While on vacation in the finger lakes region, we had a cooler rainy day that we were looking for something to do. Wy wife found out about the farmers market that was about 30 min drive from us. It was a beautiful drive, we saw many waterfalls and countless wineries on the way. Parking appeared to be daunting, but with a bit of patience we scored a spot close to one of the entrances. It was crowded, but everyone was pleasant and moving through the crowd wasn't an issue. We sampled a few things, bought a couple things, had a snack and enjoyed our time there. It was well worth our time to visit, we always enjoy local venues when we travel. You are fortunate to have this in your town

Covered Farmers Market, great to visit rain or shine.

It was a rainy day and I was looking for things to do in the area. The farmer's market is covered and there were so many vendors! I was able to sample and purchase delicious local honey, smoked cheese, and honey comb. We purchased a beautiful handmade headband and jewelry for my daughter. There are so many unique art and other items to look at/ purchase. Loved the view of Cayuga Lake as well. There are food vendors and bathrooms as well.

First time here since I was a student at Cornell - this is an amazing farmers market!! It's definitely less produce focused than most farmers markets and instead has much more prepared food vendors and vineyards/cideries doing tastings. It's probably 50% wine tastings realistically. The prepared food is a little pricey - dishes will run about $15 or more. Snacks (eg samosas, dumplings) are around $6-8. There are also some coffee and drink stands (kombucha, lemonade, etc). There's ample parking and the spot is wonderful, situated right on the waterfront. Overall this is a great way to spend a weekend morning. Highly recommend a stop while you're in town.

Terrible traffic to come out.

Farmers' market is nice. Strawberry lemonade is worth trying but the situation on the parking lot is not worth it. Spent 2 hours trying to get out. Nobody regulates the traffic. Worst. Even called the police, and they said it as a common situation. Guys do not park on the market's parking lot unless u have a lot of fee time.

Ithaca Farmers Market seems to be one of the popular places to visit based on online recommendations of things to do in Ithaca, so made it a point to stop by on a weekend visit to Ithaca. The waterfront location on Cayuga Lake with benches and walking paths make it a cute place to visit. The stalls have a variety of vendors selling produce, wines, crafts, specialty goods, cooked foods, coffee, cider, ice cream, and much more. One downside is that there's no place to sit within the market, so you have to leave the market to find a place to sit, relax, or eat food. I felt it lacked quick food options for those who didn't want a full meal, and lacked vendors that sold local baked goods. My favorite part was the live music out by the Cayuga Lake pier where you can sit and enjoy lake views while listening to music. The pier is where Discover Cayuga Lakes cruises take off from on weekends. Overall, I'd rate the Ithaca Farmers Market a 3.5/5 as a fun place to kill an hour or so and perhaps pick up something if you find yourself bored on the weekend while visiting Ithaca.

Better than ever with covered areas, lots of good options, etc. Had the savory crepe and iced coffee and walked around looking at hand made art: screen-printed shirts, wooden bowls, jewelry, etc. lots of wine, cheese, and yogurt tastings to boot. Plenty offers and seasonal veggies. Only fruit was strawberries. Cambodian good, samosas, and breakfast burrito stands had very long lines but the food looked delicious. Plenty of parking, seating by the lake and even a hiking trail (1.2 miles) that you can take after and it goes along the water. You can also rent a boat tour while you're down there.

The best farmers market I've ever been to! You'll find tons or organic produce, flowers, plants, herbs, honeys, wines, leather goods, jewelry, amazing food and my favorite --40 Weight Espresso! Parking can be a challenge. I usually find a spot, but when I don't, I go to the medical building parking lot nearby on the water and you can pick up a trail that leads to the market there. The customer service is great. There is always someone on duty to help. There are two bathrooms, but I often run into Aldi and use theirs before I hit the market. The market is pretty dreamy. Wood plank floors, music and lights adorn the market. I promise, you'll love it!

My friends and I came here on a Saturday morning at 10am. We expected it to be super crowded, and while it was busy, it wasn't as bad as we expected. There are a great selection of vendors (produce, baked goods, hot food, homeware, decor, jewelry, soap/bath products, etc). Everyone we spoke with was so friendly and nice. I'd highly recommend to anyone in the area!

The Ithaca Farmers Market gets a lot of hype, but I wasn't blown away. Stop in for lunch, said everyone. They have great food for lunch, said everyone. We came in at 1 and every savory food kiosk was completely wiped or had a massive line. We were only able to get our hands on bread and ice cream. The savory food kiosks didn't feel like what you'd typically find at a Farmers Market. They felt a little heavy... maybe in 100 degree weather I just wasn't feeling the heavy Cambodian noodles. I wish there were a few lighter grab and go options like tacos / sandwiches. You also cannot get a glass of wine or beer. Only a small tasting and a full size bottle. Not ideal if you want to walk around and have a drink with your eats. Seating is limited and it was just a bit of a hot mess. I regretted not having a nice and relaxing lunch downtown. The upside - produce looked fresh and bountiful and the flowers were gorgeous. There are of course lots of locally made goodies and if you are looking to shop vs eat there is a ton of selection. Unfortunately for lunch this just wasn't our best bet. Lesson learned!

Local flowers!

One of the best farmers markets I have ever been to. Great selection of local produce, flowers, amazing food vendors. Amazing! Just watch out for the big potholes when you go to park!

Different concept from Madison's (WI) farmer's market. It's good for buying groceries groceries. It offers a good variety of produce. Go early, it gets crowded as it is a popular market. The gluten-free crepes and matcha coffee (different stands) that I had for breakfast were good/healthy but had no flavor...they were really healthy. FYI Bring your own bags as they don't provide any.

Consistently a great visit. The food, flowers, and atmosphere is always what you expect of a great market place.

I could have CRIED walking up to this market! What a beautiful dream it is with its adorable booths and vendors and oasis-style atmosphere. It is just so stunning. There's something for everyone including amazing eats, ice cream, honeys, soaps, art, produce, flowers, and much more. I only wish it was open more frequently so I could stop by anytime I am in town. Only open on Saturdays and the traffic does get a little crazy. We parked father away from the market proper so we would have an easier time getting out. The market is situated right on the water which allows for gorgeous views as you take in the sights and smells. I purchased a Farmers Market sweater and will wear it with pride. We had limited time as we were headed to a show after our visit, but I could have stayed and chatted with vendors/sat an enjoyed snacks for HOURS. Do NOT miss this market if you're in Ithaca on a Saturday!

Shtayburne Farm - Our 12 cheese and ice cream flight

Shtayburne Farm

Such a fun experience!…read more So many fun flavors of icecream and different cheeses! Not to mention the adorable cows!! We tried the flight of 8-- 5 icecreams and 3 cheeses. For icecream we tasted the purple cow, peach cobbler, cookies and cream, black cherry chocolate, and the coffee heath crunch. My favorite was the coffee flavor- unlike other coffee icecreams I've had, this coffee had a much more robust and richer flavor profile. I liked cookies and cram-- always a classic. The cherry flavor was a tad too artificial for my liking. Purple cow was fine- very similar to the Cornell Dairy flavor- both are good though! I liked the peach cobbler flavor though wish there were more of the mix-ins. For cheeses, we tasted the butter garlic cheddar curds, the signature Summit Cheddar, and the plain quark. The garlic cheddar curds were so good, I took a bag home with me! Summit cheddar had a nice nutty flavor, not too 'sharp' though. The quark was interesting... it had a rather mild flavor and interesting texture (similar to boursin). I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it. I also took home a bag of the tomato basil cheese curds which I didn't like as much as the garlic ones. The tomato ones had a very subtle flavor-- too subtle. There was a line when we got there though it moves relatively quickly and is definitely worth the wait! Overall, I had so much fun picking out so many icecreams and cheeses to taste as well as seeing the cows! I would highly recommend Shtayburne Farm!

A fourth generation dairy farm that excels in cheese and ice cream. We tried the 8 flight. 4 cheeses 4 ice creams. All were delicious. I tried the peach habernero Quark and immediately needed to buy one in the case. Its a super protein and so creamy. I can't wait to pair it with celery sticks for a nice snack. They offer a few coffee drinks as well. I ordered a caramel Americano. Next time I am in the area I will definitely come by again!

They sell groceries, cheeses, meats, snacks, bread, coffee, and awesome swag, all from local farms, and restaurants, and businesses in the area. This is also the spot if you want to have an evening in or pack a picnic to take to the lake stuffed with amazing goodness from the local farms I am a "Part-time" local and today was my first day popping in. I wanted to stay in tonight but still have a delicious local meal. I bought a bag of Polenta from Farmer Ground. (Trumansburg) Chèvre garlic and pepper from Lively run goat dairy. (Interlaken) Chilled Mediterranean quinoa salad (Stonecat Cafe in Hector NY) and frozen Garlic bratwurst (packed by Timberland Meats (Dundee) farm fresh asparagus, and chocolate milk from (Sunset view creamery) They have great shaded parking, and I was able to pull in on a nice windy day and leave my dog in the car with the windows down. I ran into a couple of other locals that I knew and struck up a pleasant conversation. They have picnic table out front, so you can buy your farmdelicious foods and eat them out side and enjoy the day. Locals and tourists alike, we're hanging out at the picnic tables, having fun. Their decor is so cute. Perfect country store vibe, with a granola and wine twist. It's nice to see a small family business connecting locals farms and community through the food they carry. Today was an extra bonus day, because Nickels BBQ food truck was parked in lot, their BB sauce is also sold inside Burdett exchange, if you want your own bottled sauce. After I cashed out with ny groceries. I popped over to them for a brisket sandwich, coleslaw, and fries. If you're lucky enough to see them there when you pop over, highly recommend giving them a try, delicious and I will review them separately. This place is downtown burdett 3 simple streets from Route 414 and is a must try, and grab some gifts for your friends while you're there. Now my biggest decision today is what wine to pair with my dinner in tonight. Lol
