sandwich of the day (cbr) and mozz & pesto

Pasta's daily bread is the perfect add on to Pastabilities and so excited I tried this out! It's a small little room with no seating options so it's the perfect spot for a quick lunch "pick me up". Working in Franklin Square, this is the perfect stop for lunch as they have ready to go sandwiches and pastries. They always have a "Sandwich of the day" for something fun and different but they always have classics like ham, turkey, mozzarella, etc. They also have a case filled with pastries that always looks so delicious! The portions are great size, the staff are kind, the line moves quick - what more could you ask for? I can't help but come here almost every week!

I came in and grabbed a loaf of each pepperjack and olive bread. Service was quick even though there was a line. The bread was nice and soft. They had pizza and cookies and other things that looked delicious.

As soon as you step inside, you're greeted by a wave of warmth both from their ovens consistently going and their friendly staff. There's a gleaming case of freshly baked goods with an assortment of goodies and right behind the register is a wall with shelves filled with bread loaves. The most difficult thing you'll experience here is deciding what to get! Hint: you can't go wrong with stretch bread!

Great friendly service. A little unassuming bakery across from the well known Pastabilities. They have more than just bread here. I came for the sandwiches. I've tried the cranberry pecan chicken salad which I loved, and the italian. The italian tasted good but it was difficult to eat because the filling slid out from the mayo. They have a daily soup and I tried the beef minestrone which was delicious. I think everything is reasonably priced and it is a great spot to grab a quick lunch.

Amazing bakery and such friendly employees. Always so helpful! Their restaurant is across the street "Pastabilities", a wonderful Syracuse institution for decades. This bakery is where the "stretch" bread is made. A long loaf - crispy on the outside and full of nooks and crannies inside. They sell, the stretch bread, round loaves in so many flavors! Raisin pecan, asiago, gorgonzola, olive as well as a few varieties of rolls. They sell pizza squares and homemade pasta, sauces and spicy tomato oil. Their scones, cookies, shortbread and macaroons are delicious. I picked up some of the chocolate chip shortbread, peanut butter scones and some everything seasoning rolls.

Amazing dessert!! Delectable choices at fair prices. The employee shared that new creations are available at both the bakery and the restaurant, Pastabilities. I had the oatmeal cookie and chai buttercream whoopie pie. Many cookie options as well as fun cakes and decadent rice crispies!

The thing I miss most about working downtown is smelling the bread baking at Pasta's as I walked to work. While I don't miss the daily commute, I do miss being able to pop into Pasta's on a whim. It's been a hot minute (actually, like 2 years) since I've been in, and I was downtown in Armory Square the other day so thought I'd stop by. I came shortly after 10:30 AM and they were still setting themselves up for lunch (read-- everything's super fresh!) but they had a caprese sandwich ready to go, so I grabbed that and continued on my way. The sandwich was delicious, fresh and tender mozzarella, crisp tomatoes, flavorful pesto, and the famous stretch bread. You can get the bread in various restaurants around Syracuse as well as in Pastabilities of course, but if you want to go straight to the source and stock up you have to make a pitstop at this bakery. Lots of fresh homemade pastas and breads. Not really room to dine in, but a good outlet for a quick grab-and-go-lunch or snack.

Went today to get some stretch bread, asiago focaccia and focaccia pizza. If you haven't tried their pizza you really are missing out on delicious pizza!

Right across the street from Pastabilities in a nice, safe and walkable part of the downtown area. Lots of metered street parking around. They have a nice variety of baked items; breads, focaccias, sauces, deli sandwiches and some other sweet treats like short bread bars and some really amazing cookies. Everything seems very fresh. The counterperson was very friendly and efficient.

Spicy hot tomato oil and stretch bread loaves.

This place might actually be heaven on earth. All the bread. All the desserts. All the hot tomato oil! The staff here are always so fun and friendly and I find the prices to be great for the taste and quality of what you're getting! I definitely recommend a stretch bread loaf with hot tomato oil. Cannot go wrong with a classic!

    Ugh so gooooood!!!!!!!

The best bread and spicy tomato oil!! I could eat it everyday. The only complaint is the parking situation.

It was about 1.5 miles from my hotel stay in Syracuse. Upon entry (see the pics), you can tell it is a business that distributes the doughnuts out. The back of the store is busy with guys packing and wheeling loads in and out of business vehicles. I ordered six doughnuts. I chose glazed and cinnamon and then told the clerk to finish it off. There was no drinks or coffee, other than skim milk, which I got. It was good because it was freezing cold. Doughnut places in Mass like to charge 2 or 3 dollars per doughnut. This was not the case at Harrison Bakery. After I entered, it seemed like the place got really busy. When I returned to my car, there were alot of vehicles in the lot than when I arrived. Price: Cheap Vibe: Friendly Service: Great...3 employees ready to take orders Parking: Plenty Would I return: Yes, I hope to when I come back for Notre Dame Football weekend vs. Syracuse weekend in November '26.
