    Lobster roll with onion rings
    Brynn K.

While my lobster roll was fantastic, other people who ordered the same thing received far less chunks of lobster and it was much tougher. Server was attentive and nice. Due to an issue with our reservation we had a fairly awkward seating arrangement in the bar that felt a bit crowded whenever someone passed by which made it difficult to enjoy the ambiance. Seems to have plenty of off street parking

I was really looking forward to trying this place after reading so many great reviews but unfortunately, my experience was pretty disappointing. I ordered the Cody sandwich (a chicken pesto sandwich), and it was surprisingly bland. I was expecting more flavor especially with pesto but it just fell flat. My fries were also lukewarm. Overall, it didn't live up to the hype and I left feeling underwhelmed. The presentation of the food was great though!

Had a dinner reservation with some friends on a Friday night. The service was incredibly slow especially for ordering 3 salads and 1 alcoholic beverage. It took nearly 1.5 hours from being seated to get dinner served. The food was good, I enjoyed the sun-dried tomato in the Caesar salad. I'm not sure if their ventilation system was broken but the dining room was incredibly hazy and our eyes were watering throughout dinner from the smoke. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back here

I was very pleased with my family's meal last night. Water was delivered to the table as we were seating. We ordered the fried mozzarella as an appetizer and they were delicious! We shared the funky chicken (buffalo) pizza, wedge salad, and sweet potato fries (well done); everything came out perfect, it exceeded my expectations! To finish our dinner, we got some coffee and cake! To sum it up: very friendly staff, accessible parking, comfortable seating, and great food!!!

Always loveeee our food from here!! The wedge is outstanding, you must get the wedge. I've also had the beet and goat cheese salad with salmon and I was happy dancing it was so delicious!! The salmon was cooked to perfection and I got it to go! Amazing! Will be ordering again and again.

This is a very nice restaurant! The service was great. I ordered the special which was a sirloin steak, 4 blackened scallops, mashed potatoes, French beans, and a wedge salad. It was phenomenal. Removing 1 star because I thought the scallops were a tad salty for my palette and the dining room is VERY loud. Practically had to yell across the table to have a conversation. Overall would go back again!

This unassuming restaurant in a warehouse district was just what we needed after a long drive. The shrimp app was so tasty and had a large portion of shrimp. The burger and tuna melt were large and tasty, as were the fries. The strawberry salad with salmon tasted great but was sorely lacking in balsamic and I was basically eating dry spinach. Service was great.

I absolutely enjoy dining at The Preserve at 405. The owner and his staff are always so welcoming and kind. They have some of the best wait staff I've ever encountered. The signature cocktails are phenomenal! Food is delicious! Portions are HUGE and worth the cost. The atmosphere is very modern & comfortable. Great for all occasions! If dining here on a weekend, I would strongly encourage making a reservation.

I visited for the first time last night and I WILL be going back! The artsy atmosphere alone was amazing! You'll fine tons of eclectic art on the walls. The cocktails were so creative. The menu is extensive - something. For everything! This time I got the cheese board as an entree. Lots of leftovers from that. It was delish with many choices. The staff was super friendly and I even got a pose from the hostess! We sat outdoors where you'll find a quaint patio including a fire pit with seating. Highly recommend checking this restaurant out!!

We visited on a busy Saturday afternoon and the place was packed, but luckily we were able to find seats at the bar. Service was good and the food was excellent, enjoyed my Mojito, the fish and shrimp, on the salads were cooked perfectly, would definitely come back, but next time we'll make a reservation!

Really enjoyed my meal. We went with a large party and the service was great. Drinks were tasty and food was great. I forgot to take a pictures of the starter salad, which was also delicious. Prices weren't too bad for the quality!

Recently had my Birthday lunch here. Service was timely and spot on. Extensive full menu with sizable portions. My lunch - a hot lobster sandwich with fries was absolutely delicious! Lunch was followed by an outstanding desert / coconut pie which we shared because it was so big and flavorful. Only downside is not so good location and its very noisy to talk! Bon appetit!!

Once again, it was outstanding. Great service great atmosphere and the food is superb. The price is worth what you pay for. If you have not come here yet, I strongly suggest it. It may be expensive, but the experience is hard to beat. One of my top five favorite restaurants of all time.

I was genuinely looking forward to dining at what is often described as "the best restaurant in…read moreSyracuse," especially for their Valentine's Day prix fixe experience. Unfortunately, based on our visit, I do not anticipate returning. While I do have several culinary critiques--such as paying for the luxury wine pairing only to receive a bold Burgundy alongside Linguine and Clams, or seeing "Caviar" listed on the menu and discovering it was actually Bowfin roe--these are ultimately matters of taste and expectation. Likewise, the eclectic menu progression, shifting from Korean/Asian-inspired starters to Eastern European notes and then unexpectedly into Italian influences, was unusual but clearly stated ahead of time. SEE UPDATED REVIEW FOLLOWING THIS SECTION SPECIFICALLY RELATING TO "SERVICE FEE". What was not clearly stated--and what I believe crosses into dishonest practice--was the service fee. The menu advertised on Instagram included fine print noting a 3% service fee. That seemed reasonable. However, the check we received instead included a 22% service fee, which is a significant and unexplained deviation. This is not a simple oversight. The terms presented online at the time of reservation did not match the terms presented at the restaurant. (UPDATED REVIEW: Following my review, one of the owners of Noble Cellar reached out to discuss my experience. We had an in‑depth, thoughtful conversation about the complexities of New York State restaurant laws, particularly those governing how front‑of‑house staff may be tipped and how back‑of‑house employees may be compensated. While we were in agreement that the language surrounding the service fee was confusing, our discussion gave me a clearer understanding of the intent. I now feel far less certain that the discrepancy was malicious or deliberately deceptive. That said, it should have been made much clearer to diners that the service fee included what is traditionally understood as gratuity. Transparency in this area is crucial for maintaining guest trust, and clearer communication would have prevented the confusion I--and likely others--experienced. I want to commend the owner for reaching out directly and taking the time to address each of my concerns. His willingness to engage, listen, and provide context demonstrated genuine integrity. We also discussed my other critiques in depth, and it was evident that he was sincerely interested in my perspective and committed to further elevating the experience they aim to provide. I was invited back to experience a standard service, and I appreciate the opportunity. I look forward to giving Noble Cellar another chance and hope to update this review again following a future visit.) Our total bill was $599, including a $100 "service fee." I still chose to leave a $100 tip, as our server was attentive and should not be held responsible for management's decisions. In the end, we spent $700 for two people--paired with the added disappointment of feeling misled. I have photo documentation of both menus, and the discrepancy is unmistakable. I will be reaching out directly to ownership and management regarding this issue. Until then, I feel compelled to leave a 1-star review, as this level of inconsistency and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Without the inflated and undisclosed fee, my rating would have been closer to 3 stars, based on the food and overall experience.

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

I was the only returning patron, the others much enjoyed their first time here. Walking through the front door you're instantly hit with a wonderful smell of food cooking over an open fire. Got a terrific table to look out the window and enjoyed a nice evening view. Took full advantage of every food meal course available. Started out with their evening appetizer of homemade bread with cinnamon butter. Each of us got our own dinner choice along with small plates to start. The two small plates were green lentil salad and ember roasted carrots. Both of them with their unique flavor and style. The green lentil salad featured heirlooms. The ember roasted carrots featured labrieth, doqqa, and maple syrup. Keep in mind everything here comes from local farms and local breweries and distilleries. Big fan of supporting the state and local community. Fantastic! They feature only a few main entrées, tonight's included halibut, steak, chicken, and sea Island peas with jasmine rice. Knowing how well seasoned their steaks are, I went with a filet mignon 10 ounce. Probably a little more than I should've gotten, but I very rarely eat steak and know how well and good they are here. Ordered the steak medium to medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. Mouth watering delicious. Along with the steak includes mashed potatoes, chimichurri, kale, and. crème fraiche. Every bite was outstanding. One of us got ice cream for dessert which she said was very good. The ice cream was made right there at the restaurant. We kicked off the dinner with a rum cocktail and a tequila cocktail. All spirits locally sourced. If you haven't tried it here yet you should. You will not be disappointed.

We were promptly seated and ordered glasses of wine while perusing the menu, which is on the smaller side. That usually means everything on it is rather good, so we had high expectations. We started with the Mushroom Toast, Ember Roasted Carrots, and Beef Tartar. I'll start with the bad and finish with the good. The Ember Roasted Carrots were a complete miss. They were trying to go for a middle-eastern flavor, with each ingredient contrasting, while the carrot served as the centerpiece to flavor. I found this to be INCREDIBLY bland. The carrots were not salted enough during roasting and lacked enough char. They dish also needed more labneh than it was served with. It literally just tasted like carrots and yoghurt. Honestly, if I could only give one critique it would be to have used more salt, but this dish was a real disappointment. The Beef Tartar suffered from a similar issue. It was bland. Not enough salt was used. It unfortunately tastes like flat beef. I overheard the bartender talking to another couple and he told them they really want to highlight the ingredients. The idea is purity or something like that. And that's well and good, but you still need to season beef tartar. I don't think this is necessarily a poor execution of the dish(es) rather this is more in line with the philosophy of the kitchen, and that's fine. It's just not for me. And now for the good. The Mushroom Toast was great. It had all the things I had wanted. Fat, salt, umami, freshness. This was a good dish and I would get this again. As for the entrees, my husband and I ordered the Cappelletti and the NY Strip. The Cappelleti was the strongest dish of the night. The flavors were layered and intentional. This was a great dish and I1000% would get it again. My husband ordered the NY Strip along with bone marrow. It was cooked to perfection. Cooking it over a wood fire gave it a great char and almost Smokey flavor. It was very flavorful. The chimichurri made the steak feel lighter than it actually was. My husband loved it and I loved having a bite or two of everything together. This was a complete dish and I'd highly recommend it. The only knock I could give it is the bone marrow. There was a lack of volume in it which is probably due to being cooked over a wood fire. Parts of the bones were also over roasted. I'd skip this the next time and get the foie gras pate. Lastly, for desert we were disappointed that we could not try the rice pudding as they were out of it (we will try it the next time if available). We did however order the Flourless Chocolate Torte to share. It was made perfectly. It was rich and decadent but remained light. It was almost like a mousse, but not quite. We loved it. Overall, the had a great time. There were several highlights and I think they make up for the a couple of the earlier dishes. I'd like to see what else they have to offer when they change their menu.

The chicken, mashed and greens took second place (but I'll give ya a pro tip chef: the longer you cook your greens, the better they are). Every individual glass of wine was $12, so we opted to split a $40 bottle between 4 people. The duck poutine and the pear goat cheese salad were favorites! The ambiance really stands out at 317! This historical building has so much charm, and the wood and brick made a warm, inviting setting. Some of the tables, and the bathrooms, are down a set of stairs. I think this is really unique and I liked how the restaurant used the flow of the old building, but definitely something to keep in mind if you are dining with anyone that has mobility issues. When we arrived, we waited at the entrance for a few minutes before anyone greeted us or checked us in. The entry way is a small space with tables surrounding it, so waiting was a little awkward. We only saw 2 servers working the dining areas, and the kitchen staff were delivering meals. Service and Food were great, we ordered so many things to try. They brought out bread with a "long…read morehot" butter to start. Then, For appetizers, the arancini, the polpette, the crab crostini, and the trapanese pizza. The Arancini were good, very cheesy. I loved the polpette - the meatballs had almost a crispy exterior, mix in the ricotta and they were excellent. The crab crostini special was just okay, not too special. The trapanese pizza was phenomenal - thin, crispy, cheesy. For entrees, with whatever room we had left, we tried the bolognese and the zozzona. Bolognese was good but the zozzona was great. The sauce was good and the sausage was very tasty. Wrapped it all up with an affogato. Would recommend!

Arrived for a Saturday evening meal were immediately seated and brought water. Service was fast and…read morefriendly. Tables were well spaced so you didn't feel crowded and could enjoy conversation without overhearing other tables. Got the meatballs and the special appetizer which I can't remember the name of but was ok not as good as it sounded. Ordered and enjoyed the Zozzona and Bolognese. Both were very good and portions were large. I think if you got one of each and mixed them together and served it would be an incredible dish. Of the two I preferred the Zozzona because of the sweet sausage. My dining partner enjoyed and finished the Bolognese. Good experience and flavorful food... But I still prefer an other Italian restaurant in Liverpool.
