    vegan chocolate almond croissant

Stopped by a bright and cute little find off Erie and Warren; found back in angle parking along Erie . Had a delicious vegan chocolate almond croissant and I am not vegan. I have tried many a vegan items however, and the crunch and flakiness on this croissant was next level for vegan, I am impressed ! The gal working was friendly and helpful and quick , she said they make their own house made substitute in lieu of butter on their vegan items, it was really good whatever it is ! Also tried the golden oat drink, had an unexpected black tea base so it was okay, light and toasty. Enjoy when you stop in , definitely would return .

So many choices to choose from that I couldn't pick just one sweet treat... so purchased 5. Starting with the two croissants, the buttery croissant was light and flaky and full of flavor. Darn good size too. The strawberry croissant was similar in texture with a nice addition of strawberry flavor powder on top and jam the middle. Delish. You know these were freshly made for this day. Who doesn't love cinnamon buns? These are really good. The pastry, cinnamon, and frosting all come together for a nice sweet pastry treat. I did not eat the whole lemon blueberry donut (but I did take a bite) and I did like what I tasted. I'm not huge on lemon but I love the blueberry mix. The pecan rye scone was very good. You scone fans will enjoy the pecan flavor overtones. I my favorite was the zucchini muffin. Bite after bite was just fantastic. For lunch later on in the day we ordered two avocado chickpea tartines's. You get a whole bunch of avocado, sweet onion, celery and chickpea all served on sourdough. An excellent light lunch fare. To drink there was the mango Matcha. Very strong macho flavor until you mix the whole thing to

It's been a while (too long) since I've been here. I came a few weekends ago in the morning. The cafe was busy and buzzing, yet the staff was super patient as I made my choices (not an easy option!) I picked up a vegan donut and french toast to bring to my friend. She didn't eat it in front of me but I'm sure she enjoyed it. Both looked excellent and it was tough not to try it myself! I got a huge muffin and a macaron to enjoy. I took my treats outside and ate at a sidewalk table, which made for a lovely start to the morning. I'm so happy that we have this bakery in our city and definitely recommend paying a visit.

Great bakery with all different types of goodies. Muffins, Croissants, Personalized cakes, and delicious egg sandwiches. Many options for vegan and gluten free diets. This time I tried the avocado toast. One of the best I have ever had. Plenty of space to enjoy your treats there. Prices are very fair. Staff was very accommodating and friendly. You have to come check them out.

This is such a great spot for dessert and drinks. I wish they were open later in the day so I could come here more often. When I'm nearby I love to stop in for their donuts or other pastries. The interior is always decorated so nicely too and the staff are very helpful!

We're road tripping and needed a vegan baked good fix. I had seen a few good reviews on Google and decided to check it out. Some fun and delicious baked good and coffee. The place was busy but we were helped quickly. There was outside seating available and the place is bright and upbeat! Definitely stop again next time passing through.

This place is truly excellent. I came up to Syracuse to sample a few of the dessert places I never got the chance to try, and this place was one of them. And certainly the best of them all by far, which exceeded the hype I got from my friends. Many dessert places load up on the sugar in a way that masks flavor, but The Sweet Praxis is different. In everything I tried, I could tell there is care put in to balance the sweetness, flavor, and texture of all of their desserts. I truly enjoyed every bite. The chocolate tart had a perfect crispy crunch with a touch of saltiness to the crust and a rich but flavorful chocolate mousse filling. The hibiscus donut was delightfully fluffy and airy with a delicious hibiscus frosting that was just right, not overly sweet, and very flavorful in contrast to the donuts own doughy flavor. The macaroons had that perfect delicate crunch with a very smooth cream (and they were wonderfully presented). It was an experience, despite being takeout in my car. This shop is very specific in categorizing their vegan and gluten free options, which I appreciate. They also just make items that are vegan and gluten free rather than creating a "GF version" of another item, which I think is great for inclusiveness (though perhaps also means the top items might be out of stock when you get there!). To me, this shows that these options, to them, are not merely an afterthought, but are a given as part of their menu creation. I can say with confidence that this is now THE dessert spot for me in Syracuse (though they also have savory items as well, too!). I will absolutely come here again, and tell all my friends.

Wow. I love this place. The people are swell (one of the staffers and I were wearing the same mask!) and the space is cool but honestly, the food is so good I cannot say no. Drive 73 miles to start the day with special-blend Recess coffee latte plus fancy avocado toast (tartine) and a stuffed French toast treat. Ended the day with a chocolate boo-tiful cream puff. Everything is to-go due to COVID but there are two chilly potential tables outside. Plenty o' macarons to chose from and cake donut varieties. Almost chose the chocolate croissant. And those quiches looked great. Not easy to run a small business in this COVID time so stop here and buy everything you can - you won't be disappointed!

I have been to this cute establishment multiple times and loved it. Yes it's pretty pricey but a lot of the menu items are gluten free or vegan. The donuts are amazing! The reason for 3 stars is due to my recent experience. I purchased the sweets box for Valentine's Day this year for my husband and I. I got the vegan box as the flavors of macarons and cookies sounded delicious. It was expensive but I didn't care because it was a special occasion. However we were extremely disappointed in this box. Everything inside (minus lemon lavender cookies) were hard as rock/stale, some even inedible. The lemon lavender cookies were tasty but bland. I thought maybe this is due to the desserts being vegan? I asked a friend that purchased the same box and she said hers was disappointing as well. I think they took on too many orders and made them too far in advance.

Croissants, Frenchest Toast, apple cider doughnut, macaron.
    Genevieve F.

Croissants are more dry and crispy than my preference but they're still very good. I especially enjoyed the almond croissant, it wasn't too sweet. The Frenchest Toat was very similar to the almond croissant; they used the same almond paste and silvered almonds, yum! I was not a fan of the apple cider doughnut, it had no apple flavor and just tasted like cinnamon and sugar. In fact there was so much undussolved sugar the texture was crunchy. The macaron's were fantastic in texture but bland in flavor unfortunately. I would come back to try other pastries.

There is always a pleasant vibe to it and often there are people chatting or working on laptops. Employees are always really nice. I really enjoy the Pandan Matcha. Its so hard to find pandan drinks in the area! I find the drinks are often really sweet and so its important to order them with no sugar or less sugar. The boba is okay although the straws they have been using lately are too small for them so they lose some of the shape and correct texture. A random thing I love about their drinks are they used a crushed ice, it makes it feel appropriately portioned to the drink itself. Although I am not a coffee person, the cafe lattes are my partner's favorite in the area and they are highly customizable. It's also nice that they offer a carrier when you have a few drinks to-go. Interestingly, the cake and desserts are the weaker part for me for Cake Bar. They are often pretty dry for my tastes. My favorite has been the potato chip cookies, but I have only seen them a few times. The chicken wing dip buns are pretty good and filling though and are worth trying! This cake came out exactly like the reference photo I sent. It was a three-tier cake, vanilla cake with strawberry filling in each layer, and it was absolutely delicious. They didn't have the specific decorations I wanted, so I ordered them on Amazon and brought them in the day before pickup for them to decorate the cake--and they did a great job bringing it all together. I also want to add that this is not my first time getting a cake from here, and every single time they absolutely kill it. Consistency matters, and Biscotti never misses. And let's talk about the mini fruit tarts--because whew. I always treat myself to one (or two) whenever I place a cake order. They are fresh, perfectly balanced, and so good every time. I picked up my cake on a Sunday around midday, and it was super busy, which honestly says a lot. Plus, this is an actual café, not just a bakery. I found myself with some work to do on a Saturday morning and decided to swing by. There's on street parking on the block it's on and surrounding blocks. There's also an abandoned store across the street with a small lot, which is where I wound up parking. The space is small but I didn't have any trouble finding a seat, though I imagine that might be a different case later in the day or during peak study time for the students. I got an ube iced coffee special with oat milk, and impulsively ordered the breakfast burrito too. I figured if they have shirts advertising the burrito, it must be good. The decor is very trendy and chic and well-curated, and you'll feel super hip hanging out here. The coffee was alright but my shot was a bit on the bitter side - assuming this was just a one-off. The breakfast burrito lived up to the hype. Fluffy eggs, perfectly crispy pressed tortilla, a flavorful aioli generously slathered all over the plate. Definitely one of the places to come (if not THE place) in Syracuse if you want a breakfast burrito. Unfortunately for me, the WiFi was down when I went, so I couldn't actually do my work and didn't stay long. Womp womp. Perhaps unavoidable, but definitely not ideal for a coffee shop. I wish I'd brought a book with me that day or had more time just to spend, because I'd say this spot is great for silent reading and unplugging more than working or socializing. Worth checking out, for the aesthetics and the tasty egg burritos.

We walked in at 5pm on a Tuesday and had our choice of tables. We picked a small table next to the wall to be further away from the chill of the door opening. We were greated immediately by the sweet bartender who was also taling care of the tables at that point. At the table there was a carafe of water and glasses. I can't tell you how much I appreciate when restaurants do this. I drink a lot of water and it's nice to have it available. The ambiance of the room was nice. Candle on the table, string lights throughout, and local artwork on the walls that feature a new collection each month. Our server/bartender got our drink order right away. I had a glass of wine and my friend ordered one of their cocktails that she said was amazing. For the dining week special we each got an appetizer, entree, and dessert for $30.
