Stumbled into a coffee shop in Trinidad on our way to the Redwoods and it ended up being the best stop in town. From the moment we walked in, everyone was friendly and welcoming. I'm a bit of a coffee snob, so l asked about the beans - they actually brought the bag over and walked me through it. I got an Americano and it was excellent. My wife ordered the Honey Town Latte and loved it because it wasn't overly sweet. Then the food came - I had the ham and cheese croissant and it blew me away. Tangy honey mustard, a bit of pickled onion, melted cheese, and a poached egg on a fresh, toasted croissant. So much flavor. Came to Trinidad for a quick weekend getaway and found this place while exploring the town. It was perfect because we were just looking for a quick coffee and maybe an afternoon snack. First visit, we had the cafe miel and cheesy Toastie. I never thought I would enjoy honey in my coffee and I'm not even a coffee drinker but this would make me convert. It was perfectly balanced. The Toastie was a simple but tasty snack. I was almost tempted to order another one. I had to go back the next day to have breakfast and try their Cup of Sunshine. Another unique yummy drink if you like chamomile tea with frothy milk/cinnamon on top. I also ordered: Carrot cake muffin - moist and had blueberries on top. Eggy bagel - open faced bagel. Forgot to take a picture before I dove right in. Poached eggs were perfectly cooked, yolk perfectly runny. Puppaccino - my dog gave it a 25/10 (they have a pup menu under Classics! It's small so don't miss it!). Place is kept really nice and clean. Portable speaker placed inside a potted plant - super cute and funny. Love their music choice, chill vibes and I think it keeps the plant happy because it's green and a decent size! Service was super friendly. What an awesome local cafe and coffee shop. The entryway is small so the line to order goes out the door. There are both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The outdoor dining area is a beautiful patio perfect for enjoying the coastal California weather. The HOT COCOA was good. The HONEY MATCHA LATTE was delicious. The CORTADO was just strong. The HOT LATTE is good. The CHOCOLATE CROISSANT is also good. The MOONSTONE ACAI BOWL took a longer to make, Most of us were done with our drinks and were ready to go before we got the bowl. If I lived around here, I would be at this place all the time. This is exactly the sort of food that I am always looking for, especially things like this Power bowl. It has a good variety of different types of food in it and is very tasty. My daughter enjoyed her pesto sandwich, I think I might be misnaming that one slightly. The double espresso was reasonably priced with a strong, complex start and smooth fade. The service was friendly and helpful. You order at the counter, they give you a number, and then bring you your food. There are water and silverware stations inside and outside. I wish I could give this place more stars. The indoor/outdoor seating options, the local artwork, the coffee, the food, the service, everything was so perfect. I highly recommend coming here if you are ever in the area to stay or just to drive through. My mom was a fan of this place and I am so happy she bought me. The coffee was great, but lets get into the food. They had so many Gluten free options and they are all some of the best GF things I have ever had. This place was a great place for an early morning coffee before our hike! We were provided with great service by Casey! He was helpful in suggestions for a bite to eat, which looked delicious and tested even better! They do try to incorporate and support local businesses which was something great to see! It was kinda of a blustery day and a nice calming atmosphere to enjoy a cup of joe before heading out. Long line on a Saturday, wait wasn't too bad. They brought the food out to us. Nice big outdoor seating area. The highlight for me was the focaccia bread on the sandwiches which was really good and super fresh. I loved the pesto melt sandwiches. One of us added turkey and the other added smoked tuna. We also got an extra side of greens to add more of them to the sandwich. It was supreme, really good but a definitely little pricey, as is everywhere you eat out in that area. I originally stopped here as part of a long costal dog friendly road trip because I saw the reviews and pics about how dog friendly they were. When I got there it was exactly as described. Large outside seating area, doggie menu, dog friendly etc. However my little guy (85 lb doberman) just wasn't feeling it that morning and wanted some solitude so I grabbed a chai and a bean bowl to go and we walked down the block to some super picturesque public benches and ate the delicious food overlooking Trinidad coast. The service at beachcomber was perfect, and the menu was wonderful with something for everyone. I would have liked to have stayed for a dine in, but what the dog wants the dog gets. The staff was super kind and patient (especially when it seemed busier for Mother's day) the espresso shots were smooth, and the texture of steamed milk on our lattes was, honestly, perfectly crafted. We enjoyed our food as well and found it surprisingly fair priced- comparable to most other coffee i've had in Northern California. The next time i'm close to Trinidad, I will definitely be back! Excellent lunch, still thinking about it, was so good. We split the Vegan sandwich and the Fakin' it BLT on delicious gluten-free bread, SO good.
