Wine and Paco's tacos every Thursday!

Excellent service, tasteful wine and great ambiance. Indoor and outdoor seating. Plus, tacos every Thursday!

    Petite Sirah

I met Jim while eating dinner at Shamus T Bones, he bought me a glass of his Petite Sirah, it was delicious and very kind of him when he saw me looking at the wine menu. I bought a bottle to bring back to my room. Never mind the amazing fresh pasta I had a Shamus T Bones.... I picked the right place to be tonight ! Thanks Jim.

What a fun little stop during our vacation. Nice wines and excellent service. We left with a few bottles, including one for a friend.

Very friendly service, great wine, and our house also gave us some great hiking tips in the area. Will definitely return.

Let me tell you all a story about the most perfect cup of coffee I've ever had…read more It was fall 2002 if my memory serves me. My band was on tour on the East Coast. We had just played the previous night in Atlantic City making our way back to Worcester Massachusetts. It was an overcast morning traveling on the New Jersey Turnpike. Now, what most people living on the West Coast dont know is that all over New England are toll roads. And being that every time you exit you have to pay a toll, they've set up these convenient highway oases (oasises?) that you can enter from either direction without paying to exit the road. These usually consist of a large gas station, one for each direction of traffic exiting and a bunch of fast food and mini-marts all under one roof. KInd of like if a truck stop and a shopping mall food court had a baby. Since it was morning we went for the Burger King but to our disappointment this wasnt an actual Burger King. It was a truck stop express BK with premade food under a lamp with no employees. Being that it was nearly 11:30am. There were only a couple stale breakfast sandwiches left. So we turned around and saw a Dunkin Donuts. Being from the San Francisco bay area, we'd never really experienced Dunkin Donuts or knew what it had to offer. I ordered a maple old fashioned donut and some kind of breakfast sandwich I think... and a coffee. The nice lady working there asked if I wanted cream and sugar. I said yes expecting to get a couple packets of sugar and maybe a powdered creamer packet, but to my surprise she just handed me a lidded to-go cup of coffee. I asked about the accoutrements and she just nodded and said "its in there" In my head I was like "WHAaaaaatt?!!!!!!!!!!!" How do they know how I like it? I'm very particular about my cream and sugar levels... she never asked me. I was VERY sceptical. Then... I took a sip. Temperature, perfect. Coffee flavor, perfect. Cream level, perfect. Sugar level, PERFECT. OH MY GOD. I couldn't believe it how did she do this? I made sure to tell the woman how perfect it was. I was very excited and probably freaked her out a little. People can be a little more surly in the Garden State. I will never forget that cup of coffee. I've had coffee from Dunkin Donuts since but it was never as serendipitous as the Turnpike Dunkins. A few years ago they started selling the coffee beans at the grocery store and everyone was hyping how good it was. It wasn't that good. Which leads me to the Ramones in Piersons Building Center. Here's two things that you also need to know. Pierson's provides free coffee to it's customers and employees. The other is that I am an employee of Piersons. Just to be clear, this isn't Ramones Cafe coffee they're giving away. It's whatever is good-enough-to-drink yet, give-away-free kind of coffee. This is what I usually drink because I'm a cheapskate and it gets me through the day. I've on occasion purchased a latte or two but in the nearly 3 years working there I've never purchased a regular coffee from Ramones. That is, until yesterday. It was medium roast. I added my own cream & sugar but damned if it didn't take me back to that foggy morning on the turnpike. Kudo's Ramones. This is the second best....not second, maybe third.. no I'll have to say definitely in the top 5 cups of coffee I've ever had.

I literally couldn't taste one bit of dressing in my Caesar salad with chicken. Also.. the chicken came on the side and wasn't mixed in. I lost half of it trying to mix it in. My friend would have enjoyed more of her Bahn Mi Salad aside of there not being enough dressing. She refused to pay the .75 for extra dressing after paying $50 for two white wines and 2 salads. I'm not sure I'll return. ‍

Then I wanted/needed another night cap so we ended here ,where there was another party happening!! Quality/Quantity - Simple menu done well. Better if you have been drinking the whole evening as I have been. See menu on website of "Nibbles" offered. Or check out my pictures. See picture of snack table. I noticed many people did NOT know this was available, and ordered their own nibbles(identical type of snacks). I basically ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. And as I walked around taking my Yelp pictures, I noticed the snack table, thank you. Atmosphere - What a huge location. The actual lounge was just okay in size, but they are connected to the historic Eagle House and I did not know where the businesses started or ended. Indoor/outdoor dining. Not sure what event was happening today, but there was a live DJ, snacks, etc. Not sure if it was open to the public...? Or if I crashed another party? Either way, I had a great time. Just checked your website; cut and pasted: "Tropical Vibes Happy Hour with DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora - Join us for some tropical vibes at Phatsy Klines Parlor Lounge, enjoy some delicious cocktails and tasty treats. DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora will be playing Afro beats with some Latin & Reggae Vibes sprinkled in the mix. Free all ages event." Service - Crazy busy, but they still did a good job managing the crowd. Price - $12 + generous tip. Owner Comments - Congrats on your success since 2017 and sorry to hear about the closure of your sister restaurant Tavern 1888. I was looking forward to visiting them also.

We looked at the reviews here on Yelp! and were a bit worried at the low overall rating. Well, rest assured, we had a good meal and enjoyed our visit. My wife had the filet mignon, while I ordered the rib eye. I asked our waitress about upgrading to the pricier dry aged rib eye, and she surprisingly talked me out of it saying the regular rib eye was really good. She was right. The combination of the grilling and the buttery sauce was delicious. It didn't need any additional sauce, but out of curiosity I tried the house sauce that was on the table, and it was quite nice. For some reason, they have a Tesla coil (from the original Tesla, not the car company) and they fired it off while we were there. They give plenty of notice before they do as it makes a loud sound and sparks fly about the device. It was interesting. So, if you're in town and looking for a good steak, give this place a try.
