Best lamb in Syracuse. Great for spices and my go to for all middle eastern supplies (hummus, stuffed wine leaves, zattar).

Do they sell Elite brand chocolates? And how about Medjool dates?

They have the dates, not sure on chocolate. I will look the next time I am there. Oasis on Erie Boulevard had medjool dates as well.

The dates I bought weren't terribly good, but everything else was great and I wish I had remembered to grab a tin of dolmas.

With all that said, I finally made my way in. It's small, but mighty. There is a large meat selection and all the sausages looked delicious. They are known for their meatballs, which you can get fresh or frozen, so I grabbed myself a dozen fresh ones. I couldn't wait to make them. I opted to bake them and then put them in my sauce while it cooked for additional flavor, but you can also fry them. They were absolutely delicious. Go grab yourself a dozen, you will not be disappointed.

Today was a frenzy of Pre-Holiday shoppers getting what they needed for their pending celebrations... and I was one of them. Excellent service today. Even though they were slammed with customers queued in line from the counter to the door they took the extra time to pull out a rib roast and cut me 5 steaks as they were down to two within the meat counter. They did this without any hesitation. EXCELLENT service. Even though the check out line mirrored the queue at the meat counter, the cashier never got frustrated, greeted each customer with a cheerful smile and expedited the process. I really appreciate the service and this is why I will be a continuing Ascioti's customer.
