Teresa did the hiring, and she took special care to make sure that the people she hired were personable and friendly. Since this business has changed hands, that service is a thing of the past. The people simply are not as friendly, and to me it's a totally different place. Yesterday I asked them to cut me a steak because I wanted one that was thicker than the ones they had on display. It was only about 4:30 and they do not close until 8:00. They told me that they had already cleaned their saw so they could not cut a steak. That would've never happened under the old ownership. They went out of their way for customer service. I really hoped that it was just some growing pains, but it's been long enough and things aren't getting better. If the new owners don't get a handle on things I'm afraid they're going to lose a lot of business. They've lost mine.

The more important thing to know is that they bake the best Italian bread in the world! You can go in any time of day and pick up a loaf still warm from the oven. The deli counter has all of the traditional meats, but their home-made Italian sausage is the best in Oswego. They supply several of my favorite local restaurants (Canale's) with bread and meats, and its great to be able to buy this stuff fresh for using at home.
