I happened upon this orchard as I was doing a delivery in this town and I'm so glad I did. First off the store is much bigger than it looks from the outside. It took me awhile to kind of take it all in to see what they had. Fresh fruits, produce, fresh baked goods, meats, alcohol, fresh fruit juices, candies, and more apples than you know the names for! There is something for everyone here. I had a wonderful lady check me out and I said it was my first time there and she gave me the whole backstory of the place. Any establishment that has been in operation for 60 years (I believe she said) is doing something right in my book! read more

This amazing place is less than 6 min from my NY house. It has been a LONG time staple way back was a stand no walls and added up your order on the paper bag you left with. (My sister added all summer on paper bags w/o a calculator.) Now it is beautiful inside with walls and doors and cash registers- they have a separate greenhouse and mulch pit. I love the cheeses you can ask for and they lop off a hunk to weigh. Dog food and bulbs to plant. They have it all. Love it there! It's such a piece of Oswego that is iconic~unique! read more

My favorite farmer's market in Central New York! I always make it a habit to stop in and pick up some items that I just can't find elsewhere. Croghan bologna, homemade chicken salad (the best I've ever had), penny candy (although it is no longer a penny apiece), super aged cheddars, dog treats that are just the perfect size for our jack Russell, licorice nibs, Amish popcorn, and on and on... Plus, they have some great holiday decorations which we get every season. read more

I often stop here for a coffee and a muffin while traveling, but it's also a great place to stock up on staples. They stock seasonal produce (they have tons of NYS apples right now), as well as milk, apple cider, jam, beer, spices, and gardening needs. Their bagged snack area is diverse and affordable, with pretzels, candy, trail mix and more. They also have a large selection of baked goods. Fresh food for any appetite. They have it all here. Fresh food to fresh baked goods. I come here whenever I get a chance. This place sells fruits, nuts, pies, pastries and other grocery store items. They have something different for every season. The employees are always friendly and helpful. They will take orders over the phone and prepare them for you. The employees are always smiling. This is the only place I've found that makes a BlackBerry pie. This pie comes in two sizes. I always get the big one. The pie is sooo tasty. The best BlackBerry pie I've ever had. They do not use preservatives so it's so fresh tasting. They must be refrigerated and dont hold as long as a grocery store pie, but that's ok because it taste so great it doesn't take long to finish. I love this place. I will always come back to this place. Try some of the biggest cinnamon buns or halfmoon cookies. read more

I LOVE this place! The muffins (many have a cream cheese filling that is to-die-for amazing) are out of this world! So much so that I'm not even sure how much they cost because I literally don't care. Priority is buy-eat. I ordered several dozen for our dessert style wedding reception several years ago and STILL have friends and family request we bring them to events- THAT GOOD. Personally, I love the banana chocolate chip or double chocolate with cream cheese filling. Ontario orchards is one of my favorite places to stop when I am back home! I love everything about it! I love that I am able to get tons of local staples, delicious baked goodies, amazing produce, gifts, flowers and so so much more! I am OBSESSED with the half moon cookies! I get a couple every visit! And obviously the cider!! My new favorite is the sweet fire pickles!! Growing up we always picked apples or just stopped in the orchard to get fresh apples! Love this place!! read more

Ontario Orchards is a home favorite for fresh, local produce, store-made baked goods (cider donuts, anyone?), fudge, fresh cheese curds, and even old fashioned candy. My grandparents had two large vegetable gardens and my grandma was raised on a local farm, but they too came to O.O. for the vast array of locally-grown fruits. In the back of the store is an entire area devoted to landscaping and home decorations. They make wreaths of your choice for indoor or outdoor use and there's even beer and wine-making kits. In winter, this is the place to get a Christmas Tree. Prices are extremely reasonable. The Ouellette family has kept prices low, with quality high. I do wish they carried organic produce, but the local farms would need to go organic for that to happen. It's always best to support local farms whenever possible. A trip home is not complete without coming here. read more

I grew up in sterling and my mom still lives in red creek. I live in buffalo now with my wife, and I am always super stoked to bring her here when we come out here for a a visit. I've been coming here since i was a kid and it hasn't changed a bit and i love that. Things you gotta get: -candy apples -half moon cookies (i like the chocolate cookie base personally, but they have vanilla as well) -apple cider (best you'll ever taste, hands down) -basically any of the baked goods -cheese curds The store also has tons and tons of fresh produce, spices, cute decorations that match the holidays and seasons, candy, lawn and garden products, some meats and cheeses, and did i mention the half moon cookies?! They are open year round, and take both cash and card. You can also find their products at festivals craft fairs in the area, they typically have a tent/table set up. read more

We have just had a very bad experience with Ontario Orchards. I ordered 10 packages of Hofmann Snappy Grillers which were to be sent to us in Tennessee. I probably made the mistake of only saying Snappy Grillers one time, the lady was very friendly and seemed to understand as she said they made a lot of shipments to Florida because Publix no longer carried them. Unfortunately, this company never sent a confirmation of the order. When the order arrived, there were 10 packages of German Franks and a hand written order form that simply said hot dogs. We can buy the Hofmann German Franks every day at our local Publix stores, but not the Snappy Grillers. So I now have ten packages of German hot dogs that we don't want plus the included overnight shipping charges. I called about the incorrect shipment immediately upon receipt, and the lady that I had spoken with denied I ever stated I wanted Snappy Grillers. Had a subsequent conversation with the manager the next day, he refused to say that there could have been a mistake or misunderstanding, and has refused to do anything. He stated the person taking the order has been doing it for years and didn't make a mistake. Said I could dispute through my credit card company if that's what I wanted to do, and hung up ending the conversation. This business should send a confirmation of an order prior to shipping either by text or email to avoid such occurrences. My wife and several of her family members are from the Syracuse area where these grillers are a local specialty. It is very likely we would have made additional orders in time if there had been a satisfactory resolution. I asked for a refund or a corrected order to be shipped. Either would have been acceptable. Instead they basically said it wasn't their problem. Do business with Ontario Orchards if you want, but good luck if there is a problem with the order. read more

Great farm stand stop, quite large a lot of selection of grocery items and also knick-knacks and plants. They sell in season produce and imports as well. Small bakery section with breads, rolls, biscuits, cookies and amazing pies - the Raspberry Pie and Apple Pie are our two favourites! If you're in the neighborhood I suggest you stop by! read more

Ontario Orchards is one of the best things about Oswego. This place is like a farm stand that you may drive past in the summer, only much larger. They carry a wide variety of locally grown fresh produce, fruits, basic grocery stuff, and all kinds of locally made gifts. They also have a large on-site bakery and make great pies, cookies, and breads every day. Outside they have a complete nursery - my family buys must of their flowers and gardening supplies here each Spring. We've purchased trees from the Orchards because they carry a one year warranty on all of their trees and shrubs. They'll deliver soil and mulch to your house by the square yard, too. I worked on the Ontario Orchards farm one summer, so I can confirm that much of the fruits and veggies they sell are very fresh and grown locally. They also grow most of their own Christmas trees, so they've got just about anything you need for all seasons. This place is owned and operated by locals, so it feels quite a bit better than shopping at some of the big box home improvement stores than have opened in the area recently! read more

A cool little spot to stop for baked treats and stocking up for your kitchen. They have lots of local produce and local meat in the freezer. Locally made spaghetti sauce, saurkraut, lots of stuff. For some reason they have a bunch of stuff for making home made wine and beer and jam which I love to see! And finally, I had an apple fritter there that was incredible. Great spot. Cute place with a huge floral and produce selection. Local made honey, syrups, beers, baked goods, and candles. As well as merchandise such as wine and beer making kits, pet goods, and flower pots. There was this super cute pineapple plant that I loved and a lot of unique hanging indoor plants. I always like the indoor hanging plants more than the outdoor! read more

Ontario Orchards is one of the places in Oswego that made me not hate the actual school part as much when I reflect back on my four years there. It was the place I looked forward to going to with friends throughout the school year and during the fall with my family when they came to visit. They have an awesome selection of reasonably priced pumpkins during the fall season and some of the best desserts for when you need to make a quick stop before meeting the significant other's family! They have delicious donuts and muffins, always was a fan of their apple pie too. They have so many goodies; chocolate covered these and yogurt covered that. Their apple cider is delicious and their produce isn't bad at all. Their mums are beautiful in the fall, just make sure you don't wear your good shoes here because the ground is awfully muddy. They are open year round, have great gift baskets for the holidays and the perfect pit stop when entertaining. It contributes a charm to Oswego that it is DESPERATE for. read more

Just went back again (and drove 1.5 hrs to get there) and prices went up considerably and selection was not as good as it was in past. Always stop when traveling through Oswego to Rochester. From top soil to hot sauces they have quite the variety. They have an awesome assortment of cheese cut straight from the block. They also have an abundance of pet items particularly homemade doggie biscuits which our pup loves. If your in the area I definitely recommend stopping in. read more
