Stopped by for a quick breakfast on our way to Oregon. The shop is located centrally in old town. It's cutely decorated and the staff were very sweet. I ordered the bacon scramble on a Parmesan bagel. I wish I ordered the jalapeño cheddar bagel but I didn't see them until I ordered. The scramble itself was good. Hearty bacon and eggs were cooked well. The bagel was a little crispy for my liking instead of doughy. Also the Parmesan got a little burned when it was toasted. The coffee was a huge let down. Bagels were interesting, but solid experience overall. It was just lacking a little extra something that would bring it to the tier of my favorite bagels I've had. With that being said, I did enjoy them. I just had a bagel with plain cream cheese, so I could judge just the bagel as much as possible. They were nice and warm when ordered, as I had them toasted. The texture was fairly good, when it comes to good bagels I've had. However, the texture was just short of the top tier I've had. The chewy inside and crispy exterior were there, as I do a prefer a NY style bagel. The cream cheese was piled on nice and thick on the bagel. Thicccccc cream cheese, that each half of the bagel was substantial. They served it that way and I didn't bother pitting them together due to the volume. Scrambagels! [Eureka CA] This place seems to be a popular hangout among the locals as inside was busy at 10:30a on Memorial Day. We patiently stood in line while checking out the menu board. Everything looked good. Hubby and I decided on a Scrambagel each and got the Bacon Scram (scrambled eggs, cheddar and bacon). So yummy in organic sesame seed bagel. The bagels are freshly made daily and made with organic flour. The pastries looked appealing too! This was our first time here located at the Old Town Square in Eureka. We stopped here along the way back to San Jose. This bagel shop is located in a pretty cute area with lots of welcoming Pride flags. We found parking on the street. For the service alone, this place was 5 stars! The cashier was extremely warm and friendly. This spot was definitely queer and POC-friendly (which was a welcome relief, as we were traveling in a largely conservative area prior to this stop). I enjoyed admiring the artwork of different iconic people of color in our culture. I ordered the cucumber bagel. I liked the seasoning and the "slime"--but it was wayyyy too much cream cheese! As an east coast bagel snob, the bagels here are definitely worth the drive over and to buy a pile to take home. Nice and chewy with a good crust. Flavorful. And the bagel sandwiches are made with care and fresh ingredients. Staff are appropriate levels of brusk as any good coffee shop person should be -- and friendly. I mentioned that to the very friendly and helpful cashier who was helping me, and he got a laugh, and he agreed with me. They have a large amount of different flavored bagels, both regular and gluten-free, a good selection of cookies and other desserts, All kinds of different toppings, including vegan and vegetarian choices, and a good selection of drinks, including coffee and espresso drinks. Today, I had a slug with cream cheese. The slug, named after everybody's favorite Mollusk, is basically an everything bagel, shaped like a bar doughnut. It had a great chew, the toppings were fantastic, , and they were very generous with the cream cheese. The price was very reasonable, and I even got a military discount. Went here a few days ago, and sadly, Los Bagels tastes nothing like it did 7 years ago. That, or maybe it was a hiccup? The bagel was very dry, moistened by a little bit of butter inside the slice. The scrambled eggs with chorizo itself were overdone. Overall, the bagel as a meal wasn't very satisfying and brick-like. The service was typical and good as usual. Bagels are as perfect as a California bagel can be: chewy and dense with a crackly exterior. The ingredients they use for toppings are high quality - including some of the best lox I've had. The bagels here were yummy. That being said, the customer service (late morning on Tuesday, 09/02/25) was like being served by actual rocks. They were super slow - took 15 minutes to even walk to the register because their personal convo was apparently more important than doing their job. There were no emotions on any faces (the woman who took our order just stared at us when it was time to pay). The guy who made our food never called out our name and our food sat on the counter for who knows how long. Another lady asked him for help twice and he ignored her both times until she looked directly at him and said "excuse me" very loudly so it was impossible for him to ignore her again. I do need to point out that the service wasn't "bad" by any means... It just left us feeling that we could have hopped behind the counter and made our own food... nobody would have cared and we would have received our food faster. read more

This is the second time I've purchase their cream cheese and this is the second time it has molded extremely quickly. It's really disappointing considering their cream cheese is pretty expensive. This is the best local bagel shop that we always go to. Growing up in a small town, we didn't have many options for restaurants or food shops. Eureka didn't have any chain restaurants and only had mom-and-pop restaurants and shops. As a kid, we didn't appreciate the local spots much until we were older and moved away, only having big chain restaurants. I craved Los Bagels every day, so every chance I had when I was in town visiting my family, we would always come here. My go-to is their slug bagel, but every single bagel they have is delicious. My friend originally from Eureka recommended one place to eat and it was this place. We also saw it listed in a tourism brochure that advertised outdoor seating. Came by for breakfast. It was pretty busy. All but one indoor table was taken.. Luckily all the outdoor seating was available. (It was a chilly morning) They had two picnic tables and two small metal tables. We had our dog with us so it was great. Though she tried to follow anyone trying to go in or coming out, that had food. Haha. For March they were having some anniversary specials. I got the bagel with lox and cream cheese and a small coffee. In addition, we also tried their chorizo scram. The chorizo scram was ok, according to my husband. Thee chorizo had flavor. The eggs were soft scrambled. But there was not enough cheese, like barely any. You get to pick your flavor of bagel and they do toast it. Same for the cream cheese and lox bagel. I really wanted the walnut raisin but didn't think the "sweet" would go with the savoriness of the lox. They really pile on the cream cheese and there was so much smoked salmon. I definitely had to scrape some of the cream cheese off. BUt it was very yummy. There were 3 different types of coffee and it was self service.
