has so many people there sifting through the garbage cans, strung out on drugs and frequent this nice little restaurant to come in for the bathroom and free water. I like the food they served and the craft beer was nice, but homeless and drug users are so rampant and numerous, I don't think I will be going back.

Great meal choices for everyone that was in our group. Located near the University, gets a good mix of young and older clientele. We sat in the back garden where there are a number of picnic style wooden tables, most with umbrellas for shade. The garden is decorated with lovely plants and flowers and makes the space that much more pleasant. Dogs are welcome here. Our drinks came put first and the food did not take too long to follow. I ordered a breakfast burrito which easily shared with another person. The particularly liked that the burrito was not soggy and maintained its structure while I ate it. Everything that came out to the table was very well put together and nicely presented. The dishes and cups used were also uniquely picked. I ordered a chai latte and it was perfect, not too spicy. I'd definitely go back here again.
