Bag of whole bean and their Mole Latte.
Cindy M.

Big fan of going to small, local coffee shops when on vacay. We found this cute gem! Inside is modern looking, has an industrial feel and outside has that rustic/out doorsy feel. I got my kid a concha and I got a blueberry olive oil cake. Both were delicious. I also got their Mole latte. I enjoyed my drink a lot. It tasted spiced which was delightful. The women behind the counter were super nice and welcoming. I recommend coming here if you're in town!

Autumn Blossom Latte

Cozy off street cafe, walk up, 5-6 seat bar, a table or two, friendly staff mellow atmosphere, the neighboring tap house had a Sunday morning techno party going, so the ambiance is likely more calming on most days -- we came for bakery as items from Friday Night Market were amazing, but arrived early afternoon and the "good" stuff we were hoping for was sold out.

Mocha and cinnamon sugar toast along with cappuccino and tacos

The Mocha was exactly as described in menu ...perfectly crafted. It was delicious. I wished I lived closer so I can have all the time. I also got the cinnamon sugar toast. Also delicious. This place is a must in the Humboldt area.

Nice little coffee/lite meal place off the beaten path, tucked back in the Creamery District. Seating is outdoors and high chairs are available. Very casual ambiance. Excellent coffee. I tried the avocado toast, "Eureka style" (arugula, fresh tomato slices and red pepper flakes added). The bread was a scrumptious, thick sliced wheat or multigrain sourdough, expertly toasted with toppings that were plentiful (maybe just slightly light on the avocado) and made for a great breakfast. Open at 7:30 am.

The grab and go cold case.

While visiting the area we dropped in for coffee and a quick bite around 10:30am Their menu looked promising until they told us they were out of all the hot breakfast items, so no tacos or chilaquiles. I asked for the Mexico cold brew....and they were out. So I just got an iced vanilla latte (surprisingly good) and my husband got the Blackberry ice tea (lacking in any flavor at all). As we finished up ordering and paying they told us they could do the chilaquiles, but I opted not to get them when I saw one person working behind the scenes next to a microwave. As we waited for our drinks I noticed they seemed to be a little unorganized at the espresso machine, with one person having to ask for their drink a couple of times. While their pastries looked decent, I couldn't help but notice quite a few flies hovering around the register. All seating is outdoors, but that's to be expected in this wonderful climate. We are really trying to support local businesses while we travel, but this place is disappointing.

Café de la olla cold brew

Cute shop, a little tight inside but plenty of outdoor seating. Just ordered the new cold brew and it came out reasonably quickly. The cafe de la olla was unique and delicious. Will be back with my new punch card for that mole latte!

Super yummy coffee, the mocha base isn't sweet but in the best way. Matcha is pretty good too when it comes to selection in Humboldt!

Such a simple yet complex ham and cheese sandwich, and Cafe Brio prepares theirs open-faced, allowing one to enjoy the flavors of the multiple cheeses without everything getting lost between two slices of bread. I know I definitely enjoyed it! The only thing I would do differently next time is order an extra poached egg bc one simply wasn't enough for me. I love me some runny yolk, and I wanted more of it with every bite. My friends ordered the Brio Benedict and Eggs Brian, and I'm assuming they enjoyed their meals as much as I enjoyed mine bc they might as well have licked their plates clean. And in absolute silence, too! You know the food is good when the conversation comes to a halt and all you hear are occasional "yums" between bites. I look forward to returning the next time I make the five-hour drive to visit my friends. And I definitely need to work my way through their pastry selection bc everything in that case looked absolutely divine. Next time, I'm saving room for pastries. Or maybe I'll just order them to go bc who am I kidding?!

I've come here twice now while visiting my brother. Last time me and my family came up I had a…read morefruit scone and a side of eggs with a rose latte (seasonal). The latte was amazing! Scone was pretty dry and ok and eggs were tasty. It did take an extremely long time to get our food though. Yesterday we came back as my dad enjoyed what he got last time. This time I got their seasonal pumpkin muffin that was AMAZING but just a big portion so I could not finish it all. Although, our food took almost 40 minutes to come out. Just like last time. It was pretty frustrating as we were all hungry. My dad got their polenta and tofu this time and said it lacked seasonings and flavor. He does enjoy their lattes. At the end of our visit, a family that had been waiting probably 10 minutes got their food. Turns out, their daughter works there. Fair, but a bit annoying that you have to have someone on the inside to get your food in a timely manner.

Great meal choices for everyone that was in our group. Located near the University, gets a good mix of young and older clientele. We sat in the back garden where there are a number of picnic style wooden tables, most with umbrellas for shade. The garden is decorated with lovely plants and flowers and makes the space that much more pleasant. Dogs are welcome here. Our drinks came put first and the food did not take too long to follow. I ordered a breakfast burrito which easily shared with another person. The particularly liked that the burrito was not soggy and maintained its structure while I ate it. Everything that came out to the table was very well put together and nicely presented. The dishes and cups used were also uniquely picked. I ordered a chai latte and it was perfect, not too spicy. I'd definitely go back here again.
