I've been meaning to try the food here for some time, and it was amazing, I should've come here sooner. I came on Sunday for the brunch menu, highly recommend the Brekki pizza, I think Brekki is Icelandish for breakfast, but I'm not sure. If you have James as your waiter or bartender, ask him to do his British accent, it's very good. He's famous for it. read more

We were craving the delicious burgers from Lock 1 so here we are. The kitchen is only open Thursday - Saturday but we heard they are enlarging the kitchen so maybe the hours will change, it's a good idea to call ahead. Friday is the burger special, it has beef and brisket and is juicy and delicious. The bun is always nicely toasted and it comes with cheese, lettuce, onion and tomatoes and fries. The fries are hot and crispy but there was a bit too much salt ( for me), so next time I'll remember to ask for no salt. My friend had no problem with the salt. My friend ordered the soup of the day which was Corn Chowder with Shrimp. It sounded good but I know if I have soup, I can't finish lunch. As soon as they brought out the soup and I had just a spoonful..... I had to get a bowl. Plenty of shrimp and corn , lots of flavor and it was smooth and light and delicious. I am not a fan of chowders that are thick as "pudding". We didn't have any drinks this time, but they have an amazing list of ciders, ales, beers on tap. Went with friends for Brunch and it was an interesting experience. The place was busy, which we expected but somehow our table seemed to get lost in the shuffle along the way. We ordered our mimosa tower and water and got our tower, no water. We waited a while for anyone to come back, and ordered food and water. No water and the food came out slowly one at a time. Asked for water as one of the servers passed by, nope, but the 4th time was the charm. Our food was good overall, no complaints there. Then we had to grab someone for the check and then after waiting as part of the social experiment to see if they cared about our table, no one came back to pick it up, so I went up to the bar and paid the bill. I'm honestly confused as it was my first time there, but my friends have been there before and never experienced that. I'm hoping if you are reading this you take the as a random one off experience and still try for yourself. I'm comfortable saying that given all the very positive reviews that I got unlucky. Decided to take a drive to the Lock 1 for lunch today and it was a great overall experience. Connie the bar tender handled the entire restaurant and made drinks quickly and provided fantastic/friendly service. It was great meeting and speaking with Jim, their GM and local Phoenix expert. Food Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich Was excellent. Extra yummy Crispy chicken breast dipped in a serrano chili & honey sauce topped with pineapple coleslaw on a toasted brioche bun. Served with sweet potato fries & a side of maple brown sugar aioli. Hamburger special was also very good. Nice craft beer and spirits selection. Cosmo excellent. Took home some pizzas for dinner but should have enjoyed them their. Still good. Weirdough with meatball add very good. Garlic butter sauce, oregano, aged mozzarella, dollops of whipped ricotta, sun dried tomatoes, spicy tomato oil, & parmesan. Grandma, pizza with no pepperoni but pulled pork was ok. I mentioned i wasn't big on mushrooms so go lite, but didn't really happen. Spouse said mushrooms were so, so. house red sauce, aged mozzarella, parmesan, pepperoni, sausage, & mushrooms on a Sicilian style herbed crust. Inside has lots of seating with bar and table seating. Lots of private parking. Bought 2 bottles of their booze but note and beware. DO NOT LET THEM ADD IT TO YOUR FOOD BILL. YOU ARE DOUBLE TAXED. Our first time here, we came to see my husband's cousin play his solo gig. The inside was nice and cozy, not too huge but I saw they have a barn like building next door that looks like for more entertaining. There's a few outdoor seating as well. The waitress explained that all their spirits, ciders, beer and wine are all local from NY so thought that was great. I wasn't too hungry so I ordered an appetizer and my husband ordered a sandwich. I ordered the calamari and it was delicious, seasoned and fried well. We would have like if it had a dipping sauce or glazed in something(instead of hot sauce). My husband ordered the spicy crispy chicken sandwich, he loved it. I took a bite and it was good, the sweet and spicy played well together. My husband isn't a huge fan of sweet potato fries, I am so more for me. I loved the maple brown sugar aioli that accompanied it. He said he would order that sandwich again. Overall great place, delicious food and friendly service. We're usually not over this way a lot but will definitely try to make it back to try other items on the menu and their brunch out. read more

Every so often I stop in after a work day out in Radisson to grab a pint and a pizza to take home for dinner. Tried the L1DC pizza which is think crust chicken and sweet pepper. Tasted great, but I wish the crust was crispier. The beer selection is long, but heavily into IPA, DIPA and sours. It's a decent place to wind down after a long week. read more

I've been following their socials for a bit and noticed that they've been throwing some super fun-sounding events. When I saw a self-care Galentine's night crop up, I couldn't resist. There's a parking lot (but beware that backing out can be a bit dicey if it fills up!) The inside is spacious with plenty of tables and seating at the bar. You can peek into the distilling room, which made me wonder if they gave tours. The tables were decorated adorably! The staff was hustling and they were so sweet. They were bustling when we ordered but kindly offered to bring our drinks to our table before we even asked. We went for the boba tea flight special. The taste was very subtle and the tea wasn't super sweet, but it was supposed to be healthy so I think that was intentional. It was refreshing but a bit different than I'd expected. Also ordered an acai bowl. I think this was just for the event? It was PHENOMENAL. So wholesome and delicious. Glimpsed some gourmet-looking grilled cheese on the regular menu, would definitely return to try that. This place is a bit out of the way but it's a nice hangout. read more

This was a fun night out! I had the apple nachos which were crunchy apple slices with Vanilla yogurt, granola, caramel and peanut butter drizzle soo good. The bubble tea flights were interesting as I have never had bubble tea. My companions said usually more bubbles and we all liked two of them for flavor. Offered alcoholic and non which was nice to see. A few got sparkles put in their hair that look subtle but glitter beautifully. Great to have some wintertime fun in all toodreary Syracuse area. Food is excellent, but the real draw is the distillery: amazingly crafted small-batch magic. Quite the myriad of selections to choose from: the Vodka is extremely clean and bright, and the flavored liquors are fun, but the Waldron Cask Bourbon is hands-down the best artisanal bourbon I have had. Service is friendly, polite, and efficient; we were greeted with a smile and a waitress came right over to our table to take drink orders and drop menus. Food was delivered within ten minutes, and everyone in our party was quite pleased. We stopped in on a Wednesday, which ended up being Bike Night so stayed to enjoy the band in their adjacent event space and enjoyed some really tasty creative cocktails. There is a decent amount of seating at the bar and several tables to sit at that are first come first serve. The food is very good and they will have specials as well that have always been good. They have bands frequently and it gets busy during this time. All in all a great place to get drinks and food in a relaxed environment. Last night we chose to try out Thursday Night Trivia at Lock 1. It was very busy with a large crowd. We ordered the meatballs with their signature sauce and they were absolutely delicious! We then tried a specialty pizza, The Weirdough, and it was even better than we expected. The atmosphere was so fun and there were people of all ages enjoying the trivia night. They serve a wide variety of drinks with many of their own in house made options. The bartenders on, Ashley and Ashton were fantastic. They were knowledgable about the menu items and all of the different drinks available. They were so kind and attentive even with such a large crowd! We will definitely be back. Stop by last Sunday to grab a beer and pizza with some friends. I selected a Beer Tree, New England IPA, which was great. However, when I got the bill I saw the price of my beer and was shocked. I questioned our waitress and bartender and manager and all stated that the price was valid at $12.48 for my beer. How can that price be valid, we're in Phoenix, New York, not Manhattan. I've been wanting to check this place out forever. They have limited lunch hours during the week so on this Saturday myself and a bunch of friends went for lunch and drinks. It's very cute inside and I was totally surprised they had craft beer on draft and cans. Many local breweries which is nice and I especially like they had Beer Tree from Binghamton, NY. The waitress was very friendly and allowed our party to try small samples of beer or liquor before purchase which was very nice. We started with 2 charcuterie boards. The meat was very fresh with 2 kinds of cheese with small pita bread triangles, olives, candied walnuts (see photo). We got 2 different pizzas: Grandma and Philly Cheesesteak. The grandma had a deep dish herbed crust which I loved. The Philly cheesesteak was a thin crust and was different but in a good way. I also had in addition to the beer the buttery old fashioned. This was so tasty! I tried several samples of the liquor and all was good. I think the peppermint whiskey would be great at Christmas. My friends had drinks and they all loved them also. By the time we left the place was packed. They only had 2 waitresses and they had to make the drinks and bring out the food. They could use another waitress especially on busy days. What a fun discovery on my last trip to the Fulton/Syracuse area. I had a pizza, which as exceptionally good, and a cocktail made with their butterscotch whiskey. If you don't like your drinks too sweet, make sure to let them know. The is a local gem with friendly service and great tasting food. The menu may seem simple but the flavors are well crafted and cooked with care and love. Our table shared the fried ricotta balls, arugula prosciutto pizza, charcuterie board and chicken empanadas. The portions were generous and everything tasted better than any bar food I've ever had. We happened upon trivia night and the ambiance was lively. This was our first time here but we can't wait to come back next time we're in town. It's now one of our favorite spots. read more

Lock 1 distillery is a great place to grab food and drinks! We also love their liquor at home. Our favorite Christmas cocktail is mixing their candy cane whiskey with bailey's. The pizza is delicious. I'm also a big fan of their loaded salt potatoes. Most times we've been there the service has been good. The last time we were there was a Friday night. They have a small kitchen and limited staff so it took us around an hour and a half to get our food. This absolutely would not deter me from going again. We haven't had to wait that long before, I'd just be mindful of when you go. If you're in a rush I'd avoid peak times. Overall I would recommend making the trip out there and looking for their products in your local liquor stores. read more

Gave this place a second chance because a good musical talent was playing there. I love the atmosphere and the people are very friendly, but the service once again is absolutely horrible. I "stood in line" (and by line I mean behind one other couple) for 18 minutes to order two beers. Before that my GF waited about 15 minutes for two Bloody Mary's which tasted like watered down tomato juice. This place has so much potential if they could just get good bartenders! Update: Not on yelp much so I just saw the retort to my review. Given the feedback from owner that they are "open to constructive criticism" yet criticized me for giving a yelp review and called it "cowering behind the internet" is laughable. I was honest about my experience... BOTH times and each time your bartenders were horrible. The fact you were busy makes no difference if you're not staffed properly. I also did talk to you personally while I was there but you must be too busy to remember. read more

I went here once, and it surely will not be my last time! This little gem surely surprised me, my fiancé and I have driven passed several times, have always wanted to stop in, you cannot miss it, as the building itself is bright red. Obviously, we did, and we're so glad to have done so. My fiancé and I met his boss here for a few rounds. They had live music that played for quite a while. The atmosphere was modern, clean, and very comfortable. There was seating both at the bar and at tables. The drink selection was immense-- as one would probably imagine. That night, which, I can only assume these are seasonal cocktails, I had two of the apple pie something or others, a shot of their version of fireball (oh, so smooth, and the alcohol content was great) and one s'mores martini. They do not short you here, if you take advantage of the drink deals as well and pace yourself, you can come out feeling like it was well worth the money. This place is good for people who like to drink gasoline to a light cocktail. They have it all here.
