    Irish cider

Just moved to the area and tried this pub for the first time with a friend. What a gem! The food was authentically delicious. We had Cobbs Salad and a BLT with a side of chowder. My friend had 1911s and I tried the Irish cider. The servers were incredible and the atmosphere was popping. It took a bit to order because it was on the busy side but it was totally worth the wait and we had a great evening.

I noticed The Mary Wee Pub while driving down Main Street in Webster. I instantly thought it looked like a place I needed to try. A few days later, I did just that and, boy, am I glad I did. Although the space is small, it packs in quite a few people. You can tell the space has been recently renovated and it looks new and clean. The service was personal and fast. I really enjoyed everyone I interacted with. The same can be said about the food! The food came out quickly, was hot, and of quality. The Reuben had the most tender corn beef I've ever eaten. The portions were generous and the pricing is reasonable. The Mary Wee Pub is an easy recommendation to give due to their delicious food and great service!

We went to lunch at this location with a couple of friends. This corner location has recently been remodeled. It's modern and updated, not necessarily what you would expect from a pub. There's very little street parking so you'll need to be prepared to walk about a half a block. It's a cozy place but limited seating. I didn't count but I'm going to guess the occupancy Maxim is somewhere around 75 people. There was probably roughly 10 tables? They have a great selection of imported beers on tap. They have domestics in cans and bottles. We ordered the large, extra large pretzel. It came with two lovely side sauces. One was a cheesy sauce and the other a sweet mustard. It was large enough as an appetizer for all four adults. One of our Friends had french onion soup. It looked beautiful and she said she thoroughly enjoyed it! Clearly fresh and lots of bubbly cheese! Our other friend ordered Irish stew. He said he enjoyed it very much. Both the soup and the stew were a generous portion. My husband and I split a roast beef sandwich, a French dip. It came with a generous portion of au jus sauce and ripple chips. Quite frankly, I wasn't necessarily impressed with the sandwich. I felt the meat was dry and it was a small portion. It did take quite a while for the server to come over and take our order. However, it seems she was the only server so she was definitely busy as the place was full. I will note that I have seen some Google reviews that mention the server as being rude or abrupt. I felt as though her demeanor could easily be considered rude or abrupt. However, I don't think that's the case. I think it's just her personality. She is just to the point. There's nothing wrong with that. It's a little on the pricier side but we enjoyed our meal and we enjoyed the environment. I would definitely recommend this place again

Like the new layout and open window to the street. Also like that the bar wraps around more.

It's small so there is limited seating in the winter as the outside area is closed.

My wife and I had an early Valentine's Day dinner, or late lunch depending on how you look at it…read more The place was already full on a Saturday afternoon in the bar area, but we had our table waiting for us in the dining room. The host was friendly, our server was upbeat and attentive, and the owner came by to chat late in the meal. A truly welcoming experience. We started off with two Black & Tans (Guinness and Harp) and an order of the Irish Fritters and mini potato pancakes. Generous enough portions of both, that we set aside half to take home for the next day. Our entrees were the Irish Meatloaf dinner and the baked haddock dinner. Both arrived perfectly timed and perfectly cooked. Again, we couldn't quite finish them, so we boxed up the remainder for Sunday. For dessert, we opted to drink ours. We ordered a strawberry Martini and a whiskey cocktail named after the title of Ireland's Prime Minister. All in all, it was 2 hours from start to finish, the bill was $110, to which I added a 25% tip. If you're looking for a real taste of Ireland, look no further than Kitty Hoynes.

After Removing the burnt crust the rest was delicious. The fish did not seem to be a light white fish though the fries were excellent. We also had the sandwich of the day to go. It was good. For dessert we had the gluten free brownie. It came with ice cream and was very good. We were in a corner of the restaurant and the service was a bit on the slow side.

It was NOT a disappointment. It's crazy I lived in Rochester for 18 1/2 years and never heard of it before and that was my loss. The atmosphere, the energy, the community in this bar was outstanding. They have a great selection of beers on tap. I started with The Kind but when I saw they had Mass Riot from Prison City I quickly moved to that. Didn't think I was going to eat but the food smelled so good I had to order. SO many things looked great on the menu it was so tough to choose. Ended up getting hot Buffalo Wings and the Pot Roast Grilled Cheese. The wings were good. A little sweet which is not my jam for Buffalo Wings but they still were good quality. The Pot Roast Grilled Cheese was absolutely freekin outstanding. Shamrock Jacks is now on my must visit every time I come back to Rochester.
