Such a cute cafe and a lot more spacious than I had anticipated! Staff is also very friendly. There are a variety of drink options, pastries (sweet and savory), and even some grab and go lunch items available. They also sell some very cute greeting cards, earrings, magnets, etc. We ordered two drinks (Ube Espresso, Crème Brûlée latte), a flower pot mini cake (chocolate cake with raspberry filling in a decorative flower pot), a crème brûlée donut, and a spinach puff. The desserts were good, with the flower pot mini cake being our favorite. The chocolate cake was moist and the raspberry filling was balanced. We didn't love the flower frosting on top, but it was very pretty. The donut was very unique and filled to the brim with a fluffy cream - though we both thought it could've had a bit more flavor. The dough was perfect - soft and pillowy. The crème brûlée top made for a fun eating experience as the thin hard sugar had a satisfying crunch. The spinach puff was also delicious. Flaky pastry and cheesy filling - very comforting. The stars of the show were the drinks. The coffee was superb - balanced, smooth, and rich in flavor. While I didn't find the ube flavor to stand out, the ube espresso drink was still one of my favorite coffee drinks I've had. The Crème Brûlée latte was my friend's favorite - it was the perfect dessert drink. It even had the sugar crust on top. I would definitely come back to try more of their menu! read more

Cake Bar - The Cafe is an adorable stop in downtown Syracuse. The interior is really modern, inviting, and has gentle music playing. There is always a pleasant vibe to it and often there are people chatting or working on laptops. Employees are always really nice. I really enjoy the Pandan Matcha. Its so hard to find pandan drinks in the area! I find the drinks are often really sweet and so its important to order them with no sugar or less sugar. The boba is okay although the straws they have been using lately are too small for them so they lose some of the shape and correct texture. A random thing I love about their drinks are they used a crushed ice, it makes it feel appropriately portioned to the drink itself. Although I am not a coffee person, the cafe lattes are my partner's favorite in the area and they are highly customizable. It's also nice that they offer a carrier when you have a few drinks to-go. Interestingly, the cake and desserts are the weaker part for me for Cake Bar. They are often pretty dry for my tastes. My favorite has been the potato chip cookies, but I have only seen them a few times. The chicken wing dip buns are pretty good and filling though and are worth trying! Overall its a great stop and a nice place to bring friends when they stop by or to hang out whilst doing some work. read more

I always have a great experience here. The employees are friendly and helpful and the desserts are delicious. It is a very fun place to sit and relax. I get something different each time I come. Today I had the Taro Espresso Iced. I really enjoyed this one mainly because it wasn't super sweet. The taro was a nice combination with the smooth espresso. Cake Bar is a gem that deserves five stars just for their incredible chicken pot pie. Flaky, savory perfection! The Vietnamese coffee is pretty solid, didn't taste quite authentic but close enough. The cafe itself is spacious and cozy, it's a great spot to study or work with plenty of room to spread out. Parking is a hassle in this area but that is no fault of the cafe. Staff is always hustling making drinks so don't expect warm welcomes every time. I've run into issues with availability of chicken pot pie. I've struck out the first three times I went trying get one, they're always either sold out or not on the menu. More consistent stock please! read more

I finally made it to cake bar during winterfest and dropped in during the rosenco permanent jewelry pop up shop. Such a cute place and very lively with lots of groups meeting up there. I wanted to try the winterfest special but they were out of the coffee so I got their new Dubai latte and bacon egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. Everything was delicious and I loved the toppings. The sandwich was good, I got it on a croissant and immediately ate it needed it before work. I will definitely be back to try more and especially their cakes and desserts. read more

This might be my new favorite cafe - they have everything you could think of! I tried the Vietnamese iced coffee and the toasted coconut iced coffee and both delicious, bonus points for the adorable heart shaped straw!! The entire cafe is decorated with such thought for valentine's day and looks so pretty - I hope to see it decorated throughout all seasons and holidays! The baristas are super sweet and the crafts/gift area has such fun and cute items, I couldn't leave without buying a crochet flower.. This might become a weekly visit. read more

Still one of my favorite spots in Syracuse. The inside is adorable, and the menu is filled with so many treasures that are every bit as lovely to look at as they are to devour. Seriously hooked on their banana pudding. I get it at every downtown festival I see them at. When I'm in the cafe, I love going for the crab rangoon roll. It's good for lunch, or those times when you need a little something savory to balance out all the sweet. Love seeing all the events and pop ups/collabs they do too. What a great collaboration from Cake Bar x FatBrotherSyr x SavorCuse (follow all three on Instagram for more events). I've never been to Cake Bar before after this visit my family said it's a must in our rotation of cafe/bakery. My children picked out their desserts as my husband picked out our drinks. The cupcake in a cone was my littlest one choice, the cake was light and the frosting was delicious(we're picky family when it comes to frosting lol). My oldest wanted the "Fruit Bowl" which I believe were different mousses in a waffle dish. I tasted a little the different flavor mousses were delicious, light and airy. My husband loved the mousse flavor as well, he kept saying "wow, wow" lol. He picked out the strawberry lemonade which had muddle strawberries at the bottom. He enjoyed it. I've been on an iced raspberry herbal tea kick lately, that was good here. The cafe was so cute as you walk in, floral decor. In the back there was a floral backdrop with the Cake Bar sign to take cute photos in front of. It had decent amount of seating inside also a small outdoor seating area. It's downtown so finding parking isn't the easiest on street but there's parking lots close by. We also enjoyed FatbrotherSyr pop up event at Cake Bar. FatBrotherSyr runs out of a ghost kitchen as well collaborate with local businesses to host these pop ups. We had the fried chicken wings, which were delicious. They were crispy and the chili fish sauce dressing they were tossed in made it. Hey don't be afraid of the funk from the dressing it's delicious. I love papaya salad and the sticky rice was perfect. Next I had the tofu summer rolls, they were delicious as well. So herbaceous and light, paired with sweet chili sauce. I normally love a peanut or fish sauce based dipping sauce but the sweet chili was great with it too. We love supporting our local businesses and trying new places out. I stopped by for desert and coffee after going out to dinner in Syracuse. You walk-in, place your order at register, which is next to a bunch of their pasteries and cakes, and then you wait for your name to be called. Service was slow, but they were busy, but overall they employees didn't seem to enthusiastic. The cappuccino I had was excellent. More espresso than frothed milk and the quality of the espresso was great. I also had the lotus cake, which was made with cookie butter. Honestly, this was a little disappointing, I had hoped it would be a little more cookie butter forward. My mother-in-law ordered a berry pastry, which she enjoyed and I had the banana pudding. The banana pudding was excellent and was very similar to the one I make, which is a take on the banana pudding made at Magnolia bakery in NYC. Seriously, whether you like banana pudding or you don't, you should try Cake Bar's. The ambiance was cool. It is a bit of an open layout with large tables where people can sit, enjoy their coffee and pastry and play bored games or just chill. Overall, I loved it. So many options for drinks and was pleased they did decaf coffee for us. So many great options for a nice dessert, you can find something for everyone. Many gluten-free selection as well. We ordered the chicken pot pie, Guinness chocolate cupcake, lotus cookie cake, and macarons. Amazing. Everything was delicious and not too sweet. Honestly I don't like super sugary desserts, especially buttercream, but the lotus butter cream was so delicious and not too sweet. Waited 32 minutes for 2 to go drinks and watched multiple people who arrived after us receive their food and drinks before we did and watched my matcha sit on the counter ready to go for 10 minutes. The raspberry center in the flower pot was a nice surprise, it give the dessert more flavor to break the chocolate which was a nice addition. The flower pot came with a shovel spoon, my son loved this! How fun! The heart tart reminded me of a marshmallow with a light cherry flavor and a sugar cookie type base. This dessert has a light, fluffy texture and overall is a lightly sweet dessert, which was beautifully presented. The chocolate chip cake was a large slice and very filling, I shared and still could not finish it. This cake was made with lotus cookies, it gave it a good, unique flavor with an undertone of caramel. The mixture of layers was enjoyable to give the cake more complex flavors to mimic a chocolate chip cookie experience. It was not overly sweet which was delicious. Parking was a bit tricky being in the city, but that's to be expected. We came during the day and managed to get a spot on the side road. Overall a real treat to come here! read more

I've been here a few times and as soon as you walk in there are items on display you can buy, the menu on a large wall and two separate display cases of desserts and savory snacks you can choose from. I will admit they're not my favorite bubble tea place as the mint leaves in my fruit teas aren't my favorite part, but the desserts are great.y niece and I both ordered the strawberry shortcake and it was light and fluffy. One time we came here there were small independent vendors doing business here as well such as a permanent jewelry vendor and homemade mugs/candles. OMG hands down one of the cutest cafes! Tried their tiramisu latte (with oat milk) and it was absolutely delicious! The foam was light and bouncy. The drink itself is soooo good it makes you feel like you're having dessert instead of coffee (but somehow it's also not too sweet at the same time, iykyk) And now the decor!
