Thank you Mario's Bakery! My daughter picked up some pastries for my Birthday and you never disappoint. All of my favorites. Everything is fresh, flavorful and delicious. I've been there several times and all of your staff is friendly and the line goes quick. Everything in this shop is amazing.

I've been here at least 4 times, and all I can bring myself to order is the Danishes. They have other pastries, the whole Italian cookie line up, all sorts of things that are probably delicious. I also hear they're great at cakes. But if I come here, it's to see what kind and how many Danishes they have, and I order as many as I can get away with. If you know me, you know I have a pretty serious collector's mentality I tend to have when it comes to trying food. There is so much amazing food I've only had once because it feels like such a waste not to try something new instead. So keep in mind that these Danishes are the exception to the rule, or perhaps the cure to the condition. I did come across an all white coconut flaked half-moon and had to have it. It was huge, and thick, and I thought I was getting away with something having only the white frosting. Turns out though you kind of need that duality, and by the end it was just a lot of sweet. They do have coffee available as well, but it's out of a Keurig and the whole thing seems like an afterthought, or perhaps it was initially set up for the employees. The machine's in the corner, and the cups and mix-ins weren't in plain sight. Anyway though, the freaking Danishes. I so rarely go to North Syracuse or I'd probably be a regular here. When I'm in the area, I feel like I have to come in if they're open. They never have a ton of any specific item in stock, so it's really a game of showing up and seeing what's available. A few times they only had one left, or just one flavor available. We got lucky on the day I brought my girlfriend, and we had to cut ourselves off at four. These pastries are the softest, richest, most well made Danishes I've ever had or dreamt of. When I move out of state, this will be one of the places I try to make it to while I'm visiting home. I'm sure there's a whole world of stuff here to try. All I can really tell you is that if you're looking for an amazing Danish, stop what you're doing and come here before they're gone. Note: Before coming here, my stance on Danishes was neutral at best. All the enthusiasm came exclusively from what I've ordered here.

Mario and his team are all great. I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted for my wedding and he helped me decide. He wasn't out to just take my money; he actually talked me down from ordering a bigger cake. The size he recommended was perfect. He was very easy to talk to and never got impatient with me even though I know I was probably a pain to work with because I couldn't make up my mind. He used all the product I gave him for decorating the cake and cupcakes and they came out looking beautiful and tasting amazing. Mario himself came to the venue to do the dessert setup and it looked amazing. Both times I went in to have a meeting with him I left with pastries; it smells so good in his bakery I couldn't leave without purchasing something! We will definitely be going back to Mario for future events!

Bakery is dirty, I saw a bug on top of the glass which covers the cookies. The cookies were stale.

I loved the look of the…read morecandies and the process of making them, and figured I'd try them out ... just once on a whim. My wife light heartedly teased me, "you did not just spend $$ on a box of candy from an unknown shop on the other side of the country!" I was worried about them surviving the trip to Fresno. Well, they arrived today, perfectly intact with a tiny bit of chill left in the cooler pack to keep them that way. My wife tried one (it's up to four, I think, now), and then she wanted to know the name of "this shop I found". She immediately dug up the shop's website and began picking favorites. Hercules now has two solid fans now in Fresno. My wife has been looking for years for a chocolate experience she's missed for all that time, and these provided that. It's fantastic that you can order light, dark, or mixed as well as creams, nuts, or mixed to get exactly the variety you like best. We got all dark and a mix of fillings. They are perfectly sweet without being cloyingly so. And both the chocolate and the cream inside are so smooth without a hint of the crystalization present in even premium brand mass-produced chocolates (think Godiva). I should probably add that I love them, too. But I had a feeling I would watching them being made, so that was kind of expected. The red creams are amazing! There were some crunchy toffee ones that I really loved as well. I haven't hit a blue one yet like in the video, oddly enough, but there are plenty more to go! We will definitely be having more shipped out this way before the 100°F summer months make that too risky.

I've not been personally but I've been watching on YouTube for about 8 months and I had to order…read more 1. Very Cherry creams covered in Milk Chocolate. As a Brooklyn boy I always found it odd there was no tip jar, we do things differently where I'm from. The prices for their goods is extremely good. Syracuse, take note of this and cherish your establishments. I walked out with two dozen donuts & a single danish cheese for $25. A famous national chain charges I think over $2.25 for a subpar donut. When I visit Cuse, I always stop here but this past time I feel the donuts were not as fresh as they once were, this could be very biased due to my experience and I don't go that often, the regulars will have better input in quality of the years. But what happened below is why I'm no longer stopping in. Saturday the 27th I pull into the parking lot and see a woman outside asking for change, very normal for me where I'm from. I don't say anything. I came inside to do a good deed, bring my neighbor and his children a dozen of donuts and grab a dozen for my family and an army buddy visiting from the west coast. I'm in a good mood. I never give people change, I always buy food. I decided I'll buy a cheese danish for the very thin woman outside in the cold. I add that to my order. Total $25 gave $30 and told the Wonderful Woman who took my order to keep the rest for herself. As I walk out, I offer the woman the cheese danish. She declined it. In a very rude way saying "she doesn't eat desserts". Now toots, you're in front of a damn bakery. People are more inclined to give you food as opposed to money so we don't support your clear drug habit. In Brooklyn where I'm from, the people like that still take the food, say thank you as it's still a kind gesture with good intentions and tosses it when you leave. That being said, there is no issue at this point. I say, "ok, have a good day and walk to my car". If the owner would like to review footage, it's the black 4Runner with NY disabled veteran plates. As I'm getting into my car, the same woman screams at me. Saying "bounce b-I-t-c-h" and telling me I better leave. Of course I reply with every profanity known to man and leave. The next morning I go again to take two donuts for my drive back to Brooklyn. Guess who's there? Yup the same delusional woman. Asks again for change and I tell her, "not after the way you treated me yesterday, I'll probably never give someone anything again that asks". Then she says "why does this man come here? I walk inside, order my two donuts and receive great service from the gentleman with glasses, who I gave a $1 tip to in two donuts. As I'm walking out another customer in the waking into the parking lot of course hands her a dollar. I told him my experience and he still chose too, hey it's America do what you wish. But when this broad is here every day, it's because people keep giving her money. But hey, his choice. And I'll do as I wish. I will no longer be coming to a Harrison Bakery. If they allow a delusional person to sit for hours everyday on THEIR property to accost/ harass customers, they cleary do not value us as customers to have a great peaceful experience. The donuts & Black & Whites are not that good to have to ruin my vibe. It's their property. Harrison bakery is 100% responsible of who is on their property and for what purpose. Syracuse PD will have no issue with issuing a no trespass for this person who literally stands or lays against the brick wall all day. Keep in mind. This is coming from someone who literally grew up in homeless shelters from time to time, even a bit of time at the Vera house down the road.
