Charcuterie, board with your meal, goat cheese and locally sourced ingredients, fig pate, mustard very amazing

Food is so Dam Good! We spent 4 days traveling northern CA-THE BEST food our entire journey. The gorgonzola sauce on top of the steak with truffle butter was amazing! Yes, the salad with balsamic and bell peppers was really delicious. Nice surprise, charcuterie board with meal -beautiful presentation and it featured goat cheese from the local farm fantastic Figs, apples, pate, and mustard sauce, pumpernickel bread. Ambience is Smooth jazz and low lighting. If you're fine with the colder temps sit outdoors with warming heaters. Definitely a romantic evening with significant other. Jazmine our server did a great job-she worked hard. Be patient and tip well. This is a busy restaurant. THE only exemplary food we found in Trinidad! The area needs more places like this!!!! It is reservation only/smart to reserve your dinner the night before in order to get the time slot you want. I loved the experience and highly recommend dining here

What a fun experience! I can't wait to go back and catch them earlier! The ambiance is fabulous and very unique. Great place to sit and enjoy your company and the amazing food. Augustine was our wonderful server for the evening and he does a fabulous job. He's great at his job very knowledgeable and has a great smile. We felt right at home. Let's talk food - Appetizer board - wonderful flavors and "it's meant to be playful" loved the description of how to combine the items. Get the explanation of the food so you know what you are eating and where it came from! Yummy Half n Half - wow the meat is amazing and yes the brisket is a little spicy so be warned! The salad that comes with the meal is fun and perfect. Fish of the day - we went with steelhead and changed the bed to risotto. Can't go wrong the flavors were on point and everything was perfectly cooked. Vanilla crème brûlée- wow the top was amazing and crunch and the flavor was perfect including the texture. Signature desert- I don't remember the name but might have been a little too smoky for me. I like the textures and it was so cute how it was served. Lemon tart? The bomb! So worth it!! Oh and the music - I say on the bench and put on my shoes and thought someone might be inside playing a piano. Walked in and the sounds were filling the building and added that perfect swanky calming comfortableness to complete the evening. All in all I say a 10 and I'm hard on things! Okay so I didn't like the wine I picked but that's my fault no one else's! I should have asked to taste it before committing. It would be a great spot for a party!!

This is an excellent spot for a nice, classy dinner up in Trinidad! From the presentation to the flavors, you can tell they put a lot into creating a great dining experience here. I have dined on the picturesque outdoor patio, as well as the upstairs dining area. Meals include the appetizer board of cheeses, fruits, dips, and bread. The coconut shrimp (a special appetizer) was crispy and flavorful. I loved the chicken cordon bleu as well -- the sauce was creamy and the chicken was perfectly cooked and tender. For dessert this time we ordered the lemon tart pie as recommended by our server, and it was delicious -- a better cousin of key lime pie in my opinion. Service was great! I definitely hope to be back in the future.

We went here recently and everything about it was incredible. The lighting was soft and low, just the right kind of ambiance that feels romantic but still comfortable enough for a nice family dinner. The service was on point. There were plenty of servers, and they were consistent and attentive without hovering. Everything ran like clockwork. We started with the carpaccio and the coconut prawns, and wow, you will not find a better coconut prawn anywhere. The batter was crispy, flavorful, and perfectly balanced. For the main course, I had the ribs and brisket. The brisket was absolutely to die for, melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The ribs had a beer-battered flavor that wasn't my personal favorite, but if you're a fan of beer batter, you'd be obsessed. My fiancé ordered the steelhead, and it was cooked to absolute perfection, tender, flaky, and seasoned beautifully. From start to finish, the experience didn't miss a beat. Highly recommend for date night, family dinner, or anyone who just wants a great meal with great vibes.

I was so excited that this place has a vegan option that is not curry. It is a family favorite and I ant wait for us all to go back.

We visited Larrupin a couple of weeks ago. I had been there numerous times over the years but my husband had been once long ago and didn't remember being there. Absolutely everything was perfect. We ordered a couple of grilled small Pacific oysters to start, which came with a tiny bowl of Larrupin sauce. The oysters were only slightly warmed and not really cooked - the briny flavor came through. The appetizer tray that comes with all dinners included house-baked rye bread, chicken liver pate with Larrupin mustard, tiny lightly pickled peppers, apple slices, two kinds of cheese, smoked salmon - I may be forgetting something. We both said we should really take some photos but we dug in too fast. There was an appetizer special of coconut prawns which they turned into a main course at our request. Those were not frozen-out-of-the-box prawns, but extra-large fat hand-breaded prawns. I've never been crazy about coconut prawns - it seems wrong to have sweet coconut coating seafood - but this was the best version I've ever had. We also had cordon bleu - chicken breast stuffed with prosciutto and Havarti cheese and topped with a marsala-mushroom sauce. I am a clean-plate ranger but that was the largest portion of chicken breast I've ever been served. The chicken was moist and tender. My husband had the sweet potato and I had the coconut-macadamia rice. He said the sweet potato was creamy and luscious; the rice went beautifully with the chicken. We also had a glass of Onward Sparkling Malvasia Petillant Naturel and a glass of Ferrari Carrano Fume Blanc, excellent wines both. It was my husband's birthday and he was given coeur de la creme with raspberry sauce on the house. I had the same. A very nice not-too-sweet ending. All around the meal, service, and atmosphere was outstanding.

My partner and I visited on a weekend afternoon for an early dinner. The ambiance and vibes were very dark yet super eclectic - there was always a piece of decor for us to talk about. We ordered the oysters as an app, half and half (brisket and ribs) and New York strip loin, and limoncello tart for dessert. The oysters were super tasty and fresh especially with a squeeze of lemon and dollop of cocktail sauce. The brisket was super tender and delicious (I also really liked the burnt ends) and the rib meat legit fell off the bone. The NY strip loin was super yummy especially with the gorgonzola and mushrooms on top. The limoncello tart was very tart (duh) but really helped to cut the heaviness of all the red meat we had. Our waiter Garret was super nice, gave us great food recommendations, and made our experience enjoyable! We'll definitely be back next time we're around!

    Complimentary cheese board

My partner and I came here for our 2 year anniversary! Our friends have raved about this being the perfect date spot. You get a complimentary cheese/bread board with your dinner which was so good and allowed us both to try something new like chicken liver pate. They had fresh local oysters which we each had one, but cooked because we don't like them raw (lol) and they were so good! I am familiar with their local Larrupin sauce which was paired with multiple dishes here and is super good as well, especially on a salad. We had a garlic appetizer that was too fancy for us to pronounce the full name of, but came with bread, cheese, olives, and pecans and was also good of course. I had the lemon dill steelhead salmon with asparagus and salad. My partner had the half and half brisket and ribs combo with a twice baked potato and salad as well. Both of our dishes were delicious, we could not eat it all. The salad was fresh and our proteins were cooked to perfection. For desert I had a lemon cheesecake and my partner had a goat cream cheese situation with raspberry drizzle in the shape of a heart! Our server gave us this one on the house since it was our anniversary! Both deserts were delicious but I preferred my lemon dessert more (: I would recommend this to anyone as they weren't too pricey but definitely a great spot for anyone traveling through or wanting a nice date. Service was wonderful as well and our server was the typical Humboldt vibe we know and love.

Delicious food, great service, generous portions and wonderful gem of a cafe here on the coast. Love it!! I forgot to take picture of oysters and carpaccio appetizers. Booo. Only down side is no cell service and that stink when game 7 of World Series is being played while you are there. Lol I love that all the meals come with a charcuterie tray too

So yummy! My girlfriend and I went here for our anniversary and it was so lovely! Cannot recommend the chicken wrapped in phyllo dough enough! Service was great, and prices made sense for the quality of the food ($150 for all) . Only critique I have is that it's a bit awkward when you first walk in since the waiting area is so small.

Good, beets were a bit over done for my taste but the buratta with the pistachios was very good. We tried the clam chowder and were not disappointed. This is what chowder should be, velvety and rich. You could taste the clams which were tender and sweet. Exceptional chowder! We ordered the crab fondue and were not disappointed! Creamy crabby deliciousness! My only critique would be the bread could have been more bite sized but I just cut mine and enjoyed every bite. Partner had fish and chips. Good. Rockfish was fresh and tasty. Tartar sauce was ok, I prefer mine a bit herbier. We also had Fettuccine with chicken and Alfredo. Chicken was seasoned well and cooked perfect, still juicy and tender. Alfredo was very good. Fresh fettucini was not so fresh, that was the only real disappointment of the meal. If the menu says fresh pasta my expectations are high and this was not fresh. It may have been made in house but not today. I wanted the scallops but they were out, owner said they are on him next time... I would come back either way. This is fine dining but not stuffy and over done. The prices are what I expect at a restaurant if this caliber and the service and food met that standard. I am excited to return and try the rest of the menu!

The hostess/waitress/bartender seated us at a beautiful table with an ocean view, which we truly appreciated. She was very kind and welcoming. The food was okay overall. My ravioli was salty due to the amount of capers, but still ok. However, I was very disappointed with our takeout dessert. We ordered crème brûlée to go, and it was packed in small boxes that we didn't open right away. When we arrived at our Airbnb just 8 minutes later, we discovered it was not properly placed in a sealed container (like an aluminum one, as expected). Instead, it was sitting directly inside the box, which was unhygienic and unacceptable. Unfortunately, we had to throw it away. I hope the restaurant takes more care in the future when packaging food to go. This detail really matters and impacts the overall experience.

I found this restauraunt on Yelp and we reserved it for my birthday dinner on a Saturday night. We sat by the window and had a beautiful view of the sunset and bay. Upon being seated we were served some bread with some whipped butter mixed with some sort of seafood I believed? I forgot, but the butter was delicious. Our first round of bread however, was average at best and was very dense and doughy. The next rounds of bread were significantly better though, so maybe there's an inconsistency with the way they bake their bread in-house. I ordered the seafood penne pasta and my boyfriend ordered the king salmon with risotto. Both were "specials" and were not on the menu. However after digging into reviews here, it seems they are not so much specials since both dishes have been served here for the past 7ish years. Seafood penne pasta: I would rate a 3/5, maybe a 2.5/5. The pasta itself was not al dente which was disappointing. The "star" of this dish was supposed to be the scallop, which was severely undercooked! It was super soft and mushy. The shrimp was alright...some were overcooked. The salmon was also dry. I think the only thing I really enjoyed was the mussels, clams, and the sauce. The sauce had some curry with a small kick to it. This dish was just okay. Escargot: We ordered as our appetizer, I'd give it a 3.5/5! The escargot was a little soft but paired wonderfully with the bread. Creme brûlée: 3/5. Our waitress kindly put a birthday candle on it for my birthday. :) I enjoyed it, and it was very custardy! The downside was that the sugar on top was too burnt. I can't speak much for my boyfriend's dish, I did have a bite of his salmon and it was alright, maybe a bit too salty. The service however was wonderful and our waitress was super kind and helpful. Maybe I would come back to try another dish if I'm back in the area.
