I stopped by Cafe Blue after finding out that they also run the Blueberries & Lace food truck where I was able to try their delicious banana draft latte. I was pleasantly surprised by the decor, everything looks so adorable and clean and they also have a little merch area! There was plenty of indoor and outdoor seating with a moderate but fast moving line that started at the door. We ordered a regular oat milk latte, an iced matcha latte and also grabbed one of their $1 "day old cookies" they had out. My husband said the oat milk latte had a great espresso to milk ratio and the "day old" banana split cookie did not taste stale at all and was delicious. My matcha was a bit on the lighter/mild side for the matcha taste and I'd probably get something different next time as their specialty drinks looked really tasty. I have been wanting to come here for so so long. The vibes are absolutely immaculate as soon as you walk in. They were having a jewelry pop up which was such a nice surprise!!! I was ordering and didn't know what to get and the barista was happy to suggest that I get the cake my day latte. I didn't know what I was expecting, but WOW. I want to love this place more, but unfortunately just missed the mark on things. The food all tasted fine, but generally not well executed or well seasoned, and our order was messed up twice despite very politely asking the restaurant to help fix. They were nice about fixing the order, but they also started to get busy and I think that factored into some of the trouble. Cafe Blue is my absolute favorite place in Syracuse to grab a great iced chai latte and my favorite breakfast sandwich. The employees are always so welcoming to everyone that enters that cafe. They have the best breakfast sandwiches from sweet to savory, anything you can think of with lots of options for add ons. My go to is the Maple Leaf sandwich which is a croissant with bacon, egg, and cheese with a maple aioli on top. I always add a little extra kick and add chipotle aioli to make it my own special sandwich. I am so grateful to have this safe space in Syracuse where I can go and be in my own little world. Such a great little cafe, and not so little with the recent addition to their space. The case was full of pastries, and they had some savory food options. I love the aesthetic of the whole place. The barista was very helpful in choosing what I wanted for my beverage and service was pretty quick too. They had some nice fall themed flavors and I was able to enjoy them in my iced matcha. Now onto the drinks-- they have so many flavors to choose from (classic options and seasonal). I went with the large ice latte + caramel + toasted marshmallow cold foam. OMG, that cold foam is next level! Like every single drink should come with toasted marshmallow cold foam on top! The latte itself was meh. BE AWARE!!!!!!!! I was a regular customer at Cafe Blue. Today I ordered my regular "Cherry Bomb" (it's an ice coffee specialty drink). I asked for no ice and ordered the large, I paid $10.80. When I received the drink it was a small with ice. I told the cashier that I ordered a large and she in turn said she accidentally put it in as a small. I asked her why the small cost so much - her reply is that I was charged an extra $2.00 for no ice! They did remake my coffee with no ice. They are charging their customers $2.00 for no ice and not informing the customer of this extra cost. Morally ridiculous! read more

First time meeting a friend at Café blue. What a beautiful little place. Clean and nicely decorated, with a small section in the back room of plants for sale. Nice menu, which has sandwiches, salad, bowls, salads, pastries, and of course, lots of different coffee and tea drinks. The staff is outstanding and helped us figure out what to order as first timers. I thought the small latte at six dollars was a little overpriced. I ordered the chicken and the fig sandwich which was presented on toasted bread like a Panini, and full of chicken, sliced apples, Brie cheese, and fig jam. It really worked and was delicious. It was served with a generous side salad, which made it a perfect lunch item. I did have some difficulty finding parking and parked around the backside of the building where I could see the aquarium being built. Immaculate vibes. Definitely the kind of coffee shop you come to for the aesthetic and ambiance. Especially lovely and cozy on snowy days. I dropped in on a Sunday morning about an hour after they opened. Shop was empty when I first arrived, but traffic quickly picked up. Definitely a popular spot -- limited seating inside, so plan your visit accordingly if you want to linger (you'll definitely want to linger.) The bakery case was stocked with gorgeous pastries including macrons, croissants, and cupcakes. Hard to choose! The specials menu was full of fancy possibilities. I opted for a an almond croissant and an oat milk latte. Didn't see prices listed for the baked goods, and my latte actually wound up being cheaper than what I expected from the menu? Around $10 total, $5 for the croissant and latte accordingly. More on the high-scale side for cafes including price-wise, but you can tell that the staff puts a lot of care into every aspect of the experience. The croissant was delicious, perfectly flakey and crammed full of almond paste that made me feel really nostalgic. The powdered sugar liberally dusted on top was the perfect final touch. Latte was good too. Solid playlist, and though the cafe got buzzy it wasn't too difficult to focus. A local jewelry maker set up a table for a pop-up while I was there -- love to see small businesses collaborating with and supporting other local entrepreneurs. If you don't nab a parking spot along the front of the businesses (you might not, because the building houses apartments too I believe) there is a bigger lot a short stroll away. Located in the Inner Harbor, close to Destiny USA and the waterfront, neighbors to a salon and the Meier's Creek Taproom. All around a nice experience. I'd definitely come back -- great place to meet up with friends or coworkers, or just take yourself on a work adventure or self-date. Very busy small restaurant and bakery in the Inner Harbor in Syracuse. The decor is very light and airy and with the two big front windows it was light and bright even on a gray winter day. They have lots of coffee options and I chose the Matcha Butterscotch Latte. The matcha was blended well and the butterscotch flavor went nicely with the grassy matcha. Three of us chose the chicken thighs, brie, apple and caramelized onion on sourdough bread. It was delicious....the chicken was cooked perfectly and was moist and full of flavor going beautifully with all the other ingredients and the fig was a jam added to the sandwich. I LOVE that instead of chips you can have a salad . What a brilliant choice. We shared an almond cookie that was sweet and tasty. For the first stop on my birthday, we stop to get some coffee. I saw that Cafe Blue had their September drink special which was name after Noah Kahan's songs(love this!). My husband got the Season of the Sticks (s'mores latte) and I got I Love Vermont (maple draft with maple cold foam). The maple draft tasted great, you can taste the maple without being overly sweet(I got it again a few days later lol). I tried my husband's drinks and that tasted delicious as well. I've heard so many great things about this place I couldn't wait to try it! Parking on a Wednesday afternoon was busy in the street and I had to circle a couple of times to find a spot. I found one in the back of the building and it was free parking . There was a line but thankfully someone was getting up so my friends and I got a table. It was so cute inside and the coffee selections all sounded amazing! I ended up with a Carmel latte! It was served in a real coffee mug which I throughly enjoyed! I chose the chicken thighs with fig jam panini with a side of salad for lunch. It was ok but I usually eat white meat chicken so it was a little strong for me. The star was the cookie. I shared this with my friends and we all declared it amazing! It was the almond croissant cookie. It was crisp on the outside but soft and chewy on the inside and the flavor was outstanding. There's no other coffee shop in Syracuse that I know of having pop-up TATTOO STANDS?! Popped in this morning for the fall maker's market and was so blown away by the art, craftsmanship and talent lining the walkway outside Cafe Blue. There was so much to see and it was a beautiful perfect day!! Cafe Blue has a lovely curated menu that always goes along nicely with the season, the month, and the vibes in the community. I love that this coffee shop does so much to support the local community, between coat drives, coffees for cops and so much more. It's obvious when you come that this is the hot-spot coffee shop in Syracuse. If you're here on a weekend, come in early it expect to wait in line. The ambiance of this cafe is absolutely immaculate. For sure one of the most beautiful cafes in town! However, I will note that coming in during a workday somewhat close to lunch it was packed. And because they have a lot of 4-person tables, they do suffer from individual people taking up the 4-person tables. It is just a bit cramped. They have a wide variety of options for drinks and food, with many blue-themed items in the mix. Drinks include many tea-based options that are all made with loose tea or matcha rather than bags or a premade mix (i.e., top quality!). The employees have recommended favorites you can try if you want a unique flavor combination! As for food, they have a variety of toasts, pastries, sandwiches, and salads. My highlights: Iced Blueberry Earl Gray - All of their tea drinks use real loose tea, which is brewed fresh with a hint of what seems like natural sweetness. Delightful! Blue Tropics Smoothie - They're made fresh but they are way too thick, so drinking them is kinda tough until they melt a bit... which takes awhile. I actually broke my straw trying to drink it, so more of a spoonable smoothie (they should really thin them out a little if it's not a smoothie bowl). However, it was absolutely delicious! Very banana-forward flavor with chunks of pineapple and a chocolate swirl on the outside of the cup. Sweet Avo Toast - I was excited to try a "sweet" avocado toast. This included pistachios and a drizzle of honey. An excellent combination and quite filling! $1 Day-Old Almond Croissant - First of all, I really love that they do this instead of throwing food away. Of course it was a little bit stale, but it was still delicious! Dusted with powdered sugar and slivered almonds, there was an amaretto filling that was delightful! I was so impressed! I tried an iced latte with almond milk and caramel. I get this same drink everywhere and they are one of the best to make it. They use Salt City Coffee which is great, especially for drip coffee. We also tried the sandwhich with chicken, brie, caramelized onion, and apple. Yum! Salads looked great too. They carry GF bread and appear to have a couple GF dessert options. I saw GF almond cake and flourless chocolate cake. The interior is gorgeous! You can tell a lot of thought went into it. I loved that they use chicken thigh for this instead of just grilled chicken because it carries much more flavor with the hint of skin. I love when a panini is gooey with cheese like it's supposed to be. If you're looking for something rich yet with a touch of sweetness, this is it. They also have a ton of freshly baked goods. I have heard so many great things about this spot, and finally got to check it out on my day off. Not only is the decor BEAUTIFUL and obviously had so much thought put into it, but the beautiful counter with amazing pastries around it is so inviting. My friend and I got breakfast there, I had a breakfast croissant which was amazing and mouthwatering, and she had a sweet potato bowl that smelled and looked amazing. The coffee we ordered was so delightful and tasted perfect, the barista took great care to make sure we liked them.
