Not super cheap, but the chicken pesto panini and homemade apple sauce were really good. Also got a small waffle cone; it was delicious and a large serving! Cute place with pumpkins for sale, and activities for children including goats and chickens. Would definitely return! (Great spot if at Chimney Bluffs or visiting Sodus Point)

Plus a great lawn for kids to scamper around on to burn off that ice-cream fueled energy.

Kenneth Datthyn Farms - Cheapest fruit on the ROC market at Datthyns. I was always the cheapest rent boy on the meat market, too, ironically.

Guys just want apples from Kenneth Datthyn Farms in Sodus. I'm not surprised. They're good and extraordinarily cheap! If you don't know Sodus, it means salt in Aramaic. True story. Sort of. It's a lakeside town somewhere between SYR and ROC. I came across Datthyn at the Rochester Market which is only on Tue, Thu and Sat til just after lunch time. He had a massive array of fresh fruits and a very long... long... long stall. :) I could not believe the prices! $1 for about 7 or 8 apples? Are you serious? I was very impressed to say the least. Awesomeness. They weren't the best or juiciest apples I ever had, but they were tasty and worked perfectly for my fruit drinks. They are literally *one quarter* the price of the apples at Wegmans and Tops and such. One dollar... that's about 12 cents per apple, or something ridiculous like that. You will not get a better deal on apples than this. They had a lot of great deals on a lot of fruits and veggies but none as remarkable as these fire-sale apples. Amazing. I went to most of the fruit stands on this market and didn't find anything else quite as shockinly cheap as Datthyn. So I highly recommend them for massive savings and good products. Now I'll leave you with a former Fu-Gee. Although as Tom Petty so eloquently told us, you don't have to live like a Fu-Gee. Specialties would be their jams and pickles- I have fun just looking at the names of them. Their candy selection is also good, especially if you like gummy candies. I can also find some unique sodas such as white birch beer, sassafras soda, and cheerwine to name a few. There is a little gift shop/religious books section near the front, which can be nice to browse through. Saunders sells outdoor furniture and decor, and there is a furniture store proper attached. I've been especially tempted by their swiveling and gliding rocking chairs. I've had some good food at the cafe, the Reuben in particular being super tasty. You do have to enter the cafe through the store and park your cart before you go into the cafe. You order at the counter and then the staff gives you a number and will bring you your meal. Car parking is ample here but there are speed bumps, so watch it! I haven't noticed any bike racks, so cyclists likely need to get creative. The store is closed on Sundays and can be busy with campers during the summer months.
