My friend hosted a birthday party at Luv Handlz. The party room was a sensory-friendly space, dark but cozy with low lighting, lots of soft colored lights, and low sound levels. The whole vibe felt relaxed, welcoming, and thoughtfully designed for all kids to enjoy. The staff was incredibly patient, and you can tell they truly care about creating an inclusive environment. As a parent, that meant everything. The kids had the best time swirling their own froyo, adding toppings, enjoying the cookie cake, and playing the free arcade games. It kept everyone entertained without being overwhelming. The unlimited photo booth prints were such a fun touch and made the day even more memorable. We celebrate neurodiversity, and Luv Handlz does too. The space makes every child feel seen, supported, and able to have fun comfortably. Luv Handlz is effectively a family friendly frozen yogurt bar- bumping music, a fun person behind the counter, a wall of cold treats, and a counter full of mix-and-match topping options. The pricing is done by cup size and weight. You grab your cup, fill it from the wall, which also lists info such gluten free, dairy free, low fat, etc, with each option. Then it's on to toppings such as fresh berries, boba, gummy bears, crunchy granola, sprinkles, chocolate... just...a lot. And then sauces too! When you pay you have the option to round up and extras goes to a listed charity of your choice. As a thank you the cashier does a fun little dance! Aside from the wall they have froyo milkshakes, floats, and even froyo nachos. For seating Luv Handlz is a great place for everyone to socialize, having a bunch of tables and games in their front area and free arcade games in the back room (where's it's usually quieter too). They have a few tables outside as well. They regularly host events, such as character meet and greets and food truck Tuesdays. I think it's great that they're open until 11pm! For cars there is a small private parking lot and usually ample nearby street parking. Like many Eastwood businesses it is on a bus line. One of the perks of being an adult is that you can decide to eat dessert before dinner, or for dinner if you really want. On a sunny, super warm evening, I decided it was time to try Luv Handelz. Normally, you pay by weigh, which is pretty standard for froyo places. However, today was weightless Wednesday, meaning each small white cup was $5 regardless of weight or toppings. I don't know if this is an every week thing, but if it is, I'll likely be back sooner rather than later. Also, totally indulging in the fantasy that "weightless Wednesday" means that the froyo is calorie free and will have no effect on my diet. :) I was initially confused because upon entering, it's not immediately obvious where the cups are located. For a solid minute, I failed to realize there's another part of the wall to the right of the dispensers that are initially visible, and the cups are at the very end. Maybe have more signage or put the cups in the middle, because I almost had to wait in the line to ask the girl at the counter. I'm not sure if it was just because it was an unusually warm night and a busier day than usual, but the toppings counter (which is within eyesight of the cashier, but self-serve on the customer side) was a tad messy and that was offputting. However, I totally can understand that when there's a rush sometimes things get out of kilter. Willing to overlook this one little thing. On the plus side, there is a HUGE variety of toppings, including unexpected options like rainbow cookies and mochi (had to go for both.) When it was my turn to pay, the cashier was SO SWEET and nice and was making a real effort to be welcoming and hospitable, which definitely improved the experience for me and made me want to come back. The way she was chatting with the customers in line before me made me think they were regulars and this was a nice, communal, neighborhood spot. Top notch customer service. This is a great place to bring kids, as they have a veritable buffet of colorful sugar to load on top of the frozen treats, plus a whole room of arcade games. I went for half green apple half passionfruit, and the froyo was tangy and refreshing. Mochi bits were definitely the right topping choice. I enjoyed my treats outside in one of the deck chairs. (Which only looks out onto their small parking lot and James Street, but still felt nice to be in the sunshine!) This is a pretty sweet spot and a nice place to come if you have kids, or if you happen to be a kid at heart. read more

Easy to spot in the heart of Eastwood a few blocks from The Palace Theater on the same side of the street with plenty of parking in front. We were greeted as we entered. Very clean and spacious inside with fun decor and multiple two flavor creamy yogurt machines and including a twist at each to self serve your chosen sized cup and start your treat. On to the many toppings, crushed and pieces of oh so many candies, fruit gummies and more, even boba beads, then last but not least syrup options hot and cold, and final toppings such as nuts and whipped cream although keeping it low cal and gluten free would require some adjustments but where is the fun in that? I've driven by this place hundreds of times, never realizing it was a frozen yogurt place. We haven't had a chance to get out much this year, but had some extra cash and were already out on James St. so what better time to stop in? I'm way better versed in ice cream than frozen yogurt. I've been to Sweet Frog, but I'm not suited for the standard pay by weight frozen yogurt model. Place more toppings than I ever knew existed in a beautiful self serve set up and then make me fiscally responsible for what I do with it? Genius business idea, but it hurt paying $23.49 for two bowls. We waited about 5 minutes behind the people in front of us before we realized the bowls were available around the corner. I didn't find out til later that the games in the arcade room were free to play either, or I would have tried my hand at some old childhood games. They have I think 5 or 6 ice cream machines loaded up with 2 flavors each. I went with Peanut Butter mostly, but got caught in the mania and added some cheesecake ice cream, grass hopper, cookies and cream, I don't know maybe some others. It was all a blur. I cut myself off at least three times at the toppings station, but it didn't take. You can't tell by the picture (right side), because I covered everything in sauces and started over. All around, it was on par with other frozen yogurt experiences I've had. Both me and my girlfriend can be difficult customers at ice cream places, our orders usually come with a set of instructions. I'd say the experience and the quality is better than most ice cream places, but usually not worth paying nearly twice as much. read more

I came back to Love Handlz the second time and it was even better than the first! I brought a lactose intolerant friend again and they couldn't get enough! It was Valentine's Day too so we got free chocolate covered strawberries! The atmosphere is so great and we had endless fun after our dance party and card games. We rented the party room at luv handlz for my daughter's birthday party. They were fabulous and very accomodating to meeting our needs. The kids had a fantastic time playing all the arcade games and the games in front and of course eating the froyo. Jimmy was a saint and took all of the screaming kids in stride.
