    Chicken Cutlets
    Bri H.

We went out to catch up with some friends for dinner. Loved how relaxed it is inside and the way they set it up with the out door lights and low lighting was nice and low key. We went during the week so it was a quiet afternoon and we were seated immediately. We started off with a bottle of cab and their fried gnocchi and meatballs for appetizers. Wasn't able to get a picture of them as we dug in very quickly. They were both delicious and the marinara they use for sides is very flavorful and smooth. My boyfriend got the lasagna and I got the chicken cutlets with a side of pasta with their diavolina (spicy pink sauce). Both were fantastic and I loved the diavolina sauce, just the right amount spicy and very creamy. It went great with the chicken cutlets which were the perfect crisp. The owner actually came out to check on us throughout our dinner which was a nice surprise and was great to meet him. Love to see new restaurants on Westcott and look forward to trying other items on our next visit.

Amazing place! We…read moreloved it here. We were looking for a dinner spot. Drove by, saw people on the patio, and we decided to try it out. Everything I had was amazing. I tried the iced tea, salmon, filet, sweet potatoes, asparagus, fennel and ordered a latte. All of the food I tried was incredible and fresh. I can't wait to come back here. I'm glad this spot is in Syracuse!

Like Tiffany below, I had the lomo saltado and I was disappointed - maybe this is the dish to…read moreavoid? For $50-$75 per person for one non-alcoholic drink, one shared appetizer, and one entree, I expected a little more. The room is very pretty, though they haven't managed to vent airflow away from the tables with a redirecting fin, I'd rather that than sweating on a summer's day. The drinks were great, if a bit overpriced at $10-$15 each for mocktails. The appetizer, Chicharrones De Calamar, was clearly previously frozen but overcooked calamari, no crispiness detected despite the rubberiness of being overcooked. My entree featured the fries my fellow reviewer called out, the puff-potato finest frozen, rather than fresh cut and rice that was so dry it was crunchy. The beef was not anything special and my dining companion went so far as to lament that we hadn't just dealt with the heat in their kitchen to make something instead. My companion had the cazuela and said it was fine but nothing particularly worth visiting for again. The hosting staff seemed wonderfully warm and welcoming. The wait staff were unaware of how to approach a table to place or remove dishes, what fork and knife placement might indicate that you are either continuing to dine or finished (or to ask, rather than assume a plate is ready to remove), and movement around the tables was generally awkward. I hope they're working on these skills as they all seem so lovely but service is lacking. We stopped in on a whim on a Wednesday night and while I don't regret trying somewhere new, I regret that it was Inka's.
