Ice cream

Like most of my ice cream reviews, your personal experience will hinge upon whether or not you like ice cream. If you do, guaranteed 5 stars, if not, I'm confused why you are reading reviews...anywho. It's a nice ice cream stand with standard prices, plenty of options to choose from and happy faces all around. Service was quick and smooth. Enjoy!!

Hot caramel apple sundae

Cute little icecream stand with fun seasonal flavors and twists. Pictured are the pumpkin and maple twists (with added caramel) and the hot caramel apple sundae. Both delicious. The pumpkin wasn't overly pumpkin-y which I really enjoyed. They had fun and refreshing summer flavors as well. The girls working are always nice and friendly and don't mind my last minute caramel add-on. There are several tables to sit at, some are kiddie-height. A decent parking area as well.

After enjoying a delicious lunch at Cracker Barrel, we figured we should get some dessert. After a bit of googling, we happened upon Peter's Polar Parlor. It's definitely a cute little place. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but the outdoor, old-school ambiance is worth the trip. I decided to keep it simple by getting a Hot Fudge Sundae with all the fixins. It's a tasty concoction. It doesn't reinvent the wheel or anything but it certainly satisfied my craving for a sundae. I wish the ice cream were a little creamier and the hot fudge sauce a little richer, but those are small complaints for something I enjoyed very much.

Sundae with hard icecream, peanut butter and Carmel toppings on right!

Fantastic service, everyone working, clean and icecream was fabulous! Located on a corner so it's easy access in and out.

The place is absolutely adorable and feels like you're stepping back in history. The employees were very friendly and polite. The ice cream was very good and creative; I've never had pistachio soft serve before and it was delish! Okay there's my nice things I have to say. Besides the above the area is a little creepy, I wouldn't want to go here alone and worry for the girls that work there honestly. The servings were tiny compared to the prices they were charging. I understand everything costs more but if you're charging what you're charging, you might as well add a little bit more to that price and give customers the feeling like they got something for their money! I can see this place being a one-and-done trip for many customers, which is unfortunate because it's a really cute building, it's just not worth going out of my way to visit it again unfortunately.

Place has been here forever, it's been there before I was a kid.. got the old school look to it and the ice cream is usually done well.

$7 for a melted small milkshake that tasted very off, almost sour. I recommend going elsewhere.

The soft ice cream has a very chemical taste. Not sure if they don't clean their machine well enough. Prices are reasonable.

Heavily overpriced, average quality ice cream. Lack of options for hard ice cream, hot fudge sundae $7?!? And there really was no hot fudge!

Cute small business with a lot of charm. I had to stop here since they had a special for Matcha. I…read moream obsessed with matcha and it's hard to find soft serve around Syracuse. The staff was very nice and gave quick instructions to direct us around the store which had a bit of a different layout. We went on no weigh Wednesday, which here it has 3 different sizes for that. There were a decent amount of froyo options, but notably only one sugar free option so it was a bit limited for my partner. There weren't as many toppings as other froyo places in the area as well. The back area has a bunch of free to play arcade games and a fun vibe, with a lit up netted ceiling.

The whole vibe felt relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for all kids to enjoy. The staff was incredibly patient, and you can tell they truly care about creating an inclusive environment. As a parent, that meant everything. The kids had the best time swirling their own froyo, adding toppings, enjoying the cookie cake, and playing the free arcade games. It kept everyone entertained without being overwhelming. The unlimited photo booth prints were such a fun touch and made the day even more memorable. We celebrate neurodiversity, and Luv Handlz does too. The space makes every child feel seen, supported, and able to have fun comfortably. Parking can be a bit limited, but there's street parking and an additional lot across the street behind Chadwick's. Whether you're hosting a birthday, grabbing pizza and froyo with friends, or just looking for an easy afternoon treat, this is such a great spot. Fun, simple, inclusive, and genuinely welcoming. Highly recommend!

It's weird how you can live a life in fully devoted to getting ice cream whenever possible from…read morewherever possible and still find new places like this. I don't think this place has been around long at least, but we definitely missed in its prime this season. It's kind of tucked away on Nottingham in the Drumlins building. We tried to come here last Sunday. Their posted hours had them opening hours ago, but they were closed. We cried and cried, regrouped, and went to Carvel. They were open the next time we tried a few days later. It seems like a small setup and one-man operation, with a dozen or so flavors of Hershey's hard ice cream and standard soft serve. It's the last week of the season, so they were kind of winding down. I love Fall, but it's sad watching the ice cream places dwindle down once they've stopped re-ordering. And all the best flavors go first. I got a banana pudding sundae and added peanut butter sauce, because peanut butter banana. The banana pudding made a great sundae, and they put something that served as pie crust at the bottom. I wish I'd thought to slow down and see what it was, because it was incredible, but I ate it as quickly as possible. They don't seem to have a ton of selection on the regular menu (maybe they do specials when they're going full speed during the season), but I'd come back to try at least half the sundaes I saw if they're made as well as the one I had. My girlfriend got a milkshake and used banana pudding ice cream, and a scoop of peanut butter ice cream (I forget the name of it). It was an average milkshake she said, but the pb cup pieces in the ice cream and crunch coat added on top made it better. We threw in a counter cookie at the last minute. It was a lot bigger, but I'd compare the taste and consistency to a Wegman's chocolate chunk cookie. Soft and kind of chewy but with a super consistent texture. They're homemade, but have a less than homemade feel to them if that makes sense. We were extremely hungry and taking our ice creams home, so this was to keep us alive for the drive home. I'd have to see some compelling specials or be right in the area to come back here. It's better than a bare bones ice cream stand, but not enough to pull me in from the distance I drove to try it.

Nice servers, big portions of great ice cream! With two two-year-old grandkids who loved it too!read more
