    Candy!

A true old school candy makers shop, seriously every imaginable type of sweet you can get here. This shop is like stepping back into a time warp. Walk up glass display cases loaded with sweet treats galore. This family run business makes a quality product in a multitude of ways. Fresh assortments of chocolates, truffles, fudges, jellies, nuts and crews, creams, crunches, filled and I'm sure I am even forgetting a few. Seriously, had a flashback of the proverbial kid in a candy moment just walking from case to case and the aromas definitely made me think back to a much simpler time. It was row upon row of candy goodness... Mix and match as you like at a flat $5 bucks a pound a the bag, a great way to sample as few or as many as you like. We were able to make an assorted sack of other own favorites from a single piece to as many as we wanted until we both had a really great variety each. A couple of pounds later of our fresh haul and we paid the kind lady and were on our way! They can also make custom boxes in numerous options for an an up charge. A really cool old fashioned candy shop, made locally and daily. Definitely worth a visit and stop by. 4 Stars plan to stop in again 00622

Can never go wrong and will never disappoint no mater what holiday your shopping for. The kind of home made Candy that makes it fun and enjoyable to treat yourself for no occasion at all. Come here for all Valentines boxes or make your own. Christmas offers special treats as well and they will ship anywhere. A must have for guests to take home with them. Hopefully they would consider being open during Arts Alive once a month! So many people walking right by... Born and raised here and Partricks Candy will always have a special place in my heart and that of all the locals who have been coming here and enjoying it for generations. A true local treasure from the "old days"

Milk and dark chocolate nougats, caramel marshmellows and milk chocolate with marshmellows inside.... I really like marshmellows.

I absolutely love this place. It's an old fashioned candy shop. There chocolates are so tasty. Try the cotlet. It's their take on a Turkish delight.

Hands down the best candy ever. I have tried all kinds of gourmet candies over the years and nothing comes close.

Amazing brittle and I am a brittle fanatic. Puts mass produced brittle to shame (See's Candy, I mean you)

Ask the Community - Partrick's Candy

There was a Partrick's Candy store in downtown Napa for years. Anyone know if these stores are related? The Napa Partrick's made the best hand-dipped creams (Raspberry, Lemon, Strawberry, Chocolate, Maple, etc). Hoping it is related!

The word is that they were cousins to the Napa store owners. Not sure how much crossover in recipes? I want to know if they carry the ice cream also--but the yelp pics just look like chocolates...

The line wasn't too long of a wait, despite it being busy and understaffed. They had a cute location, and I really liked the dark wood throughout. They had a dedicated area for sitting, and some things like board games available for groups to enjoy while sipping their beverage of choice. I got a mocha frappé and enjoyed it. It hit the spot on a sunny Eureka day. To my surprise, I got a freebie, with the barista making more than what would fit in the cup. The excess was poured into an additional cup, and given for free. That was awesome. Speaking of the staff, they were great. Despite being a busy day and not many people working, they pushed through and i saw them handle all types of attitudes and customers with great care. I enjoyed my drink here for sure.

I came early in the morning and only had a donut and small coffee there and the price was reasonable. They have a seating area in front of their counter and a larger seating area adjacent. Lovely wall art that appears to be from local artist. I really want to give it 5 stars - the only downside was - and I have to be honest - there was a homeless man who came into the cafe and started yelling repeatedly at the clerk and other patrons. This is NOT the fault of the owners but when I'm in side of a restaurant or cafe and eating I think it's reasonable to want to feel safe. This was early in the morning and after this aggressive person left there were steadily more and more customers coming in and I felt safer/better This is a great place and I hope anyone who is visiting Eureka to stop by and enjoy this popular place

Parking is plentiful and the location makes it convenient to grab from downtown. My favorite part of the menu was that fact that you can order a flight of ice cream, which are priced at $6 for 4 scoops or $11.50 for 8 scoops. It's a GREAT way to have customers try different flavors without overwhelming the sample spoons (PS I don't think this place does samples). I ordered a 4 flight of Mango Habanero, Chocolate Hazelnut, Dream Sweet Cream, and Cherry. The Mango Habanero had a good occasional kick of habaneros in an otherwise sweet ice cream. The chocolate hazelnut was dark but not very nutty - I think it's a safe pick. The sweet cream tasted like a mcdonald's ice cream cone (but perhaps healthier), and the cherry flavor can be avoided as it didn't taste like anything close to cherry. The line was a little slower than expected, but the pricing is very fair, especially for the flights. Service was friendly, and I think their menu changes some flavors ever so often.

The reservations get filled quickly so you have to call the day before to reserve a private hot tub or sauna session. We arrived a bit early to our reservation so we stopped by the coffee shop first and I had to order the hot chocolate with added whipped cream because it looked so good from other reviewers photos. And oh my god, it was the best hot chocolate I've ever had!!! It's so rich with a strong chocolate flavor without being too sweet. And the mountain of homemade whipped cream was such a treat and made the whole drink even more decadent and creamy. I also wanted to note the design of the coffee shop felt like I was being transported to a rustic Scandinavian lodge or something, which was really cool. When it was time for our hot tub reservation, we walked through the courtyard to our hot tub and changing area. Each reservation gets their own private hot tub so you don't need to share with anyone else. The space is completely private and can't be seen from anyone outside in the courtyard. It was really nice because the hot tub area had no roof and was open to the air, so you could enjoy the sky and trees feel like you're relaxing "outdoors," and there was even a heated outside shower to rinse off before changing back. The whole thing was such a unique experience and I kept thinking about that hot chocolate, so I had to come one more time the next day before my flight to have it again because I don't know when I'll ever be in Arcata again. Highly recommend this gem!
