My daughter has had a terrible experience with Kinney Drugs. I prefer to support small businesses so decided to try them but it's been nothing but a headache. First, they told my daughter that they didn't have all the RXs and were very rude to her. It wasn't until I called that they somehow realized that they did indeed and it was their error. They never apologized, just said ok she can come back tomorrow. So she made a SECOND trip to Kinney. Back at her dorm as she was filling her meds, she realized she was missing one. So, I called this morning and after they told me they didn't have it and then said oh the insurance won't cover it until X date, I reiterated that was incorrect and magically "it will be filled today". No apology. No "my mistake". Furthermore, they refuse to allow the medication to be delivered to the main desk of the dorm (and the 4 hour delivery window is while she is in back to back classes) so she now has to make her third trip to Kinney Drugs (with no car). I will be switching to Walmart.

I do however believe at some point, lessons need to be taught.... This place has turned into a dumpster fire in the last few years. 20+ year customer, same dr's and NO MATTER WHAT, some issue arises each and every time I'm there. Today was the final straw. I have been with the same dr, getting the same sleeping medication for 10+ years. We have been playing around with different doses or extended release versions over the past 6 months to find the least amount of this medication that works properly and Does not make me feel like I'm in a bubble the next day. Keep this in mind, I live (have homes) 3 different places in Nys. I travel constantly for work, I use different pharmacies depending where I'm going to be when the refill ones due. Today after 6 days of delays I finally get the health insurance company to understand why we are getting different doses and styles of this particular medication... my dr, the man whom went to medical school is working with me closely through this process, but apparently the pharmacist MEGAN , working 6/20/24 at 4:00 is far more intellectually savvy then my said dr. She refused to give me my medication as I received different doses several weeks ago. She then treated me like I was a drug seeking scumbag , whom was running pharmacy to pharmacy trying to get some actual sleep. Had she asked , I would have explained all to her. I even had my drs office call her, she went and hid in the corner and quietly basically said I think he's drugs seeking sleeping pills. I mean grow up. Ask me a few questions for god sake. I'm 50 years old, fairly successful ,but I do have a horse farm, YES I looked homeless during this crazy heat wave upstate ny is having , and yes, I was extremely irritated after 7 hrs out in the sun today. I know Kinney does not care about one singular customer, but I hope many people read this review and maybe avoid the consistent issues myself and clearly othered are facing there. As a side note, the complete lack of actions from every bad review you have received , and responding with a generic "we were sorry to hear about your bad experience, just proves how little you value your customer concerns, or Actually care in any way about making your business better by removing / or retraining employees whom act in this way towards customers . You have to do better Kinney's!

Even though we bought Coronas from here more then five time before. So I sent my bf to the car and tried to purchase myself with my ID that is perfectly good and they refused me again which had me highly upset. The little Spanish boy was extremely rude and sarcastic to me that works in self checkout. And his manager Cherie was rude too and didn't care about the situation as all. So I asked to speak to a higher authority manager because my ID was perfectly fine and legal why they were still refusing me of purchase. He said I could come back tomorrow. Which I don't understand the difference between tomorrow and now. Tomorrow I will still have the same bf with a crack ID. So I asked for their policy that said that. Matt the manager refused to show me the policy, and threaten that I would never be able to shop at this Walmart again and I did absolutely nothing wrong. I will never ever be shopping at this Walmart or any Walmart again they have lost my business forever. Wonderful store layout and accessibility. The isles are pristine and shelves stocked. Parking is easy. There are ramps to the entrance. Clean, crisp and well-lit establishment that also carries food, snacks, emergency items, tooth pastes, drinks, soda, beer, clothes and also a nice variety of tourist inspired items: flip flops, hats, t-shirts, picnic items, chairs, blankets and much much more! Unlike other local stores like Walgreens, Kinney Drug has an easy and friendly walk-up to the counters. This store was absolutely spotless.. There are freezer isles and also an isle of canned goods.
