This is a great place for a family or a big group. I had the 6 cheese Mac and cheese that was one of the best Mac and cheeses I have ever had. The smoked Gouda in it was to die for. I went after a sporting event with the whole team. They were so accommodating with a great number of tables and a good area. The ambiance was great with nice booths and chairs. The servers were very nice to everyone and the big amount of people.

It was eh? Not horrible, Not great. I honestly don't understand the hype. The burgers are bland aside from sauces, The glasses have way too much ice, The fries are thin and weird so they get hard fast, And they don't say it's smoked Gouda they just say Gouda and there's a difference. I'd rather make my own burger. The waitress was okay when she was around and the lighting is kind of dark too.

Not a super long wait about 20 min on a Tuesday at 6pm. Wait staff took a bit longer than expected today take our drunk order. Water and soft drinks got to our table quick but took way too long for the beers to get there (about 10 min later). Ordered our food and that took way too long. One order jambalaya and 20+ min after ordering we were told they were out of rice and could they use pasta for the jambalaya. The rest of the meals had obviously been done and waiting as they were obviously not fresh when getting to the table. The fish fry coating had gotten really bad and the pizza was not hot. Fish tacos were more like fish quesadillas but tasty. The pizza was the honey bee chicken and has a great taste and crust was perfectly cooked. I'd like to think the bad parts were a fluke from being busy but how do you run out of rice?

It wasn't bad, but I probably would not go again. The service was good; we were sat right away, and drink orders placed quickly. Drinks came promptly, and our food orders as well. They have a wide range of meal and drink options, with most items sounding appetizing. My husband and I both got lavender drinks; him a lavender marg, and I a lavender lemonade. They were very syrupy, which made it hard to finish the drinks, even though they the flavor was great. We got garlic bread as an app, and it was much more greasy than one would expect. But it was still very tasty. Only down side was that the grease weighted down our stomachs, so it was hard to finish the entrees. Dinner was very good; I had the six cheeses mac n cheese, and Ryan got fish n chips. Both were a good portion for the price, which is always nice. Again, it wasn't a bad experience! I just wasn't blown away/ i didnt feel that I need to go back in the future.

Copper Top never disappoints for martinis and apps or a meal. Pomegranate martini is my go to, though I did try to order the winter Christmas martini but was told they were out of ingredients. Friendly, attentive bar service. Avocado egg rolls for our app though we considered late night menu that offers some discounted appetizers. Avocado egg rolls for the win. Though I thought the avocado was a bit chunky this batch, I prefer my egg rolls ingredients to be more blended. Large bar area with many televisions for games and sport events. Back dining room has fireplace, though I prefer the bar ambiance. Hopefully they decorate for the holidays. I love the vast choices of the menu. Copper Top catered the Christmas Shoppes VIP event we came from. Ziti, Chicken Crispers, French Onion Soup Dip, and meatballs. Another festive visit, will be back for some holiday cheer!

My family and I visited yesterday, all from different parts of the state; Rochester, Syracuse and the Kingston area. We were a party of seven, and greeted promptly upon arrival. Rachel was our server and she was great! We tried all different kinds of things and even saved room for a dessert to share. The food was delicious and service great. We were seated in a long booth near the bar, so I was concerned about the noise level, but it wasn't an issue at all. I would definitely recommend it.

I've always enjoyed Coppertop and have lots of great memories of taking the kids when they were younger. They loved the pizza and the pasta dishes. The service was excellent, Maddy was great giving us time to look over the menu, answering questions about items and checking in during our meal. My friend got cheese pizza which looked amazing and she really enjoyed it. I ordered the swordfish which came with broccoli and rice. It was a somewhat overcooked but the flavor was very good.

Put our name on the waitlist yesterday and was told it'd be about 20-25 minutes. After waiting for about 45 minutes, we reached out to the hostess for an update on our place in line and were sad to hear we'd been removed from the queue due to a system error. It happens and we understood, so we waited it out at the bar and after an additional 20 minutes we were seated in the back dining room. We started with the French onion fondue (not pictured because we immediately dug in) which was fabulous. We're thinking we'll use the leftovers for burgers or something- so so good. Both of our chicken dishes were really delicious- with the hot honey sandwich being my favorite. It was drenched in that spicy sweet goodness, and came with a stacked side of fries. The food made up for the wait and the service was really wonderful. Great spot for lunch or dinner- or a martini!!!

Last night for our girls night out we decided to stopped in here. Everything we had tasted great, my friends had avocado egg rolls, fish tacos(to me it was more of a quesadilla shape wise) and margherita stone fire pizza. I had the kung pao noodles. We all enjoyed everything we had and our drinks of choice were strawberry basil martini, blueberry burst martini and I had the black cherry mojito. Service was good and attentive. Dine in or takeout I've never had a bad meal here. I have never been to this particular location, but was really impressed with my visit. This place is huge and the parking lot was super crowded at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Despite the number of cars in the lot, we entered and were seated by a very lovely young lady Who walked us to a table in the back dining room. We were promptly greeted by our waitress who took our drink order. The menu is so extensive that it is difficult to figure out what you want to order. I narrowed it down to three things promising myself I would make a decision when the waitress returned. I ordered an ahi tuna bowl which was the right decision because it was absolutely delicious and fresh. I wasn't sure the salsa would go with the ball, but everything was perfect. The beer was cold and the food was cold just as I ordered it. During our meal, the manager came over and insured our satisfaction. The waitress delivered the bill with a satisfaction rating card. This place tries really hard and delivers. Everyone we interacted with was upbeat and lovely. Will definitely be back.

Had time to kill before a movie and given Movie Tavern doesn't really do food anymore we figured we'd stop for dinner first. On arrival the parking lot was packed and we thought we'd be waiting awhile. We were seated immediately and were waited upon promptly. We happened to arrive during their happy hour which had 6 items at a discounted price of 9.99. We ordered the truffle oil fries with a side of garlic aioli. The portions were huge. There was so much we ended up taking the rest to go so we could enjoy our entrees and the flavor is great if you are a fan of truffle. MY GF grabbed a whole pizza which was also on the 9.99 happy hour menu thinking it would be small for the price. It was a full 8 slice pizza probably between 12 and 14 inches and had both mozzarella and Romano cheese and tasted great. I got the jerk Jamaican wings which were served with a Santa fe ranch which tasted like ranch with a bit of a kick. I was expecting the wings to be a dry rub but they were sweet and juicy and very good. We saw tons of things on the menu we'd like and while we aren't local we would definetly go back the next time we are in the area.

I went to CopperTop tavern as a solo diner and received great service. I had the best sangria of my life- not to exaggerate but that apple cider sangria was perfect for fall with lots of flavor and was absolutely amazing! I had the truffle fries which I enjoyed immensely and have a new favorite appetizer. I enjoyed the white chicken chili as well but the truffle fries were my absolute favorite.

We all know Mondays can be tricky for eating out, and we decided on Copper Top this week. We thought we'd have to wait, but we were sat immediately. Service was very friendly and efficient, and our server Darian did a great job of keeping our drinks full and empty dishes off the table. We all shared the hummus, and although t I didn't get a picture of it, please believe me when I say it was to die for! It had bruschetta on top and the pita had a garlic seasoning on it. So yummy! My mom and I shared a Thai peanut noodle dish and a Chinese chicken salad. Both were flavorful and the portions were generous. I went home with leftovers for both and I www fed for a whole extra meal. Another person in our party got a bang bang pasta dish and enjoyed it - again, large portions! The drink menu looked great but we weren't up for it that evening. Looking forward to going back and trying their variety or martinis. The restaurant was clean and nicely lit, however the music was a little loud. Dinner came out to about $70 for all of us before tip. read more

We've eaten here a bunch - mostly due to proximity and lack of other options. The food is wildly inconsistent; sometimes, we're surprised at how good a dish is (usually a special or seasonal dish), but if we order it again, it's never the same. The biggest issues: - Many things seem to have a lot of oil involved. From the side vegetables to the burgers to the "garlic bread" served on the side of the pasta dishes - there's a strong, oily taste. It's not a pleasant oil - my guess is it's ostensibly neutral, like a vegetable or canola, though it leaves a flavor that suggests it's not entirely neutral. Perhaps a fake butter? Why it's so ubiquitous is anyone's guess, but it leaves an unpleasant film in your mouth. While I understand restaurants use a lot more oil/butter than home cooking (it's often why we like restaurant food better), this oil is not good. - The fries. I guess some people like them; I loved shoestring fries as a kid, but these aren't the same. They have no flavor (aside from the aforementioned oil), and they're the consistency of McDonald's fries, but drier and harder. Recently, we got an order that came with a new, more traditional style fry, and they were so good. We were excited that they finally ditched the cardboard variety but that apparently was a one-off - today showed that they seemed to revert to the old style, unfortunately. - They had an amazing chicken bacon ranch pizza for a while, until one day when it was gone. I think the secret was smoked Gouda, but whatever they used, it was a great pizza. When it disappeared from the menu, I inquired and was told, "oh yeah, lots of people are asking for that." So I said, "is it coming back, then?" I was told it's "doubtful," which kinda sums up my experiences there. Everyone loved it and wants it back? Better get rid of it, then. - The kids menu options are somewhat insulting to children. The "grilled cheese" uses what appear to be hamburger buns, so carelessly made that they seldom match up (that is, the top will be skewed off so the sandwich isn't put together). The kids pasta dishes are just plain noodles, usually undercooked, with no seasoning (i.e. salt) or other attention to preparation. The inconsistency is really the biggest issue for me. Things range from "fine" to "bad," but even if you stick with one menu item, you don't know what you're going to get. Non-chain, family-friendly restaurants are seemingly hard to find in this area, so I really wish they were better. We've kept at this place far longer than we probably should, again due to convenience, and because every now and then, a dish will be surprisingly good. However, those instances are becoming so rare, I think we're done for a good while. I do hope they improve. read more

The stone fired pizzas at Copper Top are the best in Onondaga County, and that's saying a lot since there are hundreds of pizza shops and Italian restaurants in the area. I will never need to try other places again. read more

Best place I've eaten in ages and I do a lot of eating out and about. The menu was full of interesting things. I would like to go back and try. I had the Cobb salad which two days later I am still working my way through. The service was beyond perfect, and we were a group of old ladies with lots of demands! If a place was a little bit closer to my area, I would be a regular at the restaurant. It was a terrific surprise on a beautiful day. read more

Son took us out and after being seated the near empty restaurant had very few servers . Food took a long time to arrive . Mine was inedible . Three of my dine friends felt the same way . 80 plus tip and had to flag down a server Stay away from this chain . Money is supposed to be able to dine out read more

I'll never get the fish haddock sandwich and fries here again, it was cold and stale. Portion of the filet fish was very small and didn't even taste good. Also was expensive, doesn't even include coleslaw. Ordered on Grubhub, delivery. read more

I've been going to Coppertop for years. It's our go-to restaurant for amazing food and cocktails. My favorite cocktail so far is the honey lavender cosmo. Their pizza is amazing and they have a pizza punch card. It's a great family restaurant. The seats on the booths are ample. The decor is coppery! The ceiling is a cool copper design. Food is very traditional pub. Food service can take a while depending on what day or what time of the year you come in but most of the time they are really helpful and really nice and willing to get your order out as quickly as possible and one time they brought my dad a rare burger, and he would like, and the manager comped his burger and brought him a new one that was cooked better even though it was kind of busy in there you still rented that that's what I like. The ambience is very much of a pub sports bar kind of place. read more

If you're looking for lunch or dinner, this is a great spot. I love coming here for drinks, pizza, salad, burgers and soup. All of the food I've tried here has been great. There is plenty of table seating; there are also lots of seats at the bar too. I can't wait to come back here again soon. read more

Sat at the bar and had a great, friendly bartender. Tried a flight of various IPAs. We ordered the BBQ Chicken Pizza ( nice size and great flavor) and a French Onion Burger ( also delicious). I have not been to this copper top in a few years but I have had it catered at my job multiple times and it's always good. I finally made it out to eat things were fairly priced my appetizer and full pizza was no more than $30. My waitress was very nice and checked on us a good amount of time. Everything was even better sitting down in house. (P.s. I'm not a fan of onions unless they are frizzled or the texture of the onion is changed but decided to try and overcome things and I enjoyed the dip very much even though it did have a lot of tiny onion pieces in it) read more

Had a amazing experience tonight. One of their new items was the steak Al Carbon , The seasoning and tenderness was absolutely incredible! My 97 yr old mom had the tomahawk pork chop which was so delicious! It was so big , mom will get 3 meals out of it! Our waitress Madison Y explained the specials in such great detail, we knew we made the right choice . I will definitely be back with friends and family next time we visit!! read more

After the great football game at SU, we were starving. We were looking for a restaurant for a party of 10 and we found this place on Yelp! The reviews looked good and the had waitlist. We were at the stadium about 15 minutes from the restaurant so we left and waitlisted. By the time we got there we were first on the waitlist. They were very generous with the amount of food. I got fish and chips. I really loved the way they made it. My fish was so crispy and tasty. The best I've ever had in the US, french fries were ok. They had a big are to park. Prices were amazing. It was ok being at Copper Top. We had to wait a very long time to get seated and when we did, it took longer for the food to get here. Drinks were fine. I ordered the Five Cheese Mac and Cheese and it was bad. It had a very funky taste to it. I did like the truffle fries, Our server loved them so we gave them a try. Copper Top does a lot of things right. The pizzas, select cocktails, and draught variety are exceptional. Seating is ample, so the wait never seems to be too long if there's one at all. I've also found the hostess/wait staff to be both friendly and accommodating. I've been able to make minor modifications to menu items in the past without issue (types of cheese, sauces, bread) so I get the feeling that a fair amount of their food is made to order at least to a certain extent. There are only two things to really be wary of here, in my opinion. The first is portion size. If you're the kind of person that can go out for dinner and eat for three, then you're probably going to take enough food for two home for leftovers. Having said that, it is a pretty good bang for your buck and most of what I've had there does reheat pretty well at home. The only other complaint I have is that even though I like cream cheese, a substantial number of their menu items (especially appetizers, the cheese dip, avocado rolls, etc) are absolutely laden with cream cheese. They must go through veritable tons of the stuff. Unfortunately, I don't get the impression that this is one of those things they can work with you on because it seems all too likely that these items are pre made. It's a good place to take out of town guests or to arrange a small happy hour with friends. Our family chose CopperTop for dinner, and while the wait was a bit longer than we expected, once we were seated, our needs were met with such genuine care. The kids were fussy, and understanding our hesitation, the server kindly suggested that the children's meals be prepared and brought out first to help us settle in. Dining out with our busy children can be challenging, but Alex's thoughtful and compassionate approach made us feel truly cared for. She recognized that our son is on the spectrum and took the time to connect with him using sign language, allowing him to order his meal independently for the first time. When I was finally seated after waiting like an entire 8 mins i was seated at a table with a condom on the chair. After the manager "Ron" came over and started huffin and puffin thinking I slid the rubber on my slim jim. The waitress "Denise" told him it wasn't mine bc when I railed her earlier during the 8 mins i had to wait I didn't wear a mushroom top on my schlong. Apparently Denise was dating Ron and he was salty I smashed pissers with Denise. Ron and I took our argument outside where we compared wangs. After I took the dub cuz my package is what you call a jumbo package he was salty and locked me out. Wow talk about a family restaurant. read more

The food was adequate and plentiful, meeting our expectations. However, the service felt reminiscent of a school cafeteria. After placing our dinner order, it seemed as though customer service ceased. A fish sandwich was mistakenly served with blue cheese, and when we finally caught the attention of an employee (happened to be a host), we were informed it was not their concern. Unfortunately, no manager visited our table, only the server. I have experienced better and faster dining at even the most basic of burger joints. I suggest a different restaurant for your next dinner. read more

I have eating at this location countless times. The food has been exceptional on occasions. Unfortunately last night their Cajun shrimp was just a over-cooked crunchy mess. I have found being selective in what you order will enable you to have a better experience, but the time that you order food, such as later in the day can cause more of a problem. I still will sing their praise...just go before 8pm. read more

Nice place. Good environment. The service was really good, our server Danielle was great! Adorable prices. The burgers are nice and juicy (I got it cooked medium). Chicken sandwich is good and huge! Not a huge fan of the small skinny fries, but they do compliment there sandwiches. The six cheese toast (picture below) was very very good as an appetizer! read more

I just got back from copper top tavern and had the lobster mac and cheese and it was delicious it was very rich and I have leftovers for tomorrow the staff knew what they were doing and I loved it I went again and the service is still great I loved it but the floors are slippery and are a hazard when walking on them read more

I just ate here last week for the first time we enjoyed our time there but I personally thought that the food was kind of blah. I thought it was ok at best. The portions were huge the chicken parm was good and they did have a lighter faire menu. read more
