    Brownie sundae

I must have driven by this place 100 times but today my sister & I were looking for a place to eat lunch. Of course I turn to Yelp for help in finding a restaurant near where I am. Yelp is spot on again! Although this doesn't look like much from the outside the inside is clean and food delicious. The bartender had to take care of the bar and food orders. She was busy but still gave good service. I got the cheesesteak sandwich which came with chips and pickles. My sister the grilled cheese with chips and pickles. My cheesesteak was tasty with a perfect bun which wasn't too much bread. We shared a brownie sundae. It was a huge sundae and so good. If I'm in the area again I won't hesitate to stop in.

I went here on a Saturday afternoon and it was truly the perfect timing. I walked in, and there were a handful of regulars at the bar and not many other people at the tables. As soon as I sat down, I was greeted by the bartender and offered drinks. Shortly after I placed my food order, which did not take long at all. The food was great. I got a buffalo chicken wrap with their homemade potato chips, which were truly amazing! They have so many options on their menu. It was difficult to choose one thing. There are a bunch of dart boards at the restaurant and it seems like they have events here in the summer when they have bands who come to play. I would absolutely recommend checking this spot out. I will plan on coming back soon!

The Lafayette Inn is a small town bar with a large back room and I believe it was 6 or 7 dart boards.. they have an extensive menu, honestly, and I am told everything my friends have had there has been good. The salad I had was pretty good and fresh, but the mushrooms on my friends mushroom Swiss burger looked to be canned, so I am mixed. They use bang bang sauce on multiple items on the menu, and the surprisingly sweet and spicy sauce is pretty tasty. The bartender was nice!

A quaint bar out in Lafayette with an extensive menu. The inside looks like it hasn't been updated in over 30 years, but that's really the only con. Drinks are cheap, it's clean, and they have 2 dart boards and a juke box. Kitchen closes at 9pm. I tried their French onion soup and bang bang wings. Both were delicious!! The wings were nice and crisp. Food prices were very fair as well. I would definitely come here again.

Amazing place! We were looking for an amazing fish place and found this spot on the side of the road after a hike. I am so glad I stopped. I ordered the fried fish and fries. It also came with cole slaw. I'll definitely be back again soon!

I had the mushroom Swiss burger and it was outstanding. The French fries may have been the best I've ever had. Excellent service too.

It was fine. Would've been better if the cheese was actually hot. Expensive at 15 bucks for four pieces of bread with beer cheese and scallions on top. I had the beef on week. Partner had the CHAMP. They really enjoyed theirs. The beef on wreck was good. Horseradish had a real kick which I appreciated. The sandwiches came with "rough cut" chips which seemed to be made in house. Fine for what they were I suppose, I don't personally like homemade chips so I can't judge too hard. Came to nearly 60 bucks for two sandwiches and an app. Expensive for what it was. Not a bad experience but I'll only be back if my partner has a craving.

I ordered the Beef of Weck and Potato Salad given past reviews seemed to deem these two items as menu staples. The potato salad was fine, in need of a big pinch of salt. The Beef on Weck was a hardy, and a big portion for a sandwich, the extra horseradish wasn't necessary unless you're really a fan. However, the sandwich should be eaten with the au jus, otherwise it borders on flavorless. I did find the bun overly salty. Filling but not fufillying. Additional note... When I went to pickup the staff member wanted me to sign off on a receipt of the full amount without the discount. When I stated I paid online, he responded it had to do with the fact DoorDash doesn't allow for a tip. When I asked for a new bill representative of what I paid, the manager came and said they ask for the signature to confirm it was picked up... Then I said, I can indicate that here on the app, and he agreed and let me go with my food. Overall the interaction made me uncomfortable as I've never experienced a similar situation with pickup. Perhaps just me, but something I feel someone should be made aware of if they're ordering to-go.

Got Roast Beef/Lettuce/Provolone/ Thousand Island. Sandwiches are hard to mess up and impress when they are cold cut but the price for the size along with the roast beef being a good cut definetly make this a good sandwich and I can understand the enjoyment. Coupled with it I ordered a soup and while they didnt have the meatball medley the chicken noodle was warm and comforting and additionally they gave us a mac salad to make up for the meatball medley being ordered but not available. Love a good paprika on my mac salad and they did it well. Would go back and try something else!

We came around lunch time on Saturday August 30th 2025 - Upon walking in, I noticed the menu board was written in very small font and had no descriptions so it was kind of hard to figure out what we wanted. I asked the employee for the most popular choice and she recommend the Brooklyn special which had swiss cheese, pastrami, corned beef and prosciutto. This came on a rye bread, with a type of mayonnaise and we added lettuce, tomato and onions. We got only 3 pickles for the huge sandwich which really did not seem like enough. I appreciated how much meat there was but the overall sandwich was lacking in flavor. The "Russian dressing" tasted like regular mayo. I did not see a regular reuben sandwich option on the menu, perhaps this was something you needed to request - but it would have been better to have a toasted bread perhaps or just a different sauce. Portion was huge, pricing was fair, but the overall flavor was boring so that is disappointing.

They have a rotating menu that they list on their website (www.saltcitybread.com). By the time I got there mid-afternoon, they were sold out of their seeded (sesame, pumpkin, and sunflower seeds) sourdough. Plain sourdough loaves are $10 and the sourdough with inclusions are market price and range from $12-14 it seems. I got their chocolate chip cookie (with flaky salt from Syracuse Salt company) for $3.25, and it was delicious!! Thick cookie with crisp edges and a soft, fluffy center. Huge chocolate chips too! The flaky salt brings a nice balance as well. Will definitely be back!

This little bakery is very cute and offers a selection of different breads as well as sweets. The service is excellent and welcoming. These people know how to do bread WELL. I have tried their italian bread, focaccia, and their braided sesame bread-- which are all phenomenal! They have some sandwiches on their menu as well as some coffee available. On this occasion we ordered: - Braided sesame bread: this is my absolute favorite bread here. The presentation is beautiful, and the bread reminds me of a more savory challah with some salted olive oil hints that remind me of focaccia. The softness of the bread and the density make it so satisfying. It is perfect with both sweet and savory pairings. Super addictive--a loaf usually does not last longer than a day in our household. - Turkey sandwiches: we got a whole sandwich split into two halves. Size is pretty generous and one half is definitely enough for one person. This sandwich, although simple, stands out for its high quality ingredients. It came with generous sliced turkey that was not too salty, delicious gouda cheese, high quality mayo, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The white bread is made in-house and feels super fresh and fluffy. They were super nice and gave us two bags of chips to compliment our dinner even though we technically ordered only one sandwich. We got it split into two separate containers and my fiancé and I each got our own pickle! Perfect option to get to-go. - Peanut butter cookie: I initially wanted to try the chocolate chip but they sadly ran out. However this was actually an amazing cookie. The thickness was perfect, not too thick and not too thin. It had nice bits of peanut butter and the cookie itself was super buttery, soft but with a nice caramelized crust, and not too sweet. There was a surprise Reeses PB cup in there which was very pleasant. Very good cookie! Cannot wait to come back and try their chocolate chip one. Overall, this bakery is a 10/10 and a very great asset to the area. Even though their selection is limited, I think they really focus on doing the few things they do VERY well. I love how local and homey this business feels. Their baked goods are all amazing and I will continue supporting them whenever I am in Manlius. Highly recommend Salt City Bread! You will not regret it.

We arrived early in the day, likely one of the first customers of the day. We ordered 2 traditional cheesesteaks to go. It even felt I got my monies worth. Unwrapping the sandwich revealed the special roll that is advertised LOADED with steak, onions and cheese. There were also black grill scrapings. It was unfortunate. I would have given this sandwich a solid five of it weren't for the scrapings and accompanying burnt taste.
