Wildcat wings
Roberto S.

Met some family here for a post Christmas get together. We had a bunch of us so we ordered a few different pies and wings. We ordered a cheese and a fragola (picture below). Flavor of both pies were good. Both of them were a bit greasier than I prefer. We tried two flavors of wings as well. The flavors were wildcat sauce and the mild. I will say the wildcat sauce was excellent. Can't tell exactly what they are but they are worth getting. The mild were solid. It was a Saturday and Syracuse football was playing so it was busy. Even with the craziness the service was pretty quick. The food came quick and the bartenders were great at getting us drinks quickly. This place is huge and there are a ton of tables and a large bar. Prices are reasonable. I would go here again.

Today was a birthday celebration for a family member. I was invited over to eat dinner and have dessert. Who did they order from??? The Wildcat Sports Pub !! That's my jam! Pizza two nights in a row for me? I guess I can force it down. . Not helping my diet goals. So they ordered two 18" pizzas. A sausage and mushroom, and a cheese pizza. True NYC size and style. Top 5 pizza (still) in the area. ( That I've had ) Check out my topping creation (pic). I sautéed some beef, shrimp, garlic, and onion to top a cheese slice. Surf and turf if you will. Also added my half hot pepper blend of Hungarian peppers, portobellos, fresh garlic, and red onions. Gave it a nice after bite kick! They also ordered some boneless wings, and their top 3 flavor regular Wildcat wings. Wildcats were voted tops in the Battle of the Wings in Syracuse. Get em chargrilled. Bumps it up a notch. Great flavor profile! The WingDings I'm not a fan of. Not that I ever order them from anywhere either. I expected a chunk of chicken breaded. It was more of a ground and processed chicken. Nothing to compare it to. Dessert consisted of some Crumbl cookies. They were all unique. 3 sweet and one just chocolatey. Thick cookies that had some density to them. Moist as well. Not at all "Crumbl-y". Which is a good thing. First time trying them. About $15 for a box of 4. The Wildcat in Camillus has top 5 pizza and wings in the area. I have said it many times in different reviews. Love the people and the place. The Crumbl cookies were good enough to get again. Gotta Check em Out!!

Buffalo Chicken Calzone

We both had undercooked dough. The bartender was missing or eating the whole time. Place is beautiful inside and the owner is an awesome dude... lately the food needs an upgrade though. 55$ for 4 beers & 2 calzones is also kind of expensive. Should've just got the 2 slices for 5$ deal. Pro tip: The home made blue cheese is SO GOOD. It was 2pm on a Tuesday... might've just been timing.

This is one of my favorite hometown spots for drinks and food. The staff is very efficient and knowledgeable. The food and beer are always great. I also love ordering to go from here as well if I don't feel like staying out highly recommend checking this spot out.

There's a general understanding that when you go to establishments that are primarily bars that you don't get the best of food. I have a big exception here. Went to go watch a band with a friend of mine the other night. We went a little early to grab dinner. Perusing the menu something caught my eye, the Turkey chipotle Panini. The Panini comes toasted with red peppers, cheese and chipotle sauce. Maybe one of the best Panini's I have ever had! To start, the Panini was toasted to perfection. We love that. There was a good amount of sliced turkey. The tangy, but not too overpowering chipotle sauce was terrific. Melted cheese on top and sweet red peppers finished it off. You get a choice of sides if you don't want the chips. The choices include regular fries, sweet potato fries, or onion rings. The sweet potato fries were OK the onion rings were very good. PS. The band playing at night was the horn dogs. They are a fun crowd engaging band. They have a new singer and she is terrific

I've always noticed this place, but always just assumed it was just a sports bar. The more I listened, the more I started hearing this name come up in discussions about the best pizza. It's weird how much credit I have to give them for being open on Mondays, but that's actually what ended up bringing us here for the first time. First of all, the place is huge on the inside. It seems like a great environment to hang out with a party of any size. They have tons of slices available up front. I've never been to a bar that doubles as an excellent pizzeria, but what an awesome idea. I should mention though that my experience here has been take-out only. On our first visit, we got a pepperoni, along with some spicy ranch and bbq wings. They make an amazing New York style pizza. Floppy and just the right amount of greasy in the middle, floury crispy (but not crunchy) in the crust. The only complaint we had was the slicing was terrible. The slices didn't meet in the middle, and while they didn't sever all the way, they did manage to cut into the box, fusing the cheese into the cardboard. I wish they put something down between the pizza and the cardboard. Super annoying, but just a technical error. The wings were absolutely amazing. The perfect execution we got here is why we always go for charbroiled. A very crispy layer outside a very meaty, tender wing. We loved the spicy BBQ, though we wished it was spicier. We spent a long time going back and forth between the BBQ and Ranch flip flopping on our favorite flavors before settling for a tie. Amazing flavors, amazing wings. This is the only place I've ever seen do "market price" for wings, but frankly I don't even know or care what we paid for them. Today we ordered Buffalo chicken pizza and chicken riggies. The pizza was cut fine, and was different from most buffalo chicken pizzas we've had elsewhere. It seems like they used garlic pizza and topped it with pieces of buffalo chicken. It was incredibly moist, with almost a creamy base. The cheese on this one as so extremely stretchy, you could chew it forever. I absolutely loved it, but it took a brief adjustment period to get used to it. The only thing I would advise against is the chicken riggies. Similar to pizza, you can't have bad chicken riggies, only forgettable pasta. They had very little sauce, and I could be wrong, but it seemed like it was just regular red sauce. No sign of cherry peppers, definitely no cream, none of the signature parts from the dish. This is the kind of pasta you would make in a big disposable tin and bring to your neighbor's graduation party. With all the power vested in me as a wannabe chicken riggies snob, I decree they should change the name from "Chicken Riggies" to "Rigatoni with Chicken and Red Sauce". In summary, they're on our top ten without a second thought. I might say top five, but I'd have to crunch the numbers.

Not the best experience I've ever had Let me start with the positive. The onion rings. Excellent......however...extremely disinterested staff I stood at the ordering station for 5 minutes before anyone came There were three of them. I understand being busy but no greeting or acknowledgement just to let you know they're aware. Ordered onion rings and a ginger ale I was handed a plastic container with not a word of instruction. When I finally worked out the machine, it didn't even offer ginger ale. Not that I could find, anyway. Excellent onion rings but no dip, ketchup, southwest dip. Nothing. I don't think I'll make a special effort to come back. It might be OK for young folk with no expectations but if you're looking for somewhere with a little bit of class, this isn't it. You'd think she might of mentioned it!!

Always tasty and a perfect place to enjoy trivia with a group of friends. I've tried the nachos, fries and gluten free pizza and have loved them all!

Chipotle Turkey ~ Sliced turkey breast, cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers & chipotle mayo

I've been to The Wildcat many times. I've always been a fan of their pizza and a sandwich called the Retriever which is a grilled sandwich with hot roast beef, sautéed onions and melted cheddar cheese. I highly recommend the retriever. It is awesome! For this togo order I decided to bring home a large cheese pizza, Chipotle Turkey grilled sandwich, a cheeseburger with some unique fries (if you call them that) and an order of wings tossed with hot sauce and another with bbq sauce. Like I said above, I do enjoy their pizza. It is a New York City style Neapolitan thin crust pie. Has a good fold with a nice bite and chew. I do prefer this regional style pizza more than a "Syracuse style" Twin Trees type. Maybe that's the Jersey roots in me. The chicken wings were a nice size. Good amount of meat and cooked well. The sauces were wing sauces that I would expect from a pizza place. I will give credit to their salt and pepper wings. Didn't order them this time but have enjoyed them tremendously in past orders. My wife had the Grilled Chipotle Turkey sandwich with cheddar cheese, roasted red peppers and chipotle mayo. We both enjoyed it. Great flavors and the perfect amount of ingredients sandwiched between the the roll that never fell apart. My grilled burger was a nice alternative to many of the flattop/smash burgers that are hitting the rounds right now. It was cooked to my liking, juicy and came with fresh toppings. The Kaiser bun held up until the last bite. The fries were not what you would expect you would get on the side of a pub like burger. They were thick and twisty. Not crispy but they weren't made to be. Fluffy potato in the inside. The Wildcat is known to be very committed to their community in the town of Camillus. Hence their name "Wildcat", which is the nickname of the school districts sports teams. Inside the restaurant is huge and industrial looking. A very long bar that almost goes the length of the whole dinning area. High top tables and chairs along with normal sized tables were scattered throughout. They also have the storefront next door attached for parties and bands. Though I do like watching the high pace action of their expansive open kitchen. I do like a more intimate/smaller building to enjoy my food in. But to each their own. Great sandwich options on the menu and fantastic pizza keeps me coming back for more take out!

Been a few years so we went back. Glad we did. Chicken bacon ranch pizza, wildcat wings (mix of a bunch of sauces chargrilled and drizzled with ranch) and a deli Turkey sandwich with fries. All very good. Expensive pizza and wings, but good. We will be back.

We were greeted warmly by the bartender who was taken care of a few patrons at the bar. We grabbed menus and sat down at a separate area where the dart boards are. They had an up charge for fries over potato chips but I was in the mood for fries and it was reasonable $1.99. The sandwich was huge and I especially liked that the bun was toasted and crisp. The meat was not over cooked and the cheese was melted with the peppers and onions underneath. The fries looked pale but they were cooked and lightly salted. The cook brought the food out to us which was a nice touch. They checked on our table several times to make sure we were ok. My lunch mates had hamburgers which they really liked.
