Sad I didn't take any pictures for my review but it seems to be on brand that I'm always forgetting. Overall, have been coming to the bakery for year. Well before it's charming renovation, back to when it had leather bar stools at the bakery counter and Jim in the back making the best apple fritters you've ever had. I come whenever I'm in town and it's always good. I think more than anything I come for the nostalgia. The Rice Krispie treats are always a solid pick and I enjoy them a lot. Same with the smiley face cookies, the bakery frosting is the best. I got a parfait for the first time since high school though and was sorely disappointed. They used to use wake robin yogurt (which I do remember them discontinuing some years ago), but now the yogurt is SO sweet. Overall it makes the parfait too sweet with the homemade granola and blueberry coulis. I couldn't help but notice how much smaller the parfait portions are too. They used to be full sized cups and now they're nearly half their former size which was definitely disappointing considering the price has certainly not gone down. In summary, the bakery will always hold a special place in my heart. Been going since I was a baby. The treats are good, sandwiches are solid, and they have a wide variety of beverages. The roast chicken breast ($11.50), BLT ($10), and smoked turkey ($12) were all pretty good, standard sandwiches. Didn't try any desserts or drinks, though the coffee options seemed popular. Service was subpar and very unpleasant, as some other reviews here mention - the young girls working the register and the man making the sandwiches all seemed like they didn't want to be there, and were not very kind. They also don't use gloves when making sandwiches. Also beware that they upcharge 3% if paying with card - mentioned on a small slip of paper near the register. The Skaneateles Bakery popped up on every 'what to do in Skaneateles' article so we had to make a trip in. It was a rainy Saturday morning about 11:30 and it was busy in there! Cinnamon rolls were sold out and there was only one pop tart left so of course we had to try it. The coffee smelled delicious and the girl at the register was so kind! Additionally, we tried the raspberry pineapple scone and a pumpkin whoopie pie. Everything was good but not over the top amazing. The whoopie pie was yummy but the icing was the best part the outside was a little dense. The pop tart was okay but there was not much filling on the inside so if you don't love pie crust this is not the pastry for you. And the scone was yummy and would've paired perfectly with a coffee. We came here for an early afternoon snack. It was packed, with a line out the door, but it moved fairly quickly. They have baked goods, as well as sandwiches, hot and cold beverages, and smoothies. I tried a carrot cupcake. I was delighted that it didn't have nuts or raisins in it, as those are usually my gripes with carrot cake. It was very moist and the cream cheese frosting was A+, which is harder than you might think to find! I also had a matcha latte. It was sweetened with vanilla, so it still had the natural matcha taste. My husband got the mocha and enjoyed that it tasted like hot chocolate. They have several tables inside and we were lucky enough to snag one, despite how busy it was. I can certainly see why it's such a popular spot in town! read more

It's very cute and inside. The perfect ambiance for a small cafe/bakery. I bought a cinnamon roll and a vanilla-coconut doughnut. Both were scrumptious. I actually was pleasantly surprised by the doughnut because it's a cake doughnut and it wasn't dry but perfectly made! The staff were helpful and friendly. I gave 4 stars only because it took about 10 min for them to make my coffee while it was pretty dead inside the bakery. I finally remembered it take pictures of my go to - the buffalo chicken melt and my summer fav back their lavender haze latte! It is a small bakery with delicious breakfast and lunch items, along with their baked goods. Some seating is available if you wanted to dine in, but I enjoy walking over to the lake and sitting out in the sun. The lavender haze latte is by far my favorite and it's my favorite lavender latter from anywhere (Starbucks can't compare). They make it with lavender, honey, and vanilla and it is perfect! The buffalo chicken melt is perfect for anyone it's on the mild side. The fresh mozzarella, smashed avocado, and their bread is the perfect combination! I only eat half in one sitting, it is very filling. Side note, their plain and everything bagels are pretty good too! They add tons of cream cheese if you choose to add it. I ordered a cold brew coffee and a steel-cut oatmeal. I asked for no use in my coffee drink. I received a half-full cup of coffee. The server said they provide the smaller portion due to the no-ice serving. Then my oatmeal was served in a bowl that dwarfed the small serving of oats. I was pleased to try and love the buffalo chicken melt. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. They were also helpful in getting my order to me quickly. We ordered 5 breakfast sandwiches (thought we received only 4, I let it slide because the place was busy and loud so I can understand how the server did not hear us) and they tasted excellent. The bakery itself was quite small, but with enough seating not to feel claustrophobic. Skaneateles is one of my favorite towns in the Finger Lakes. It has an adorable downtown and a beautiful lakeside section. We were starving when we arrived and were lucky enough to find the Skaneateles Bakery. We loved everything we had there. My favorite thing was the peanut butter bar with smooth, creamy peanut butter. I dream of it often. My husband loved his Roast Beef Sandwich and chicken noodle soup. I absolutely loved the Smoked Turkey Sandwich. Everything about it was amazing. Their tomato basil soup was ok. I was hoping it would be better. Everything is made with high quality and fresh ingredients. Can't wait to try other delicious things on the menu! You must try this place. Not an overwhelming selection of baked goods but there was a decent amount to choose from including donuts, muffins, scones and croissants (etc..). During my visit I got two coffees, two breakfast sandwiches, and two donuts. Everything came to a round $35 with tip. Everything is made fresh to order, so after ordering there was about a 15 minute wait. You can call ahead and order so it's available for pick up upon arrival which is good to know and they even have an order online option, which is even easier. There are a few tables for sitting if you want to stay and enjoy your breakfast there. For the breakfast sandwich I did the veggie White which I thought was pretty good and comes on a ciabatta bread. My husband had the egg and cheese on ciabatta with sausage which he said tasted like an average breakfast sandwich. They also have bagels, oatmeal, and parfaits. At lunchtime they have cold and grilled sandwiches and they also have soup and salad. Their soups are on a daily rotation. They also have smoothies. Some of our favorites were the donuts, the cookies (mmm molasses cookie) , and their brownies. The sandwiches are delicious too. I had a roast beef, which had the perfect amount of tang from mustard with a subtle crunch from fried onions. The chicken pesto was more of a panini. Chili and soup and stews were all warm and cozy in the cold winter day. I'm not gonna lie the hit for my kids and myself, however, it was a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
