This place is amazing. Our bartender was personable, welcoming and he also made us some incredible drinks. Well done Brian! My partner ordered off the menu and absolutely loved her "Fee Vert," it was fresh, delicious and so tasty. I consulted with Brian about my preferences and ended up with 2 extremely tasty cocktails. The ownership here clearly takes care to ensure that everything is top notch and high quality, including daily squeezed juices and well balanced combinations of flavors across the menu. We loved our time here and we can't wait to come back.

I came here one night with a friend to grab a drink and I really enjoyed myself. The bar is rather small and they have a live jazz band playing nightly? I believe, so it can feel rather tight in there when everyone is trying to sit or stand to watch the band. I've actually try to come here once before and it was too full so I ended up going elsewhere. That's a good sign that they always have patrons though. The bar has super interesting wall decor and painting. The bathroom here is insane. It's painted from top to bottom and has won some fun awards. The vibes in here are really nice. As for drinks, they have a good menu. Many of the drinks on there caught my eye, but the blind tiger won. The drink is cucumber vodka and elderflower liqueur with muddle blueberries and lemon. The drink looked amazing when the bartender was making it. When he went to pour the drink into glasses, he strained all the muddled blueberries out. The drink tasted pretty much like cucumber with a touch of lemon. I was a little saddened by this. The drink was still ok but I wish it had some of the blueberries still in the drink or some blueberry puree added to give it a little more blueberry flavor. Next time, I will be trying the ruby slipper. Overall, fun place. I will be back.

    Outside of the bar, beautiful!

Then I wanted/needed another night cap so we ended here ,where there was another party happening!! Quality/Quantity - Simple menu done well. Better if you have been drinking the whole evening as I have been. See menu on website of "Nibbles" offered. Or check out my pictures. See picture of snack table. I noticed many people did NOT know this was available, and ordered their own nibbles(identical type of snacks). I basically ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. And as I walked around taking my Yelp pictures, I noticed the snack table, thank you. Atmosphere - What a huge location. The actual lounge was just okay in size, but they are connected to the historic Eagle House and I did not know where the businesses started or ended. Indoor/outdoor dining. Not sure what event was happening today, but there was a live DJ, snacks, etc. Not sure if it was open to the public...? Or if I crashed another party? Either way, I had a great time. Just checked your website; cut and pasted: "Tropical Vibes Happy Hour with DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora - Join us for some tropical vibes at Phatsy Klines Parlor Lounge, enjoy some delicious cocktails and tasty treats. DJ RunDat & DJ Spadafora will be playing Afro beats with some Latin & Reggae Vibes sprinkled in the mix. Free all ages event." Service - Crazy busy, but they still did a good job managing the crowd. Price - $12 + generous tip. Owner Comments - Congrats on your success since 2017 and sorry to hear about the closure of your sister restaurant Tavern 1888. I was looking forward to visiting them also.

It is dark inside and smells "old". Our room was nicely decorated in old Victorian. It was overlooking the corner of 2nd & C right over the Irish pub. Everything was clean and nice inside. Bathroom was small but well stocked with supplies. The issue is more with the area. We took a walk after we arrived through the marina and old town area and concluded that we didn't feel terribly safe. We decided to stay in after dark. There were plenty of homeless and very "sketchy" people walking around talking loudly to themselves, etc. Know the rooms have no air conditioning so the hosts opened a couple of windows facing C street, which we left open all night, hoping that street wouldn't be terribly noisy. Fortunately, the Irish pub below us closes around 9:00, and the Mexican restaurant across the street was the same. By 9:30 or so the street was very quiet with only the occasional car and lone, loud motorcycle around midnight. Also there is no TV in the room, so bring your own entertainment! The WiFi didn't work either. We couldn't find the WiFi the hosts provided on check in. Overall, this area of town is trying to revive and the hosts are trying to bring back this hotel. Just be aware!

I ordered an aperol spritz on happy hour, husband had a blonde ale. Super reasonable drinks at $6 and $4 respectively. On the HH menu we chose a periogi, which was $5 and a fun snack. From the dinner menu, I ordered the very unique seaweed salad. It had seaweed three ways, fried crispy, slices and dried flakes. A completely different meal than offered anywhere else, it included crusty grilled plump shrimp and was full of umami flavor and nutty sesame oil. I would love to experience this dish again! I am so disappointed to hear they have closed permanently. I will finish my review anyway because I truly enjoyed this place, even for snackies. The service was great, and we moved on to our next destination quickly but will always remember the historic Eagle House lounge!

Our last night in Humboldt County. Bummed by the warm and humid weather from this summer's heat…read moredome, we were expecting a rather uncomfortable dinner as most of the establishments in Eureka don't have AC. We were graciously checked-in early during opening at 5, even if our reservation was at 6. Very thankful for that as Happy Hour was 5-6. This tavern was dimly lit with candles, table lamps and the ambient afternoon sun offering illumination for our mandatory photos. I was highly impressed by the ornamentation. Classy and very tasteful. Started our dinner with $6 cocktails (Old Fashioned, Aperol Spritz and Cosmopolitan). Got all three apps from the $5 HH menu. Fresh Humboldt Oysters (two), Korean Beef and Traditional Polish Pierogies. We were already full with these starters, but we foolishly proceeded to get the main courses. I'd blame this on the hardworking Eddie, a Schlansky lookalike (google: Conan Jordan image). He had this tic of repeated "how're you guys doing so far" that made this family order entrees, which was unbecoming of us. Catch of the Day. Halibut with roasted brussel sprouts and quinoa. Pork Belly Al Pastor with crispy polenta Striploin with pomme puree and sauce du jour. I told this crew of three that we were finishing the medium grilled steak and opted for the other dishes to be boxed. Thought that was the end of this meal, but noooo. My wife couldn't resist the Flourless Chocolate Torte. F & D, Service and Ambiance. All 5 stars. I'm just exasperated that a public house like this is 6 hours away from home.
