Seemingly in the middle of rural upstate NY is this gem of a restaurant. The server and everyone on the staff that interacted with us were simply lovely! Kind, helpful and joyful. I ordered a turkey melt with onion rings, and my friend had a burger with fried which she claimed was one of the best she had eaten in a long time. Accompanied by "sassy sauce" our fries and onion rings were dipped in this delightful yet spicy accoutrement! My turkey melt was delicious- carved turkey- not slimy cold cuts, cheese and banana peppers were a perfect and delectable combination on lightly toasted bread- simply marvelous! For desert- and they are all lovingly homemade, I had a mixed berry pie with ice cream and my friend had a slice of Dutch apple pie! Both equally and fabulously delicious! We left stuffed to the gills and so glad that we turned the truck around to try this hidden gem! Don't pass it up- stop by- it's worth it!

Which if that's the only complaint it wouldn't have bothered me. The next strike was it took another 45 minutes for our food to come out. Another couple that was behind us to be seated got their food, ate it, and left before we had ours. Then the sausages in our food was so burnt it was discussing. Had all the black burnt pieces all through the food. I kept tasting this food the rest of the day. Never will I go back there again.

She had been here before, so I'm thinking sure why not. We walked in and sat right up at the counter and the gentleman that was working the grill was super friendly. He's basically cooking for the whole restaurant with another guy next to him and yet still found the time to welcome us in and take our order. I got the southwestern omelette that is made with homemade chorizo hash and he asked if I would like some jalapeno chopped up in there to which I said sure why not. Comes with a side of toast and potatoes... My wife gets eggs benedict, and they have a menu item called the Benny extreme which is the same basically but it comes with tomato and spinach, so she opted for this. She also ordered a cinnamon swirl pancake. I'm thinking hey that sounds pretty good, so I asked if I could also have a cinnamon swirl pancake. The gentleman taking our order just kind of looked at me and said are you sure? So now I'm thinking to myself yes yes of course I'm sure I've had pancakes before, some places I go to I get a whole stack of them, I'm thinking I can handle one and I'll use it as like a dessert item. He says okay, smiles, and they prepare our food. Everything tasted wonderful. The hash was excellent, at least I think it was I mean I've never had it before but no complaints. The only surprise I had was the pancake. It was on its own dinner plate. This thing was freaking huge. We could have easily shared one and maybe had leftovers as we also both ordered breakfast in addition to these two monster pancakes. Now please understand I was in no way upset. While it is true my wife could have warned me about the size, and he could have said something as well, it was okay. I still finished everything and most of my pancake. Over all the service was great, like I said this guy was cooking for the whole restaurant and he's still found the time to check on us and made sure our coffee was full. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area however it might be a little while because I live a couple hours away. The only thing I wish I had done that I forgot, when you order toast with your breakfast, the bread is homemade and they sell it by the loaf. White, wheat, rye, they have all of it. I meant to buy a loaf and I forgot. I look at it now though it's just an excuse to go back, and of course to grab another one of those pancakes... The only other thing that I could mention is that the place is a little smaller than I had expected. Everything was nice and clean so that's a bonus however for the business they're doing, and the number of people waiting to get a table, they could use a larger dining room.

My order taker had me bust a gut laughing. The sandwiches looked great and they must bake the bread there though nothing said so. Mine was turkey, aoli, cheese, spinach, and onion on rye. My only ding was that I tasted the bread and the turkey only with the cheese barely showing up. The aoli did not find my taste buds, so I wonder if the locals like their flavors mild. If you go, try their homemade drinks! I had a fascinating fruit drink and we ended up buying more to take home. The dining room is busy, warm and inviting, and a little crowded. When I go back, I will try a specialty hot beverage.
