So Tully's is what Tully's is. It's a local sports bar famous for the tenders. I like them. They're good. I've been eating them practically my whole life. I've been to this restaurant countless times across my 31 years and the experience has always been good. I recently visited again when a friend from out of town came home. Everything was fine- save for one thing that still boggles my mind. I ordered ten tenders. Our friendly waitress asked me if honey mustard was okay- I said yes, but actually, can I do half the tenders regular and half buffalo? I was met with a decisive no. We can't split orders. Is this some sort of joke? How long have y'all been in operation? It's absurd that I can't get 5 regular 5 Buffalo and not have that be any sort of issue? I had to order ANOTHER ten tenders to get my desired outcome. 45 dollars in tenders later I was satisfied. Why are the buffalo tenders 2.00 more? Cause you use how much sauce? Get real. I think this place is overrated. I ordered the Asian Tender Bowl and the sauce on the tenders was very good. However, the tenders have A LOT of breading. I've been craving Tullys and this experience made me never want to go again. There were about 4 tables there and it took 15 minutes to get any service, only two servers seemed to be working (8pm on a Sunday..). The popcorn was cold and stale. The pretzels were actually delicious, warm and chewy, but as you can see in the picture the cheese looks like it's been sitting so long that a film has grown across the top, gross. The meals took way too long based on the amount of people there, my tenders tasted as if they were soaked in grease all day before given to us and my partners buffalo tender melt was cold (somehow). Placed the order and was told it would be ready in 15 minutes. Tenders were done on time and by the time they were brought back, they were a little on the cold side. That's probably on us. The tender dinner included six strips of tenders, coleslaw, one blue cheese, and one honey mustard. Asked for a second blue cheese, but they must've kept that one there with them. Tenders were good. My favorite spot is at the bar in the corner the best service but minimal interactions with patrons after a long day. This location never disappoints me. When you have the sauce choice it will be the hardest decision to make but RANCH all the way! They make their sauces in house and they are spectacular. I usually get the tenders but ever since I tried it, now I can't stop eating the chicken bacon ranch sandwich. The piece of chicken is so big, I cut it in half and bring the other half home. So good. My husband and I decided to give this a try after trying Tully's honey mustard, which we bought at Wegman's. We came in on a Thursday night around 6PM and had about a 20 minute wait to be seated. The place was packed, but people were moving in and out. It was decorated with a lot of Syracuse sports memorabilia and televisions. I liked it. The table we were seated at was clean. Can't complain. Our waitress quickly came over and brought us popcorn and asked for our drink order. The popcorn was salty, but honestly, I love that. My husband and I split an appetizer order of chicken tenders (plain). They come with fries and honey mustard. They make great tenders. Like really great tenders. Perfect amount of batter, the chicken was moist and it paired great with their honey mustard, which is really good. For entree, I had a cheeseburger, which also came with fries. I like the fries. Were they stand out? No. But they were good and didn't detract from the dish. I actually really enjoyed my burger - I'm not sure if it's because it's been a while since I had one or not, but this one was pretty good. No complaints. My husband had the 10oz. steak, which he ordered medium. It was cooked perfectly and tasted exactly as it should. His dish came with mashed potato's and coleslaw. The slaw was good, a little on the sweeter side (I prefer tangy), but again it was good. I think the biggest miss of the night was the mashed potato's. There wasn't much flavor to them at all. Sara is the best Tully's tender of the bar! Tender, a bit saucy, very good, and fun! Our group of 6 came for pre-St Patricks parade participation libation. Had a great time and were totally pumped with Sara and the other patrons promising to watch for us after tuning into the parade channel. I have to be truthful and say I am not a fan of Tully's and I have never been one. I would never pick to come here and this continues to be true after this trip. We went to celebrate my niece's 5th birthday and this was picked because it is simple and was close to great grandma's home. There was a large group of us and we called ahead of time but they didn't save a table for us and then they wanted to put us at high top tables despite the fact that it was clear that half of our group was older and great grandma is in her 90's. We would up sitting in separate tables with the majority of the group at tables pushed together and 6 of us in a booth next to the other table so that if we wanted to chat we basically had to yell to eat other. Also, we did not fit in the booth, we just smooshed in to not have to get another table and separate more. Our wait staff was good and patient with having so many of us and I never felt like I needed anything that I had to wait for the waitress. I got the French onion soup and I split a salad with my mom. They were okay, nothing that set them apart from anywhere else. My husband got buffalo wings and said the sauce was lacking. My dad got the pulled pork mac and cheese and ate it but I don't think it was his favorite. Overall it was just an eh trip, they always are. I would never pick to come here and I would probably bow out if a friend suggested a meal here but I can't turn down a 5 year old so if she says so, this is where I will go and I will figure something out to eat and just know I will leave unsatisfied. Okay, so keep in mind this is not a bistro...very much geared toward families. I don't recommend for a romantic date night. The only reason for a less than 5 star rating is because the restaurant environment itself is dark, cramped and tired, even for a family restaurant. Staff are nice and helpful. The chicken tenders are really some of the best I've ever had and the honey mustard dipping sauce is heavenly. It seems like everyone loves the tenders, regardless of age. My husband ordered the smokehouse burger and loved it. Prices are pretty reasonable for what you get. I see why Tully's is so popular, even for the most finicky eater, there is definitely something on the menu for all to enjoy. The restaurant was quite quiet and we were seated immediately and told a server would be right with us.15 minutes went by and we were not acknowledged. Another server working in the same area actually looked and made eye contact and did nothing. Because we had our young son with us and were on our way home from the fair, we left without being served out of frustration. Again, we do not live locally but had previously ate at another Tully's location in the Syracuse area with great food and service. We were excited to eat at Tully's again, but due to poor service we were disappointed. When talking with a relative in the area, it was mentioned that their family does not go to this location any longer due to poor service and lesser quality food.
