I haven't been to this bar/restaurant for years!!! I went for lunch with my girlfriend last Wednesday. This building has been here since 1890 and is so charming inside. I love the bar area and the tin ceilings. The bartender was also our server and she was very attentive. I ordered the chicken riggies "hot". The heat was good and the sauce very creamy. The garlic bread that was served with it was just a grilled roll that was over cooked. I've had better chicken riggies in Syracuse but these were decent. Hi, We are enjoying our Summer and can't believe August is two days away! like Nibs'y's Pub on Tipperary Hill is a friendly neighborhood bar scene with exceptional service n good food, especially the pizza! Couldn't tell what time I went in when it wasn't crowded, but we didn't manage to find a seat. The bartenders takes your order for the kitchen then delivers it to your table.. We noticed food specials listed at the one end of the bar n along with quite an extensive menu. There was plenty of parking across from the place too. The womens restroom needs to be mentioned bc mirrors are set up so you can see the back of your head. This is really nice and I think a woman may have had something to do with that design! There's a door off the bar area to a small outdoorpatio but chose indoors to watch the baseball game. So if you like to watch a game, good food, great prices n don't mind a neighborhood bar scene crowd check it out! read more

Parochial pinhead bar full of plump piggy faced patrons...,many of them I suspect have never left 5 miles outside of Syracuse. This joint has great wings if you are out on the west side of town (crisp). Outside of that, it's probably an economical way to watch UCONN basketball in Syracuse (hahah...just getting you locals riled up...). It's a solid spot if you need to satiate your wing craving, but not a neck stretch as a destination unless you have a reason to be on the west side of Syracuse. read more

I have been going to this place for 30 years- my favorite pub/restaurant in town. This is my go to place with my family and friends and has been for a long time. I'm going to be blunt- this place stinks! The nachos were cold, the wings came to the table and 4 of the 10 were the end of the bag wings; the little leftovers, and they were cold. The food here use to be great and now it is awful. What a shame- I loved this place. The bartenders have the personality of a frog and this place has gone to waste. I came in with my boyfriend and was there for about two minutes at the bar to put in an order of wings until the supposed owner turns over to both of us and starts the conversation with "Hey, I just want to say to you guys to keep the gay shit out of here. Excellent Irish Pub/Tavern. Very nice interior and also a great trivia night every Tuesday starting at 8:00pm as of 2/01/2017. The Trivia night host we had was very entertaining with an awesome Irish accent. Easily one of the best trivia nights we have been to since joining Syracuse trivia and rotating from bar to bar each week we are able to. Nibsy's also have great food, and even without a happy hour their drink prices are very reasonable and well worth it. * Bartender was great as well. Friendly, attentive, and fast service. read more

Just got back from watching a football playoff game there. It was only my first time, but I'll definitely be going back. My boyfriend and I shared the 10" pizza/ 6 wings combo. The pizza was delicious; crispy chewy crust and generous toppings and everything seemed fresh. For a "personal" pizza they didn't skimp on quality or quantity. The wings were finger-lickin' good. We were first-timers and weren't feeling too hungry, but next time we'll definitely be getting the full cheese pizza and 24 wings combo (a crazy deal for $19!) For only $9.50 we got all that tasty food. My boy also got a beer and we stayed under $15 total for awesome food and got to watch the game on a big screen. They have ample seating and multiple (I think 4) LCD screens. This is a great sports bar, we'll definitely be back for March Madness and NBA playoffs. Since it was my first time, I'm giving it 4 stars, but I'll award the 5th for consistency when I go back again. Not bad for a first impression, Nibsy's. read more

It is the most fun on the days there are Irish events on Tipp Hill such as Green beer Sunday, Shamrock Run, St Patricks Church Irishfest, etc. This is the place to go when you are sick of the crowds and all you're looking for is to enjoy your company and drink! They have a twisted tea barrel on draft which is amazing. Very small outdoor seating. They have the music player that you can download the app on your phone and pay & play music from there. For a Irish pub, it's not. The bar staff needs to be replaced or have a major retraining in customer service. There were 4 of us and we sat/stood at the end of the bar. She never looked at, or even recognized our presence for almost 10 minutes. She was talking to what I assumed was a boy friend, oh bye the way was not eating or drinking your products, and totally ignored paying customers. After several minutes we asked for her and she displayed "her displeasure" that we interrupted her! This is not a typical Tipp Hill pub. Much better choices in the neighborhood. The food was okay, almost. The chowder was good but served cool. They nuked it and it was fine. The breading on the fish was heavy for our taste, but the fish was good. They were out of coleslaw, part of the meal, but didn't bother to tell us or offer a substitute. What Nibsy's really lacked was service. We were the only diners for a late lunch (2:00 PM) and the waitress made us feel like we were imposing on her personal time. She visited our table twice. Once with the menu and later with the bill. I walked to the bar to place our order and the cook brought our food to the table. The waitress didn't bother to know or tell me all of the beers available on tap. There were not that many. I selected a very average beer from the choices she offered, but learned, on one of several trips to the bar to get some attention, that they actually did have other beers on tap. One was a decent IPA I wish I had had with my meal. I will not return to Nibsy's Pub. read more
