There isn't a lot you can say about Cutting Board besides FRESH. Everything on their menu is reflective of a healthy, well balanced diet (quinoa "cereal bowls", avocado in abundance, classic contrasts between sweet fruit, lean chicken and turkey meats, and sharper cheeses, interesting dressings), and while not the cheapest place around is by far the best place to go for breakfast or lunch. They're open from 7-2:30 most days (checking before you go is always a good idea), and be warned that in the warmer months they can get pretty busy. With one girl typically behind the counter doing orders for pickups as well as walk ins, sometimes there's a little wait. It can also get hot even with the ac due to the small space and hot equipment, but that's just par for the course. In short, Cutting Board is small deli with big city-style ambience. You get exactly what you pay for: fresh ingredients with a healthy lean, mellow atmosphere, and endless loops of Dave Matthews Band songs. Doesn't get too much better than that.

All we both wanted was the salad bar, so we decided that this didn't matter. We did however watch at least 10 other parties walk back out. After we were seated, we went to the salad bar and noticed that they were out of just about everything. The salad dressings were all empty so when I got back to the table and asked our server for ranch dressing and quickly brought out two plastic containers with dressing. The temperature in the restaurant was very cold, to the point where the people at the table next to us commented that they felt like we were camping and that we should huddle up and build a campfire. When they commented to the server how cold it was, the reply they received was "yeah, I don't know why it's like that". Not I'll turn up the thermostat, just I don't know why it's like that. When we went back up to the salad bar, still nothing had been refilled, but this time I had to go to the bar to ask for dressing. The servers were all huddled at the bar (probably for warmth!). Needless to say, a one star rating was generous based on this visit. Between the heat issue, the grill not working and the fact that they seemed to be out of everything at the salad bar, they would have been much better off closing for the day. People can understand and forgive that. A visit like this, we can't.

Which considering even some of my favorite places in Oswego are barely 3s figured we needed to try. Holy crap! This is actually one of the best chicken tender sandwiches I've ever had. I got the buffalo chicken. The bun was extremely soft, chicken perfect crispy outside but very juicy chicken not dry at all. My kids got chicken tenders and fries. I don't know. It was just crazy. The fries were perfectly crispy. They were not soggy, they were not overcooked. The tenders were amazing. We only make it back a couple times a year to visit family and even my son after the meal mentioned this has to be a place that we visit every time we come back it was that good. I question why we even went to Rudy's yesterday to get them fingers and fries definitely not doing that again. Sticking to the fish and dogs out there from now on. Staff was super friendly and even came around to ask how everything was?! Never get that at McDonalds. It's not even fair to compare this place to fast food. Inside is also nice and clean and appreciated the Buccaneers graphics on the wall, mmm OHS Not to mention a little nostalgia from one of my favorite locations growing up here when it was Friendly's.

Members of…read morethe Giamartino family had operated the Carroll's franchise there, which was one of the last in the country. With several locations all over CNY, Tullys has become best known for their self-proclaimed "Best Chicken Tenders on Earth". The "quick service" fast food style location opened in 2021, simply known as Tully's Tenders, and occupies the former Friendly's Ice Cream location on Bridge Street. This location only serves Tullys famous fried chicken options, both tenders and sandwiches, as meals, salads even mac and cheese bowls. I think most people who have lived in CNY for any amount of time have been to a Tullys at some point. They are a CNY staple, and everyone's had their tenders. My wife and I stopped into Tullys Tenders recently honestly as a last resort. We were in Oswego, hungry, and there wasn't much open at the time by way of food options. As someone's who's been going to Tullys for over a decade, I've felt the restaurants had slipped quality wise over the last couple years, and the frequency I've gone has definitely slowed. But....this location pleasantly surprised me. I dunno what it was, but the tenders were just so much better here than at the full restaurants, and my wife agreed. Perhaps it's just the fact that a smaller, concentrated menu is resulting in more consistent, better quality food coming out, but we both definitely noticed a difference. Employees were very friendly and helpful, even after we had to cancel our original order because my wife panic ordered and changed her mind. This location is a stark contrast from the full restaurants, which have always been dark and dimly lit, but here the inside was bright and clean. They even had a drive through if you just wanna pick up and take it home. I do feel the prices have gotten a little high, but what hasn't over the past couple years? Overall, I'd recommend going for some fresh made, quick serve food and I'd go again if we were in the area. I'd definitely prefer it over the full restaurants.

During my brief time at Fort Drum I couldn't stand eating on post, so I sought out a healthy alternative. This location is conveniently located along a busy thoroughfare in a major commercial district. I walked in went straight to the counter as it wasn't busy. Think of a Chipoltle setup as far as the arrangement of the toppings, but with an emphasis on whole grains and vegetables. They offer a variety of creative bowls consisting of base options such as purple rice, quinoa, and rice noodles, with toppings that include chicken, tuna, and sweet potatoes. Additionally, they have broths, smoothies, and even tacos. Being at peace with my decision, I selected the Buddah Bowl, a delicious assortment of sweet potatoes, spinach, quinoa, black beans, red salsa, and chick peas! It was delicious, hearty, and filling and best of all - it was all for less than $10.

Both a 16 Oz bottle of Coke and a glass of iced tea cost $4 each. $8 for two drinks is a ridiculous price. The food was pricey. The Elvis burger is $22, with fries. The burger was okay, just a little dry. The thinly sliced onion rings were the best part. The fries were covered in large salt crystals so you had to wipe each fry off before you could eat it. Definitely tell the server no salt if you get the fries. The grilled chicken sandwich for $17 was also 'okay'. Chicken was a little dry. The baked beans were very good. Most of the desserts have nuts on them. The desserts without nuts should be on the top shelves in the display case to reduce the possibility of any nuts falling on the ones below. Ideally, they'd be stored separately. Just a friendly head's up for anyone else with nut allergies. For those kinds of prices, the meals should be 'great'. $47 for lunch for two ppl is a lot. These are not prices that have increased because of gas prices or inflation. They've always been a little high. We knew that going in and high prices give high expectations.
