Plus, Sweet Land acts as a stop for other CSA producers (chicken, eggs, pork, apples,maple syrup) so your trips to the grocery store become more focused and limited. There is nothing so wonderful to be in the fields as the sun comes up, listening to the sounds of the birds, the bugs and picking something wonderful that can be cooked down and readied for a sunshiny day in January. I don't think I could have had a better time, the class was well crafted and executed, so well executed that I do believe I could do this at home. I expect bread at a farmers market to be freshly made. I shouldn't have to put my glasses on to read dates. Very disappointed

They claim they have been trying to get a collegetown pickup location for years, but I really have a hard time believing this as Full Plate had no problem securing one at Stewart Ave. and Buffalo St. The vegetables are fresh and relatively inexpensive compared to other CSA's. Unfortunately, the hills in Ithaca make the pickup locations inconvenient for people who don't have a car and live up the hill.

We have started eating WAY more veggies since we joined the CSA. It's a lot of fun figuring out what to do with the veg you get, and you get to try stuff you have never bought before.
