Apizza Regionale was our girls night choice for our get together. My friends have never been, it's been forever since I had their food (I've done takeout only). When we got there and added our name to the list, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. It was quite cozy inside and they have an outdoor patio as well. My friends ordered a drink they saw their Instagram which was the Cucumber Watermelon Sangria. They both loved it, I opted for water since I drank a bit this weekend already lol. We ordered appetizers and individual pizzas. I'm a sucker for a brussels sprouts appetizer and had to try theirs. This will be a repeat order, all the flavors balance each other so well(sweet, salty, and that mustard glaze yum). My friends enjoyed this as well. My friend's ordered the zucchini fritte and they enjoyed that. I ordered my favorite, tried and true The Calabrian (I love hot honey on anything lol). My friends ordered the Garlic & Broccolini (which would be my second choice). They both enjoyed their pizzas, my friend and I shared a sliced with each other. I like the garlic and broccolini as well, I enjoy a white sauce based pizza at times(I love broccoli on pizza, huge garlic person lol). They ordered dessert and coffee, and they both loved the pistachio crème brûlée. Overall it was a great evening with friends, delicious food and atmosphere. Apizza Regionale exceeded my expectations! My husband and I wanted a night cap after eating at Dinosaur BBQ. Apizza was about to close, but they accommodated us. This is a vibey NY style pizza & Italian restaurant. We met the lovely Ciara behind the bar, and she made a Velvet Daydream. The presentation, the ingredients, the Chamberyzette, OH MY! Jacob was the DJ of the night, and we chatted about contemporary funk. We had a few plans for the weekend, but decided to run it back on Sunday for dinner. I had the Sunspell which was lemon, basil, passionfruit, and vodka. It was bomb! We enjoyed the antipasta bowl, but the STAR OF THE SHOW was that delicious chicken parmigiana. Got there and were told it was a 30-40 minute wait. After exactly 30 minutes our table was ready. The place is not too dimly lit -it's just perfect for a romantic dinner. Our waitress was okay. Now the dinner. We ordered the beet salad which is one of our favorites. It did not disappoint -note that it's seasonal though. For the entrees, we got the chicken parmigiana pasta and the shrimp bolognese pasta. I was debating between that and the shrimp fra diavolo but the latter was out so my choice was decided XD . Haven't been here in a while and I can say it went slightly down hill. The vibes were great, we got in quickly and everyone around us seemed to be having a great time, including us. The food came out quick but weirdly it was cold and soggy, no flavor. My hopes were definitely high especially with the prices, I can say I am very dissapointed. It wasn't super busy so there was no reason for the food to be cold. On top of this the tables for two are way too small for multiple food items. Something needs to be fixed. read more

SO DELICIOUS! We loved our meal at apizza, and cannot wait to come back! Our pizza and appetizers were top notch and left us full and happy. Servers were very good and on top of things despite how incredible packed and busy the restaurant was. The weather was gorgeous the evening we went, and it made our stop in especially lovely with a nice breeze flowing and the sun shining in this lovely spot. Can't wait to come back. Apizza Regionale is hands down one of my favorite pizza spots in Syracuse. I absolutely love this place. It is an upscale little spot that feels cozy and comfortable and is perfect for a date night. It can get a little loud on the weekends, but that just comes with how popular it is. My boyfriend and I love coming here every time we visit our hometown. We usually sit at the bar and always end up making friends with the bartenders pretty quickly. The energy is just right. We ordered appetizers and pizza and as always it did not disappoint. We are big fans of the Calabrian pizza. It is so good, especially with the hot honey on top. The balance of flavors is perfect. This time we also tried the special which had shiitake mushrooms, ricotta, a fried egg, and cheese. Overall it was pretty good. He enjoyed it more than I did, but it was still worth trying. The service here is always fantastic and the ambience is really dope. You can come here for a date night or bring the family. They have music playing in the background and while it can get loud at times, I think that just adds to the vibe of the place. I have been coming here for years and I genuinely think everyone should try it. One of my patients actually recommended this spot to me years ago and told me it reminded her of pizza from Italy. I will start this as I always do by saying I do not give out five stars unless I am really blown away. I still really like this place. It's casual but feels upscale. It's not a big place which makes it nice. The only answer is warm and inviting. The weight staff does a great job cricket taking your order filling your drinks and they are very pleasant. The pizza is top-notch as long as you're not expecting New York style pizza. The bartender Katelyn is amazing. One of my favorite bartenders I've ever had. She has the best laugh ever. Hmmmm what's good at this place? Everything! Such a great restaurant. My wife and drive about five hours to visit our son that lives in the area. If he ever moves out of the area, we will be driving about five hours to visit Apizza Regionale. Their pizza is without question the best pizza I've ever eaten. There are a lot of great restaurants in the area and we like to try a new one each trip. Apizza is the one and only that is a must do every time. There is just something about this place l, you can't have a bad experience. We've been going for about four years and you see a lot of the same staff they are friendly and appreciative. Stopped in for an early dinner on a Sunday (so few places are even open on Sundays for dinner). We got a table right away, but within 30 minutes, there was a line of people waiting to be seated. Cocktails are spot on; pizzas are always excellent. I ordered the chicken parm and fettuccini for the first time. It was very good but the parm was oversalted. I've been wanting to try this place for awhile. I finally decided to go today and thank goodness it wasn't busy. I can see how uncomfortable it could be during their rush hours. Seating is so close together. Our waitress was awesome. Super friendly and our food was delicious! I definitely recommend the zucchine fritte with their lemon caper aioli sauce. The only complaint I have was I requested my Calabrian pizza to be lightly charred but it was too charred for my liking. Other than that, the overall taste of the pizza was tasty. We had antipasto salad and brussel sprouts appetizer, which was a little small for $14 but good. The star of the meal was the Calabrian pizza, which was very flavorful, although it got cold quickly. 2 things could be improved - - providing a pizza spatula to serve the pizza at the table and let staff know not to clear the water and glasses from the table until guests leave. It felt like they were rushing us out; the restaurant was only half full so no need to turn a table over quickly. Overall, a good meal and cute spot. read more

We visited Apizza during dining weeks. When our party of 2 arrived, we were told it was a 45 minute wait for a table. We decided to take 2 seats at the bar instead, but it seemed like the wait was not actually that long for the other parties waiting. There are no mocktails on the menu here, but I asked the bartender and he made me something with orange based on what I said I was looking for. I didn't have any wine on this visit, but I liked that their menu featured a wide variety of wines and how most of them were available by the glass. I really enjoyed my pizza, and it was big enough to take a few slices home. For dessert, I had the Budino which was good and very rich- I thought it was a great dessert for sharing. The brittle that came with it was delicious as well. Overall, I'm looking forward to returning to try more of the menu, including the wines and seasonal specialties. read more

We didn't make reservations on the Sunday of a holiday weekend, so they said there would be an hour wait for a table for two. Luckily, we only ended up waiting about twenty minutes. The restaurant has a small parking lot, but it fills up fast. Street parking is available and it's free to park after 6pm. The fried artichoke starter was superb. The artichokes were crispy and rich and melted in your mouth, especially with the accompanying garlic aioli. The misticanza salad was light and refreshing. They were kind enough to swap the red wine vinaigrette for the caramelized orange dressing and it was quite tasty. For my main, I had the patata pizza. It was good, but the potatoes were cut so thinly that you could barely taste them. The main flavor came from the caramelized onions, which were quite sweet, and I think a savory flavor would've worked better for me. The coal fired crust was the perfect texture. It wasn't bad, but just not what I expected. My husband got the shrimp oreganata pizza and ate the whole thing, so clearly that was a hit! Our waitress brought the check before we had the chance to order dessert, but we remedied that and tried the olive oil cake. It was a bit grainier than versions I've had in the past, but still very moist and the olive oil flavor came through nicely. We left satisfied! read more

I would say this is currently my favorite pizza in Syracuse. The tables are tightly spaced and the atmosphere can be boisterous at times. I went Sunday at 7 and they told me a 15 minute wait for a table so I sat at the bar which was entertaining in its own right. Will be back read more

So, here's the thing, 2 stars or less for lack of communication to manager and restaurant personnel. .... Why? Nothing - nada.. no replies, no answers during business hours, phone # on web gets recording leave a message as it trips to a different number. Nope. Came with my sister and her boyfriend, so I could argue that white sauce pizzas are better than red sauce pizzas...Apizza helped me make some strong points. We started off with the zucchini fritters and wow, definitely our favorite of the night. Then came the pizza showdown. Wow is the only thing to describe the place. Ambiance was amazing, the wood fire stove kept you warm and it always great to see the food cooked near you. The quality of ingredients were top notch. Friendly staff and attentive. We ordered the chicken parm (best I've ever had and were from NYC), the eggplant pizza special, the regular pie, meatballs and the sausage pasta. Everything was exceptional. The sausage pasta was a little heavier for me but the pies were both done perfectly. A little crispy and doughy and it was nice thin and light. Where to start so my son comes into town for Christmas with his just married new wife they decide they wanted pizza from here they been here before with a big group of friends and liked it, So me and my wife decide to treat them and it was a hit on my son and wife's food but a big miss on our food my wife asked for her pizza to be light baked it came out burnt bigtime the zucchini frites we had was good but the meatballs I had were burnt and super small and the arachini balls were bland no seasoning anywhere to be found it was not worth the money we spent so I'm sure my son will return but me and my wife won't. read more

What a great place! I sat at the bar, not the pizza bar. The bar tender was great! Convo was great. Her laugh was great. Then a couple sat next to me waiting for some friends and that convo was great. I ordered the Calabrian. This is Neapolitan style pizza. The crust and pizza were great. The taste was great. I had the Budino for dessert. It was eyes roll into the back of your head good. I drank a couple of old fashioneds. The bar tender had them down pat. They were delicious. The people and staff in this place were genuine. I met some friends in downtown Syracuse at around 6pm on a Tuesday. I have not been to Apizza in many years and was looking forward to the visit. It was just starting to get busy and by the time we left people were waiting to get a table. I was happy to see this wonderful restaurant doing great business and it wasn't even a weekend. I was seated right away, even though the rest of my party wasn't there, which was nice so I could look over the menu and order a drink. The server was over quickly and I asked her about "mocktails" since none were listed. She assured me they could make some of the cocktails without alcohol or whatever I liked. I ordered a Blackberry drink which was excellent and when my friends arrived they had the same drink. The brussel sprouts appetizer was delicious, with onions, cheese and a mustard sauce. I didn't care for the Delicata squash appetizer, however, it was too sweet with the honey but I really just wanted more squash. The batter was thick like a fritter or donut but the squash was so thin it was impossible to taste anything but batter. The salads looked amazing and were thoroughly enjoyed. The pizzas were perfectly cooked....I ordered the plain cheese and others ordered the potato. I passed on the potato pizza thinking the potatoes would be thick cut and heavy, but when I tried a piece they were thinly cut and delicious. I will definitely get that next time. While some people see darkness and think a pizza is overcooked, the char on these was perfect..... adding another depth of flavor to the homemade dough. I've been in to Apizza several times over the almost two years I've lived in SYR. My father is notoriously picky, and he's determined it's his favorite place downtown; it's now a must when he visits from Michigan. I came in for lunch today for the restaurant week deal. $15 for a 9" pizza, a side salad, and a smaller portion of an appetizer. Today it took a long time for pizzas to come out. A couple of people near me had to ask for theirs to be boxed up because it was taking too long. I think the issue was a larger carryout order and it being the lunch rush. The servers apologized to all of us for the wait. Since I had to get back to work, no drinks today. I've had some of the sangria and other specialty drinks and they are really good. read more

Stopped in here for dinner last night. It was really busy and quite loud. Seating is a bit cramped. We started off with espresso martinis. Not as high quality espresso as some other places in town, but still good. I got the Calabrian pizza for my meal and added sausage. I was a bit surprised by their menu considering it's a brick oven pizza restaurant. I was expecting to see more variable pizza choices. You can always modify their existing ones or creat your own, but I felt it was limited. The pizza itself was great. Crust was perfect and toppings were fresh. I do feel like service was lacking. My nephew and his fiancee recommended this place when we came to visit him in Syracuse. And I'm glad that they did. It's basically your hipster pizza joint. I didn't realize this was one of the top-rated places in Syracuse, but it was an okay experience. The pizza was great, but the service could've been a lot better. I had some tattooed dark-haired guy as my server, and I kept asking him for soda and it was like he ignored me. But oh well, I didn't tip him. Hopefully he learns his lesson.
