By far the best meal from our vacation. My boyfriend and I are long distance and he had ordered this place for me before as a cute date night thing. Forgot to post this for takeout thursday (4/16/26) Wow this place was amazing. The Portions were huge and I got two meals out of it. The pasta was spicy and flavorful as were the two cut up chicken breasts. No extra fluff just meat pasta and sauce and sometimes thats exactly what you want. Decent food, big portions & open till at least 11pm when most places are closed, Was in Syracuse for my Godson's spring game & we were starving after the game & very few places were open on a cold Sat night, he said this place would be opened & the food was good, they did not disappoint, the employees here went above & beyond delivering great service with a smile serving delicious food. I would definitely recommend this place and they were not stingy with the sauce on the Chicken frites that soaked it all up to make the leftovers even better the next day for lunch, I am not a savage that could eat all that in one sitting now , cmon. Me & my winning gift card headed over on a beautiful Friday night, where we were treated like royalty, which is rare for a counter spot! Had to go for some "booty juice" (sweet grape kool aid), Cajun pasta with chicken (OMG, so good) and while we opted for the nuggets, it was only be we've had the wings which are FANTASTIC - nuggets were a bit of a let down. Also grabbed some sliders from their neighbors pound town.burgers with their sweet fries. Big Fella's is operated by chef Antoine Smith and Eddie Lampkin, who played for theSyracuse Orange basketball team. They had been working on the plan for the restaurant since Lampkin arrived in Syracuse. Big Fellas shares a space with Poundtown burgers, and both restaurants operate out of the same space. Big Fella's main offerings are Cajun pasta with toppings like chicken, steak, shrimp, catfish and lamb shops, plus rice bowls with the same toppings. It also has wings and sweets. We ate for the first time at Big Fellas recently and enjoyed it. With the two restaurants, if you've never been there, it can be a confusing experience at first, with the space split in two sections for each restaurant, but employees are friendly and helpful in explaining how it works. Wife and I ordered a cajun pasta with a crispy chicken cutlet and an order of the cajun frites with steak. We also ordered two of their signature drinks, Booty Sweat & Nipsy's Lemonade, which were both delicious. Our food was brought in a timely manner and both were delicious. They are massive portions, and we kinda like that they're served right in a to go container, cause you're probably not gonna finish it and need to take it home. We also liked that they offer their signature drinks in several different sized bottles up to a gallon if you want to take some home, which we did. Prices are a little high, but you do get your money's worth with the food. We'd definitely go back. read more

It was my sister's birthday and we came down for the Chris Brown and Usher Raymond concert in Syracuse. We had been very disappointed with many of the places that we went but two places stood out and big fellas was one of them. The ambience is very laid-back trendy, fast food pace, kind of environment. The staff was amazing in particular Stephanie who I believe is one of the owners or the owner's wife. She moved tables around so that we could have aesthetic photos and was just a delight when I come back I will be coming back. In fact, I came back the next day and purchased the salmon pasta, which was also delicious now the lamb chops were made well done but the most tender well done I've ever tried in my life, I will say they sprinkle powdered sugar on top of the lamb chops so if that's not something you're willing to try. Make sure you tell them not to put it on before you get your meal because my nephew didn't like the powdered sugar but he did like the lamb chops. The pasta has a slight kick which definitely gives me a Cajun vibe, but it was not spicy. it was really good each of the guests that I was with tried one of their signature drinks and they were all really good. I would say it would pair even better if it wasn't cocktail, but you can always take it home and make your own cocktail, which is exactly what I did. read more

Well worth the drive from Binghamton. We were treated like kings by our server Roderick. He let us try the fries and sauce before we committed to getting in slathered all over our fries and chicken. He also let us sample all 3 of their own drinks. I recommend the Booty Sweat. The powdered sugar on the chicken works and makes the flavor a truly unique experience. Highly recommend the Donnie Freeman special and also the chicken cutlet with fries or pasta. I think this is my first 5 star rating! read more

Everything was amazing, and our server Riley was super helpful! Some of the dishes do come with powdered sugar on top, if you like that sort of thing it was delicious, if not i'm sure you can ask for it without. Make sure you try their homemade juices as well. Terrible quality portion sizes. Paid almost $50 and received a malnourished baby lamb for my lamb chops. Owner responded to me on google review and didnt even apologize as you can see I'm receiving maybe enough lamb for a 4 year old. Go to pound town instead. read more

Went with a group of 6 and ordered from both Big Fellas and Poundtown menus. Food came pretty quickly and was piping hot, so you know It was made to order. Tried the Cajun pasta with jalapeno cheddar sausage and was terrific. Not super spicy, but enough to get my attention. Huge portions on all dishes, so good value. Another had Cajun pasta with veggies, fries with catfish and a rice bowl with shrimp. All equally large portions and fresh made. Others got smash burger with fries and chicken tenders. Caution: chicken tenders are HUGE and hence why a regular order is just 3 pieces. Our diner ordered 6 pieces with side of fries and probably took 2/3 of both home - and he is a big eater. Staff was very attentive, even the owner stopped by to check in with us. Only drawback is no beer or other alcohol, just soft drinks, but the lemonade was really good so did not miss it much. read more

I paid for my food and tipped 25% of my order. I politely asked the employee taking my order "Can I please have a to-go container?" She said "Yes." I went to grab the to-go container and the manager who was a white woman with brown hair came out of nowhere being extremely rude. She took the container from me and said "You can't just take our dishes. If you want another container, buy another meal. I even asked if I can buy a to-go container and she just walked off. When I ordered my food one of the employees told me my food would be out in about 15 minutes. The manager who was very rude and aggressive came out with my food in 4 minutes. It seemed very rushed to me and no effort was put into making my food. I ordered a large shrimp cajun pasta. The taste and texture of the shrimp made it feel undercooked but i'm not sure. I wouldn't be surprised though since my food came out in 4 minutes. Also, whoever made my food just threw a bunch of seasoning on top and didn't want to mix it in at all. This place is also known for big portions, it has it in the name "Big Fellas." I did not get a big portion. This one meal cost $28 and was not worth it at all. This was my first time coming here and I experienced horrible service by one white lady in particular who was the manager but claimed she owned the place. read more
