We decided to swing by Lagoner Farms, and bought some Cortland apples which had been in cold storage all winter, some freshly harvested asparagus (which was SO YUMMY! -- what a difference it makes to eat local foods!) And some super-dry champagne-like hard cider. Can you say YUM?!?! Not only was it a feast for the eyes ... and belly .... but did our souls good, to get out of town and into nature. We also saw flowers, art, hard cider and wine, popcorn, baked goods, chocolates, honey, wood, leather, clay, paper, jewelry, and fiber works. Also some ready-to-eat asian food. There was even a tour boat docked out back. The range of goods was amazing. The open air market was a nice weekend activity.
