This is a remarkably charming place in Eureka - it really seems to be popular with the local people of Eureka. It's in a very beautiful section of downtown Eureka. I came early in the morning and only had a donut and small coffee there and the price was reasonable. They have a seating area in front of their counter and a larger seating area adjacent. Lovely wall art that appears to be from local artist. I really want to give it 5 stars - the only downside was - and I have to be honest - there was a homeless man who came into the cafe and started yelling repeatedly at the clerk and other patrons. This is NOT the fault of the owners but when I'm in side of a restaurant or cafe and eating I think it's reasonable to want to feel safe. This was early in the morning and after this aggressive person left there were steadily more and more customers coming in and I felt safer/better This is a great place and I hope anyone who is visiting Eureka to stop by and enjoy this popular place

Great coffee shop in Eureka. Non dairy milk options. Seasonal lattes. Even made it directly in my reusable cup. Bathroom in the back. Super cute vibe.

We're trace for the summer in our van but we try and keep up with national food days and today is National fudge day! This is the only place we found in Eureka with fudge but they offer so much more as well. Great little spot with plenty of seating and a menu of coffees, teas, sandwiches, wraps, bagels, pastries, and confections. We ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel with cream cheese and a piece of peanut butter chocolate fudge. The bagel was ok (probably not made in house), it could have been toasted a little more.. but they definitely don't skimp on the cream cheese.. lots of cream cheese. The fudge was amazing it even had a whole mini peanut butter cup in it. Staff were friendly and helpful and delivered good service. The place was busy with people eating, drinking and working on their laptops.

I love having coffee whenever I am eating chocolate and this place offers them both. Old Town Coffee & Chocolates has a variety of fudge and truffles on display that will make you drool. These pair well with their gourmet coffee, espresso drinks, and premium teas. If you like a particular type of syrup flavor in your coffee, they have quite a few to choose from. For food, Old Town has pastries, bagels, soups, and smoothies. There is plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. I found customer service to be so-so.

It was my first time here . It's a very nice clean big cafe with lots of sits inside and outside. It's very well decorated and they sell lots of different cute items like jewelers, books , mugs, coffee, etc . I ordered an americano and 3 pieces of chocolates. ( espresso, tiramisu and dark chocolate) The coffee was good . The chocolates all tasted the same . Taste just sweet . No taste of anything else . The 2 young gentlemen were super nice and friendly.

    Breakfast bagel. Yummmmm

Super friendly, efficient service. Excellent variety of drinks and foods. Delicious, interesting, unique food too. And this is one of the coolest buildings in old town Eureka. Definitely worth a visit. Check out the old planks floors and brick walls. So cool.

It didn't take me long to figure out that Eureka has an Old Town full of Victorian flair but with an edge. The edge came in the form of the hippie vibe prevalent in the Lost Coast where more than the coast felt lost. I'm not talking just about the snappish barista who acted like she had a long day. I'm also talking about the packs of homeless people who were scattered about the neighborhood, some of whom could afford a cup of coffee to sit a spell in here. Mix in the tourists and you have quite a hodgepodge of society congregating in what felt as much a vintage meetinghouse as it did a cafe. On a particularly brisk late afternoon, I was in the mood for an Iced Coffee and got a 20-ounce one for just $2.60 (photo: http://bit.ly/30AEPcY). Lots of chocolates if you dare (photo: http://bit.ly/2TAgger). COFFEE - 3 stars...hit the spot, nothing more AMBIANCE - 3 stars...it appears everyone in Eureka comes here SERVICE - 2.5 stars...brusque TOTAL - 3 stars...pretty much your only choice for caffeine in Old Town RELATED - Lost on the Lost Coast? They do not serve drip decaf coffee. Americano is NOT an acceptable substitute. Get your act together guys!

20 minutes for an Americano with no line is just weird to me. Everyone was friendly though.

Spent most of the tour hearing from the owner about how his workers kiss every one of your beans that come from plantations where even bullets were found in the beans the workers sort in the factory. Not once did he talk about the exploitation cocoa farms have for children in the country of origin, inclu ding child slavery or slavery amongst adults, nor the companies commitment to working with farmers who practice ethical trade. That lack of emphasis of the dialogue regarding human rights leads me to believe that acknowledging humans rights isn't something this company has even with their own workers. A bunch of people come in for a tour and the cafe workers who are pretty new to the front area have to be in charge of seeing about 15- 30 different orders with in 5 minutes and the front stage who makes below minimum of the cost of living has to be left felling supported? I wonder if all the staff working for you have even been on a sailboat or own one? It's on your logo after all. Or is it a simple nod to the slave trade being the reasons you are a millionaire? I think it would be amazing if this company could make products that do not include slavery or mistreatment of workers.

Parking is plentiful and the location makes it convenient to grab from downtown. My favorite part of the menu was that fact that you can order a flight of ice cream, which are priced at $6 for 4 scoops or $11.50 for 8 scoops. It's a GREAT way to have customers try different flavors without overwhelming the sample spoons (PS I don't think this place does samples). I ordered a 4 flight of Mango Habanero, Chocolate Hazelnut, Dream Sweet Cream, and Cherry. The Mango Habanero had a good occasional kick of habaneros in an otherwise sweet ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut was dark but not very nutty - I think it's a safe pick. The sweet cream tasted like a mcdonald's ice cream cone (but perhaps healthier), and the cherry flavor can be avoided as it didn't taste like anything close to cherry. The line was a little slower than expected, but the pricing is very fair, especially for the flights. Service was friendly, and I think their menu changes some flavors ever so often.
