For my work trip I get to go to Eureka for 2 weeks. I came here 3 times during that two weeks! Service was fast and friendly. You order at the counter and then sit where you want. If you're ordering charcuterie board you fill out a sheet of what you want. Charcuterie board was fun I tried a lot of combo. However - they kept on not having the thing w the fig which is kinda sad but oh well. I've been into charcuterie lately because of the board game lol I tried so many of their oysters but I don't remember the flavor. I just ask for chef choice each time. The first time I got the spicy combo of oysters which can be a tad too intense - so fair warning. Then other time I got the baked oyster which is literally so good. I think the peach and nou nou are my favorite. I stumbled upon Humboldt Bay Provisions while I was out walking my dog by the bay. What an incredible local gem! The oysters are farmed locally and staff work both the farm and the restaurant. I had their fresh off the boat oysters and ceviche, which was also fresh off a local fisherman's boat. The wine and beer lists are small, but well thought out. What a great find while I was exploring the Redwoods parks! These oysters are as fresh as they can get with them being brought in straight from the harbor within walking distance. In fact, the restaurant owner himself is the one bringing these goodies in as one of the staffs shared as we chatted. Only tried the oysters here -- raw and broiled -- and both were delicious! We did the chef's choice for raw to get a taste of various flavors (gave them the ok for spicy) and they were great! The 3 we tried; Habanero Jelly, Spinach & Cucumber Mignonette, and Humboldt Hot Sauce. And because we love pesto, we went for half a dozen of the Pesto Broiled Oysters and they were so good. If you also purchase a drink, they'll give you a free oyster if your choice as well! A great deal if you ask me. These oysters were also great value ($14-16 per half dozen)! And they have Happy Hour deals on Tues and Thurs. All in all, lovely spot with very down to earth servers where we got to learn more about the restaurant and also ask for other spots to try out in the area (in which we went and it was indeed delicious). Lots of seating with a woodsy interior made the space feel cozy as the sunset lighting peeked through the windows. There was only 1 type of oyster but there are a number of sauces that you can choose from for the order. Typically 1 for each order. The restaurant was one of the few open on Sunday afternoon after 3 p.m. We initially looked for an open restaurant at nearby McKinleyville and Arcata but found nothing. We drove to the historical Eureka and walked down to the Humboldt Bay where we found two oyster serving restaurants open on Sunday afternoon! This place had really great Yelp reviews and high ratings so we tried out. First of all the restaurant had a long wooden canoe style boat parked outside for the aesthetics. The corner spot for the restaurant in the beautiful section of downtown with several large windows, high ceiling and open concept makes the vibe rich with oceanic vastness. The east wall was adorned with local wine bottles and touristic gift items and south wall was adorned with three large posters, one of which tells about the owner of the place. The restaurant has multiple high wooden tables and few low ones with lower chairs comfortable to sit and have raw oysters at your chest high level! The center piece is a huge bar with high chairs to sit and watch a tiny open kitchen where two young dudes were busily making the absolutely best oysters with unique blends of exceptional sauces made with local ingredients borrowed from other restaurants nearby. I tried raw oysters with habanero sauce and plain horseradish that was hot, biting as it should. The oysters were perfectly served with absolutely intoxicating flavors that was fresh, memorable and full of juice that can only come from expert shucking techniques to preserve everything. The dozen grilled oysters with four distinct sauces recommended by the bartender/chef/cook/server were simply awesome. The beer was served chilled in large cold pint glass and chips with salsa and dates wrapped in prosciutto wrapped pitted sweet dates were good. Overall five solid stars for locally produced farm to table offerings but mostly the one of the best locally procured natural oysters with simply the best taste with unique original sauces make this restaurant a must Mukbang's favorite! I give Five Stars and my Mukbang rating of big two thumbs ! To my few Mukbang friends: Do not hesitate, drive down here fast because you never had oysters this great! read more

The service here was great and attentive. The oysters were fresh, briney and meaty! We tried the traditional mignonette, plum mignonette, aguachile, and cocktail sauce for the raw oysters. I highly suggest the aguachile! So fresh, citrusy and a bit of spice. The broiled selections we left up to our waiter to choose. He gave us butter, Larrupin, jerk, Humboldt hot sauce and ginger wasabi. The ginger wasabi and laruppin were the best of these with the traditional butter a close third. It was a chill environment with great big windows to people watch, great beer and wine selection and great tunes. Great stop if you are in eureka and craving some fresh oysters. They also have a selection of charcuterie items and a "build your own option".
