It took me way to long to stop in here and experience some authentic Irish food and drinks... located on Main st in Webster, we parked down the street in a community parking lot. Walking in to Barry's was just like being in Ireland..... from the small bar and cute little table areas.. Jessica and Danny make you feel so welcomed and inviting. We immediately sat right at the bar and had a ice cold Harp draft... mmmmm Once more friends arrived we switched to a high table and ordered some food. Had to try their fish n chips, magnets Irish cider batter cod. Perfectly cooked with such crispy outside and so tender inside. The chips... unbelievable, best around! Also tried a few bites of their shepherds pie, so well done. But the best part was the dessert...omg Guinness cupcakes with baileys icing. Sad they are closing in a few weeks but happy the family is going to produce their Irish cream.

What a neat little gem in Webster this place is! Just as I think the owners had envisioned, Barry's is a true Irish pub that makes you feel like you're right in the heart of the Emerald Isle. It's family-owned and operated with so many homemade menu items. Their beer, cider and spirits selection is extensive and - most importantly to me - thoughtfully Irish (with enough other selections to suit any taste). The Barrys and the other members of their staff are so genuinely friendly. Any time I've ever been here, there has been a big and busy crowd, but these guys run a smooth operation and wear a smile in spite of the well-controlled chaos. They seem to genuinely enjoy people and that, to me, is the hallmark of a great business (and authentic pub). There's always something cool happening: live music, trivia, running club, summer Irish festival at the family farm, you name it. Seating is quite limited when the patio is closed, so be prepared to hang by the wall with your drink just in case. Kitchen closes at 9pm (as of this review) so don't be like me and keep showing up late when you're hungry. :) The food is absolutely worth getting there on time for! Try the Guinness cake and thank me later.

Stopped on 4-21-23 and got potato soup which was amazing, and fish and chips, both were perfect. Even the fries are done with perfection. The gentleman working was super nice. I believe Mack, but not positive.

Stayed in Webster for a singing convention this weekend. We were at the Holiday Inn Express 1 Exit away. We were hungry and googled pubs. This came up first. We said let's do it. We arrived on a Friday evening. It was a great time inside, and as I saw the food come out, I couldn't believe it. It was top notch. The group of us ordered the Shepards Pie, Reuben, and Pretzels. Then we saw the fish and chips. We felt like we messed up, but all our dishes were delicious. The Irish band that was playing made it even better. We came back the next day for the Fish and Chips. AMAZING. The special surprise was the group of people just sitting in the corner jamming out and singing. This is hands down the best Irish Food I have ever had with an amazing environment inside.

First timers and so welcomed!! We stopped in for trivia night and right away we loved it. Cozy atmosphere, personable staff and everyone seemed to be related or old friends which is the type of company I want to be around! Trivia was movie themed and really well done! Although we got ZERO answers correct, we DID win the prize for the best doodle! We left with two tee shirts and a pack of Murphy stout! We had Moscow mules with vodka (best muels we've had in a while) and some chippers and curry! A huge portion that is more than enough for two people, we couldn't even finish it. Looking forward to going back and sharing more laughs with whoever is there, a real gem of a place

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful day to sit outside. You order at the bar. Bartender was a complete dick. Very rude about what he had for drinks. Said we have Irish beer. I asked for iced tea and he laughed. They do have wine. Got a Riesling and my husband got a Guinness. Ordered our food. Took over 45 minutes for a fish fry and a chicken panini. Food was very good. He brought out the food in to go containers and all drinks are in disposable cups. Would have rated better because the food was very good but the service was down right rude and not acceptable. He should be happy he has customers in this mess we are In with Covid.

Far and away the best Fish n Chips in Monroe County! I always look forward to coming to this place!

The owners were so pleasant and hospital! We love the decor as it reminded us of places we visited while in Ireland. We enjoyed the soup, the shepard's pie and the Bunraty. All were delicious! Prices were reasonable. Go support this local business. They deserve it!

I have been giving out a lot of 5 star ratings lately. I do not blow smoke, I call 'em like I see 'em and Barry's Old School Irish did not disappoint!!! I have been meaning I visit this place for some time now. With us moving in 3 weeks, I wanted to finally try it. WISH I CAME HERE SOONER!!! I would definitely visited more than once! Upon entering, my friend and I were a bit confused with how the whole seating/ ordering process worked so we wandered around for a bit before someone noticed we looked like lost puppies. Apparently you order at the counter and take a seat and they bring the food to you. The menu is pretty limited. I got the Guinness BBQ chicken sandwich and my friend got the Shepherd's Pie. Both were delicious. Didn't really taste any Guinness in the sauce but it was still yummy! The beer selection is good! We both got a bottle of Hard Pear Cider. Very good! Lighter than Hard Apple Cider. We ate lunch outside on the patio. It was really nice! A bit loud at times due to being at the intersection. Inside seating is limited. Price-wise, Barry's is probably average. Spent $28 for 2 lunches and 2 drinks. Highly recommend!

I have been here several times and the place overall is great. Whether the owners take care of you, their family or their employee everyone is super friendly. They have a variety of drinks (wine, beer, cider, liquor) but their specialty is Irish so while you can get a couple local beers that's not their focus. The food is great, I love their shepherds pie and wish my homemade version came out like theirs. Their pretzels are good as are their burgers and the chicken salad sandwich. I order takeout recently and got their Irish burger and it was delicious, I had been craving a thick juicy burger with a unique flare (not just lettuce, tomato, ketchup and pickle) and theirs hit the spot. I wish I remembered to take a picture of it before I devoured it.

Great little Irish pub. Live music with people huddled around and singing along like the old days. Food was pretty good too.

We started with a flight of mediocre (as it turned out) red wines; a Grenache, an Italian varietal, and a Cabernet. 3x2 or 6 ounces for $15.00. None of the wines were very good. We like to sample wines by the flight so we can drive up to Georgetown liquor and get a bottle. None of these were even close to prompting a visit there. For food we had a peach, tomato, quinoa, goat, and kale salad. We also had a cheese flight and I had the spicy meatballs. Expensive and very small portions. My meatball app was $15 and was 1 and 1/2 small meatballs doused in Frank's with a squirt of blue cheese. It was spicy as advertised but meager. Cheese flight was ok, but also $13 for not a lot. Spoiler alert: if their menu says 'shareable', it's not, unless one of you (or both) are fasting. Service was adequate and we got to enjoy the live music entertainment sound check (we got there before the actual performance). Guy banging on the percussion box: yes, it's way too loud for the tiny space. Usual server upselling of their overpriced menu items and drinks, but not delivering much in the way of hospitality or warmth. I don't think we would go back unless one of our friends wanted to. I think if you just want to drink and listen to live music, this place will work for you.

I…read morehonestly haven't been here in probably 15 years...and the food is just ass good as I remember it. First off I'm going to say there's definitely an issue where they're signage. There's a huge sign out by the road saying they're open seven days a week but if you pull into the parking lot on a Sunday day or Monday, you're gonna realize that is a lie. The hours are correct online, but we didn't look there because we drove by it on a night. It was open and saw the sign so we figured we would go there and we try to go on a Sunday night. There are two signs on the door, one saying that it's open seven days a week and then another one that says closed on Sundays and Mondays. I think they should get that straightened out. If you have mobility issues, you'll definitely wanna park around the back so you can go up a ramp or it's a flatter surface rather than steps if you park in the front . There's a really cute little outdoor patio to eat with heaters obviously, this time of year it's not quite the right weather for that. The inside hasn't changed there's still the county flags on the walls in the ceiling , there's still the big wooden privacy booth with a little Shamrock on the table underneath. There is a fireplace that's lit when it's appropriate and there's wooden tables in the middle of the dining room. It's not a huge restaurant. There's a really large menu that I feel like it can appeal to everybody's tastes. Honestly this place has the best potato skins I've ever had anywhere and they're just like I remember them from when I was younger. They come with a healthy side of sour cream. They didn't have some specials with candied bacon and so I wanted to try it and I asked if I could get a side. I got two sides of very slimy, grizzly limp, bacon. That was my only complaint. I think that candy bacon should be crispy and if the chef wants me to give him some pointers on how to make candy bacon I'll be happy to share my recipe with him. I also had a tomato basil soup for an appetizer because it sounded so delicious and it was really good. It had a nice texture and it was a sweet tomato basil soup . It was very thick almost like a marinara. Delicious! My dad had the turkey temporary grill. I believe it was. It was a turkey sandwich that came with a side of onion as you and he picked out homemade fries to go with it. Honestly, I was having a little bit of FOMO from not ordering it. It looked really good. I asked about desserts. They only had one dessert and this was on Thursday night. . It was a lemon mascarpone cake and it was really delicious. I don't know why I haven't gone here in so long so when I'm back in town again, this will be on my list !
