They had a dedicated area for sitting, and some things like board games available for groups to enjoy while sipping their beverage of choice. I got a mocha frappé and enjoyed it. It hit the spot on a sunny Eureka day. To my surprise, I got a freebie, with the barista making more than what would fit in the cup. The excess was poured into an additional cup, and given for free. That was awesome. Speaking of the staff, they were great. Despite being a busy day and not many people working, they pushed through and i saw them handle all types of attitudes and customers with great care. I enjoyed my drink here for sure.

At about the 10 minute mark, I honked my horn to let them know that I was waiting. The lady stuck her head out the window, looked at me, and I politely said, I've been in line almost 10 minutes. She didn't say I'm sorry, she didn't say I'll be right with you,, she just gave me a dirty look, and pulled her head back in the window. Once again, I left. Instead, I went over to jitter bean on Harris across the street from Safeway. There, I was behind three other cars, and even with three cars in front of me, I waited less than 10 minutes. At one point, one of the employees actually came out to the line, asked me what I wanted, took my reusable mug inside and then when I got to the window, my drink was ready. My mind was blown at the perfect balance of Hojicha with oat milk, a lot of times when I get matcha or Hojicha lattes I find shops don't get the ratio right but Witness created a delicious harmony of flavors. My husband got the drip coffee and he said it was the best he'd had on the west coast, I can confirm the coffee had incredible berry-forward, rich flavors. The vibes inside Witness Coffee Roasters is so chill, too. You can request a vinyl album to be played. Our barista was incredibly knowledgeable about coffee drinks, we enjoyed chatting with him. Also, their vegetarian-forward menu looks great. While their inside is super cozy, they do have a few outdoor tables in the front for folks with dogs. I wish we had a Witness Coffee Roasters where we live. I can't recommend this local shop more, they get a 12/10, they are a total gem in Eureka.

I'm so damn spoiled now. Other coffee shops in Humboldt CA should see this place as an aspirational influence! Coffee and food are brought to you (unless it's busy, then food is brought to you and your drink is announced at the bar to collect); every food item is great flavor, texture, fresh ingredients, and no-nonsense sauces (only quality sauces can be found here!) The vibe is still very welcoming, they've added sidewalk tables, and another window bar to sit and enjoy the plants and sunshine that beams in from the courtyard - for that matter, you can sit IN the courtyard!

( we've done many times and ik they get many orders like that a day) after placing my order, we went up to the window and we're going to get charged out and the worker named Cyrus had a bad attitude and was extremely rude and eventually whispered under his breath " yeah let's go to Dutch Bros and place 15 different orders" ( placed 3 btw and they were not very busy) I get people have bad days, but this specific worker has always had a bad offputting attitude to the point where over the last year+ any time I have seen him in the window I have turned and gone to the Broadway location. Their other workers are lovely tho! :)

Another employee was having a bit of a confrontation with a customer who complained about her drink. The customer did not speak concise English, so the complex drink got screwed up a bit. I certainly don't blame the employee. The customer was a bit aggressive. The employee did remake the drink, but she did so angrily. As Target goes, this seems like a nice store. I was graded by an employee of Target when I walked in the front.
