Teresa did the hiring, and she took special care to make sure that the people she hired were personable and friendly. Since this business has changed hands, that service is a thing of the past. The people simply are not as friendly, and to me it's a totally different place. Yesterday I asked them to cut me a steak because I wanted one that was thicker than the ones they had on display. It was only about 4:30 and they do not close until 8:00. They told me that they had already cleaned their saw so they could not cut a steak. That would've never happened under the old ownership. They went out of their way for customer service. I really hoped that it was just some growing pains, but it's been long enough and things aren't getting better. If the new owners don't get a handle on things I'm afraid they're going to lose a lot of business. They've lost mine.

The customer service at this location is non-existent and many of the staff are just plain rude and…read moreunfriendly. One in particular who works at the deli counter is distinguishes herself by being the worst of the worst. She NEVER greets you and when I've greeted her and asked her how she is doing her response has been either "Ready to go home" or a sarcastic "living the dream". No matter what I order it seems to be the most difficult thing and always seems to annoy her. The meat department is also a challenge. Sometimes the steaks that are precut and in the cooler just aren't what people are looking for. Whenever I've asked for a thicker cut of a steak, I've always been told that they couldn't do it for one reason or another. The seafood department is actually pretty good. They will cook fish order, whether you want it fried or broiled. The problem is that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when they're open. It's really hit or miss as to what time they're cooking. In summary, I'd say that Price Chopper should pray that another supermarket doesn't break ground in Oswego. The ONLY reason I can see why they're still in business is that they have the market cornered.
