We ordered a side of corned beef hash, side of home fries with onions, sour dough and two eggs poached,; uninspiring at best. But the portion was large and fed us both. I don't think folks come here for the great food. The come for average food, large portion and reasonable pricing. They have prime rib and fish fry Fridays so we will try that as well. I'd recommend only because of the great service and atmosphere. The food was meh.

They've cleaned up the inside and updated the menu. The food is delicious and not outrageously priced. I love that they have drinks like pina coladas and margaritas (even though they're non alcoholic). It's the only restaurant in the state park, so unless you go into town it's all you have when you're at the beach. But it's good food and good service so I definitely recommended checking it out.

We could have easily shared one and maybe had leftovers as we also both ordered breakfast in addition to these two monster pancakes. Now please understand I was in no way upset. While it is true my wife could have warned me about the size, and he could have said something as well, it was okay. I still finished everything and most of my pancake. Over all the service was great, like I said this guy was cooking for the whole restaurant and he's still found the time to check on us and made sure our coffee was full. I will definitely go back next time I'm in the area however it might be a little while because I live a couple hours away. The only thing I wish I had done that I forgot, when you order toast with your breakfast, the bread is homemade and they sell it by the loaf. White, wheat, rye, they have all of it. I meant to buy a loaf and I forgot. I look at it now though it's just an excuse to go back, and of course to grab another one of those pancakes... The staff are friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I was very hungry so after asking a few questions to our waitress, she helped me decide on steak and eggs with hash browns and rye toast. The eggs were egg-cellent (such a dad joke I know but they were tasty!), the steak was cooked literally exactly how I wanted it!!! The hash browns were crispy and perfectly done. I am such a sucker for rye bread, so of course their rye toast was delectable with butter. Honestly, this is such an iconic place to go in B-ville. I would eat here when I was in college and needed to take a break from studying across the street at the library. Their standards are just as good, if not better, now!
